Private Barcelona Beer Bike Tour

Good evening, Thank you for this afternoon's ride, but it wasn't what you had promised us. We covered 100 metres on a dirt road on the outskirts of Barcelona, when you had promised us a tour of the city. We barely managed to lift the spirits of our friend, whose birthday we were celebrating and to whom we had promised a city tour. We thank Mark for his kindness and helpfulness, but we were very disappointed. You had advertised it as a "tour in Barcelona".

We were really looking forward to this but it ended up completely not how we pictured. First off they were trying to persuade us to have the boat as the bike was broken with only 2 days notice and we already had a water activity booked after so this wouldn’t work. They picked us up okay but the tour wasn’t even in the centre but some far away national park in he middle of nowhere. The bike was rusty and felt dangerous and the guide was honestly not very good. He was not listening to what we wanted to do, didn’t speak English or even Spanish it seemed so we unfortunately had to ignore him and try to do our own thing. I would not recommend at all to anyone.

We all had an amazing time, it was raining, but Smaik and John( dont think that was his rreal name lol ) made it fun, would definitely recommend

Holy guacamole was that an experience. Until the day I die I will not forget this. It was truly incredible and I had the best time. A huge shout-out to Smaik for his excellent work - he was an amazing person inside and out and I wish him all the best in the future. It was amazing to see the sights of Barcelona and take in the local atmosphere. Also, there are no implications just to be clear, you can say no but you won't, because of the implication.

Highly recommended activity if you want to have fun with your friends. They pick you up at a meeting point and take you to the bikes to explore Barcelona. The drinks were quite cold and the staff was friendly. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended for the price.

Cannot stress enough how much of a SCAM this company is. Picked us from Las Ramblas and driven around 25 minutes out of the city to a dirt track underneath an overpass. Most of the chains on the bike did not work, making it almost impossible to pedal. The ‘bottomless’ open bar consisted of a black bin filled with ice, cans of beer and the cheapest Sangria you could find. Do not book under any circumstances.

We joined the BiciLoca tour during our weekend in Barcelona, and it was one of the best moments of the trip! The atmosphere was fantastic — great music, lots of laughs, and delicious beer to enjoy while cycling through the city streets. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even more enjoyable and carefree. Perfect for groups of friends or anyone celebrating a special occasion. Highly recommended if you want to do something different and experience Barcelona in a fun and original way!

NOT DO THIS!! First of all, they were over an hour late picking us up and then dared not to wait when we made them wait a couple mins longer!! This is not in Barcelona! You get picked up in a dodgy mini bus on Las Ramblas, and bussed out to a horrible dirt track in the middle of nowhere, under and underpass, you then cycle for 30 mins up the very uneven dirt track, turn the bike round, and cycle back. Some of the pedals did not work. At times you felt the bike might even have tipped over, no health and safety!! To drink, theres cans of estrella and bottles of dodgy sangria. The experience was so bad, the only reason we enjoyed it was because who we were with. I can't believe this is allowed to happen in such a beautiful place like Barcelona. Felt like a total rip-off scam!!

The earlier photos are misleading - probably from another operator. You don’t go through the city but instead jump in some dodgy vans and are driven out to a dirt path in the middle of nowhere. The later pictures are more accurate of what you will see. And that is all you will see. Our group did just get drunk and have fun but it’s a very misleading experience and likely unlicensed operator.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We booked a sangria bike tour in Barcelona as part of a hen party, and it was, hands down, the worst experience ever. First, we were left standing in the pouring rain for an hour because they were late. When they finally arrived, we were driven to the middle of nowhere, and for a moment, we genuinely thought we were being trafficked. It only got worse from there. Parts of the bike were completely broken—no chain, pedals not working—and totally useless. We got stuck in a ditch, and the poor guy with us had to physically push us out. We managed to cycle maybe ten meters before getting stuck in the mud again, at which point we had to just sit there, freezing, for another hour bevause we were told it was too dangerous to continue. The "unlimited sangria" turned out to be cheap bottles worth about €1.50 each, despite us paying a ridiculous £50 per person. A total rip-off, an absolute joke of a tour, and a complete waste of money. Save yourself the hassle and book literally anything else! Luckily we had each other and tried to make light out of a dark situation. We've since requested a refund and they've refused, telling us we still had the tour.

We had a blast riding through Barcelona with Marc! From the historic Cathedral to the beautiful coastal views at Barceloneta Beach, the route was perfect. It was a fun, active, and informative way to experience the city

This experience was simply herendous! We arrived 3 mins late due to traffic in Barcelona and the driver refused to take us on the experience. It was disgusting. He was rude, horrible and unhelpful he even swore at us as a group of young girls many times. He had already made his mind up He was not going to take us the trip probably didn't even exist! Just an excuse they used to blame us on being 3 mins late. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!

Let me just preface this review by saying, had I known I'd be writing my own rendition of a low-budget Spanish "Mad Max" sequel, I would have charged admission. Gather round, readers, and prepare for a tale of wheeled woes and warm brews. Upon reaching the meeting point, we found ourselves marooned in Barcelona for a whopping hour, devoid of beer bikes, let alone an ounce of fun. Our anticipation gradually fizzled into annoyance as we envisioned our frothy adventures taking place within the iconic cityscape. Instead, our caravan to disillusionment arrived in the form of a minibus that had clearly done its time on the road, bearing more resemblance to an artifact from a post-apocalyptic movie than a reliable mode of transport. Our 'scenic route' consisted of a 30-minute joyless journey through the outskirts of the city. We ended up in a place so arid, even tumbleweeds refused to make an appearance. We were dumped alongside a river that seemed to have taken an extended vacation, leaving behind a barren riverbed. Here, our steed awaited – the beer bike. Yet this was not the gallant charger depicted in their glossy promotional images. It was a contraption that looked like it would require a tetanus shot pre-ride. Our supposed ‘tour’ consisted of moving up and down a stunningly dull 300-yard stretch of riverbed. Forget pedaling through the streets of Barcelona, we were competing for space with errant lizards and tumbleweeds! Now, onto the beer. Ah, the promise of chilled beer served on a silver platter (or a bike in our case)! Our dreams were instead unceremoniously crushed by warm, presumably discount, beer cans and bottles of what they dared to call ‘sangria.’ Served from a dustbin no less! A dustbin! It’s like they were hell-bent on infusing every possible nuance of the word ‘rubbish’ into our experience. To add to our growing list of woes, our driver, who seemed to have confused his role with that of a participant, was getting steadily inebriated on our discount sangria. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we were subjected to a dizzying repetitive route, helmed by a driver who was swaying more than steering! The ‘highlight’ of our trip came when we, out of sheer desperation for entertainment, resorted to a thrilling game of “throw stones at a metal post.” Not only did it provide a welcome distraction from the monotonous pedaling, it also helped us vent our frustration with each satisfying ‘thunk.’ In conclusion, unless your idea of a good time involves warm beer, desert-like landscapes, inebriated drivers, and dusty riverbeds, I'd recommend steering clear of this catastrophe on wheels. It was more of a Tour de Farce than a tour de force. Avoid at all costs. This scam made me yearn for the mundane tranquillity of watching paint dry. At least then, the disappointment would be less bubbly!

A very fun and memorable experience. I would definitely recommend. Javi made it so much fun with regular games etc.

Anís was a great driver and 'guide'. Super accommodating and had a lot of fun with us. Speakers are provided to play your own music. One small suggestion to improve would be to add drinks holders and maybe somewhere to keep phones and wallets.

We spend a Magic Time with polo on the sangria bike ! This IS the most fun activity that WE have ever done There IS a lot to drink ( sangria beer water or soft ) You Can play the music you want with your phone and the sound IS great! Its a party on a bike Big thank you to polo and anis from the french girls !

We were so worried about this tour after reading reviews. We didn’t have the best start as our time slot got delayed 90 minutes when we arrived for pick up however we were on a hen do so we just went to a bar close by and had drinks. We were picked up (9 people) in 2 minibuses and taken around 30mins outside of Barcelona. As other reviews have said the ‘national park’ isn’t the best sight but at the end of the day we werent really going for the views. The bike was one of the funniest things we done, we had such a good time and would definitely do it again if we were to go back in another group. It’s hard to pedal but that just made it funnier and along with drinks (which you never get through so get your moneys worth and take them back with you for journey home) you’ll just be laughing.

Premise: the activity does not take place in the city center but you are travelled outside the city with a very professional van service. Having saying that, the activity is way more than funny especially if you are celebrating a cabron friend who is going to get married. I’ve never drunk so quickly such amount of sangria and beer of the highest quality. The tour is well animated by cool drinking games by the driver who offers also a good photographic service of the experience with his mobile (in order that clients’ hands can be focused only in refilling empty glasses).

In a nutshell this experience was not as advertised so book at your peril. It was so so bad that it was actually funny and we ended up having a laugh. Full details below ... CONS - the experience is advertised as a scenic trip down the river Besos when in reality you are taken to a dirt track next to an underpass. Entrance to the site is akin to something out of a horror film, so much that the host already has a kidnap joke prepared. - you are then plonked on a bike which has clearly seen better days. The chains were hanging off and seats drier than the ‘River Besos’ itself - once on the bike you think for a moment that at least the route will be downhill. It’s not. The bike is very tough to pedal and the experience exhausting. We were a group of 6 healthy guys and struggled, stopping every few minutes (if that). Even a tank would struggle with this terrain, let alone a bike that sounds like it will fall apart any second - you pedal 100m or so before you encounter a warning side that translates to ‘Vaccine Genocide’. There is a man outside a caravan revving a chainsaw (this is not a joke). The host decides this is a good spot to get out and play a drinking game (Spoiler Alert: the game is hold hands in teams and drink beers from the floor) - at the sign you then turn back but you don’t pedal. You have to stay off the bike and help the hosts push it round in a U turn. - You think to yourself that the way back will at least be a little smoother. It’s not, it’s even worse. So much worse that in fact the bike essentially gets stuck due to ‘stiff brakes’. At this point your host will run to his car and comically attempt to reverse all the way to the bike, snaking a trailer across the rough terrain. - you will then be towed back to your starting spot which is actually quite nice because your legs are so screwed from attempting to pedal a broken bike in the beating sun - once home you think that’s it but you’re in for a final surprise. A herd of sheep (see picture) will descend on the tracks, their bells will clunk, dogs will bark. The whole thing is chaos. In the midst of it all the host will try and get the bike fully on its trailer. A shepherd with no teeth will appear behind his flock. He will then help your host get it on in exchange for a beer. - the end PROS - Javi and Andrea our hosts were genuinely lovely. They also went out of the way to drop us at the Nou Camp in time for the football and gave us some takeaway beers. We do not blame them in anyway as we understand they are not the owners of this fake business - the whole experience was like being in a comedy sketch with all your friends which is quite funny

This experience is jokes, from start to finish we didn’t stop laughing! Very good host! Thank you Javi! He kept us entertained with music and games. Please be aware it is not on the beach but that didn’t change the experience!

We had such a good time. Margot was amazing! They were very organized, we received email telling us of the route and we were allowed to cancel two weeks prior to the booking. We had prosseco, played games and had such a laugh. Gracias Margot!!!!! The route wasn't too easy but it made it more fun! Would definitely book again! X

This tour is a criminal activity. 1) Despite the photos, you will not be in the centre of Barcelona because they are not licenced. You will be taken to a dirt track under an underpass. 2) We were asked for 10€ each for unlimited drink. They supplied 2 cases of Estrella Damn (max 48€ in total). 3) The 'beer bike' broke down and we ended up having to push it back as the operators don't know how to put a chain on properly. 4) They purposely double book people in order to ask for more money. 5) They ignore

Great fun, would definitely recommend. Plus points: Enthusiastic hosts (Javi and Ana) Able to play our own music Fun drinking games And a hell of a workout! It’s out of town on a dirt track but that just added to the fun and uniqueness of it!

I strongly advise against this activity which has left us completely disappointed with our day dilapidated place the bike punctured no communication possible with the driver if you want to lose money and tromatize your group I highly recommend you misleading photo on the site Horrible

Hello, I would like to report a very serious problem with the Beerbike activity we have booked. The bike was in a deplorable state: the wheels were completely flat, making the bike almost impossible to use. We were only able to advance about 20 meters before we had to stop permanently. The drinks were stored in a dirty and unhygienic bin, which is totally unacceptable. Moreover, the driver was very unpleasant and unprofessional. We found ourselves stranded in the middle of a place that looked like a garbage dump, in a suburb far from Barcelona, with no possibility of continuing the activity. In view of these unacceptable conditions and the fact that the activity could not be carried out, we request a full refund

Biggest scam!! Don't book!! You get driven somewhere to nowhere and then let out under a bridge. There the broken bike is then climbed and it is driven off. Less beer than ordered... So we've been completely pulled! That's forbidden!!

We will hire this activity to celebrate the wedding of a friend, we made the best possible choice the best activity of Barcelona, very fun very cold beer and the staff that works there is very cool! We'll be back thanks

Don't be, dishonest team, thieves. We arrived on time at the meeting point in the middle of Barcelona, pay in advance, they did not come saying they did not find us instead of meeting 10 minutes later. They didn't pay us back, and we even learned that at the base he had to pick us up by truck to take us out of Barcelona instead of doing the city tours.

Con artists! Never book this service. Bad meeting point, 2 minutes late and refuse the service as a result. Comes in a dodgy van. Aggressive and lying (say they called us). Business to close quickly is a scam!!!

Amazing walk along the coast of Barcelona aboard a very fun boat, David the captain gave us a great time, the meeting point was very easy to find, we could drink and pedal, and we took the opportunity to bathe, I will repeat it without a doubt! Gracias, David

The activity itself was great we had a great bachelor party, we were able to put our music on the speaker. However, the announcement does not match what is marked. It’s not a visit to the streets of Barcelona at all but we were taken to a vague place, which was a shame

I put a star because I could not put less to flee really the activity is 30 min from Barcelona in an isolated field between the train track and the highway a lost return in the mud with beers and hot sangria really to flee and avoid POOR I cannot conceive of positive reviews

This activity is a tourist trap and scam! The cycling does NOT happen in Barcelona, you will be driven in a dirty car 20 minutes outside of Barcelona (towards the airport). Under a bridge by the motorway, there is a small road full of holes and dust - this is where cycling takes place. There is nothing to look at except a highway and dust. That we paid so much for this activity is a scam - stay away!
