Montse is the most fantastic guide we've ever had on Viator, or any cruise ship excursion period! She explained things easily for us. She adapted some things to accommodate our needs too. Very informative and personal with us. You should have more guides like her!!

Our guide was a little scattered and said the same things over snd over, got caught up on details unrelated go our tour, asked same questions multiple times. I would suggest doing this on your own. Take Funicular, then cable car up. Once there, it’s full of great information.

Pepa is friendly and approachable. In addition, to being quite knowledgeable. If you have only few hours in Barcelona then go ahead and book with Pepa. I would highly recommend her tour.

If you're visiting Barcelona, do not skip the Montjuïc cable car and private castle tour; and if you're lucky enough to get Pepa as your guide, consider it the highlight of your trip. From the moment we met, she made the experience feel personal rather than like a standard tour stop. Pepa's knowledge of Barcelona's history was incredible — she wove together stories about the castle, the city, and Montjuïc itself in a way that made everything come alive, not just a list of dates and facts. The cable car ride up offered some of the most stunning views of the city and coastline, and she made sure we stopped at all the right spots to take it in. She also has a great eye for photography — she took some of the best pictures I have from the entire trip, capturing both the views and candid moments without it ever feeling forced or rushed. Beyond the tour itself, Pepa was genuinely generous with her local knowledge. She gave me spot-on recommendations for what else to see in Barcelona and where to eat, all suggestions that felt like they came from a true local who loves her city, not just a script. On top of all of that, she was just a warm, wonderful person to spend the afternoon with. It's rare to find a guide who combines deep expertise with that kind of genuine hospitality. Highly, highly recommend requesting Pepa if you book this tour.

Pepa was a wonderful tour guide and a wealth of information. We started at the market and walked around a bit while she explained history etc. She gave us a few minutes to wander on our own and then it was up the furnicular and cable car to the castle. She provided a lot of history of castle, Barcelona and Spain. The castle was interesting and the views were spectacular. Highly recommend. It was hot when we went. Recommend purchasing a fan beforehand 😊. There was a breeze on the terrace.

It was am excelent service, Stephanie bring us to a very interesting piece of history with references, places, people from the past. I am not able to stablish what was the best, due to each step of the journey contained unforgetable details. I want to point out that Stephanie has a bag with very nice support about histoty and this made me feel confident to be with a profesional person. Talking about Stephanie qualities, from my view she is a really kind person and she makes us feel as if she were a friend from many years ago. I strongly recommend Sstephanie services at Barcelona.

Great experience overall and great guide

The guide Katy was awesome and shared lots of information about the city that we did not know yet, despite already being in Barcelona for a few days. Katy took us on a walk around the city for up to an hour, took photos for us, and then took us up to the castle. It was a great learning and fun experience!

Monste, our Montjuic guide is wonderful; so full of energy, knowledge and knows how to make you feel welcome and special! The tour of the gothic quarter was made all the more fascinating thanks to Montse’s insights and local understanding. We made our way through the metro with Monste leading the way, making it fun, safe and easy. Then the trip up the funicular to the cable car. It was the most majestic way to reach the top of Montjuic with breathtaking views and scenery. Montse continued with high energy and more incredible knowledge to make the trip an absolute highlight of Barcelona! If you need a guide, Monste is world class!! Thank you Montse!!!

This is a fabulous tour and well worth the money. It was just Kitty (pronounced Katty). Because it was private, we were able to modify some of the stops and where we ended.

Please do not let the reflection of 4 stars affect our guide. She was wonderful! The lack of 5 stars is for the tour operator who booked us a private tour at 10am. We showed up and no guide was there to meet us. I tried to contact them in WhatsApp as instructed, but the response was very slow. I call the local number (which was long distance for me ) and spoke to a representative who insisted I had the time wrong and our tour was actually at 12:30. I told him I am looking at my reservation and it clearly states 10 o’clock. But that did not seem to matter, I was wrong. So now we had to rearrange our day and accommodate a 12:30 tour. Our guide met us on time at the location for the meet up. She was very informative and you could tell she had a real passion for her country. She took us to the top of the Barcelo Raval Hotel to get the best views of Barcelona and gave a great back history of the leaders, the government and the pride of Spain. She was very detailed and gave us useful information for being a tourist in Barcelona. She ensured our safety and navigated her tour to our way of thinking, which we appreciated. Thank you so much for a lovely day!

With the luck of the draw we got Monsa as a guide. She was an absolute delight and extremely well informed. Instead of the usual pointing out - this building is so and so, that building is so and so, we got the complete history and up to rhe day current politics of the area which we loved and gave us a great understanding of place. She was terrific and it was a very informative and enjoyable experience.

Montserrat is a remarkable guide. She will bring you to places that surprise and delight you; all the time sharing the perspective only a local can have. She was happy to answer our many questions. We felt like we visited Barcelona with a friend. It is a highlight of our trip.

In addition to the history of the city we also had an opportunity to see the city from the street, a 360 degree view from the top of a hotel and travel in the funicular and cable cars. This tour gave us an excellent overview about Barcelona old town. Additionally, we visited Montjuïc Castle with its amazing views, it was also much fun to take the cable car and funicular. Montse was our guide, she was very knowledgeable and also very helpful as we could do all the planned morning visits, and were also able to arrive on time to our afternoon tour.

Montse was amazing! She made my cousins and i’s experience amazing in Barcelona! We learned so much history and saw much of the culture and architecture! It was truly magical!

Tour guide did not show up. We were asked to join a group or wait 30 minutes or more. Asking for a partial refund.

I was worried about a tour with kids and little legs- but my kids loved this tour. Our guide, Kathy, was prompt, knowledgeable, fun, and sweet. This tour was more than we expected and absolutely awesome. My kids are still talking to anyone and everyone about the history of Barcelona and saints fighting dragons. I totally recommend Kathy and this tour, and also highly recommend the private setting with kids. We kid sit when we needed to, find drinks when we needed to, and we felt as though the kids (ages 8-twins and 13 year old) really got a lot out of the excursion. So fun!

We were lucky enough to have Pepa as our guide for this tour. She was very knowledgeable about the old town and the tour was very enjoyable. Ours was a small group of 7 which was a perfect size. After we explored the old town we had a ride in a cable car up to Montjuic castle where we had an amazing view of the city and port, I would recommend this walking tour especially if you get Pepa as your guide.

Loved the tour... Pepa our guide was full of infectious enthusiasm. She made sure to explain and describe the interesting places. The tour went according to the itinerary mentioned and never felt rushed. Highly recommended! Just that a walk through the Gothic quarter could have been included, since we were so close.

Had an excellent time with Pepa. She explained a lot of details to us and was very nice. My son was limping cause he hurt his toe on the way to the tour and she modified the tour for us so he had less walking.

We walked the streets of Las Ramblas and saw where the walls of Barcelona stood. We stopped at the Market for a sweet treat! We enjoyed riding the Funicular and the cable car to the top of the hill to see 360 degree views of the city. The castle was a work of art and the views were nothing short of extraordinary!

We were lucky to have Valentina as our guide. She took us to all the best bits of the old town, explaining in detail all of the history. Then we went on to Montjuic Castle which had the most amazing views over Barcelona, and again a lot of history which Valentina was excellent at sharing with us. We had a very mixed group but Valentina kept us all engaged and answered all of our questions. Would highly recommend this tour

Our tour guide, Monste, was excellent! Her vast historical knowledge and love of this city was evident in her thorough tour of Old Town & Montjuic. The funacular was new & air conditioned. Views from the mountain fortress were spectacular. Highly recommend!
