Stephanie was terrific. The museum is extremely interesting, with a focus on a combination of early Picasso and his study of Velazquez’s La Meninas. Walking through the Gothic quarter was really interesting and the tapas was great.

Our tour guide, Montserrat, gave our group a true five-star experience. She was fun, kind, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She did a wonderful job keeping our group of 15 friends interested and excited to learn more throughout the tour. The restaurants and shops she took us to were fantastic. A special highlight was visiting the family-owned restaurant El Xampanyet, the food and cava were absolutely out of this world. We had a wonderful tour with Montes today of the historical buildings and areas of the city Gotic, El Boro, as well as many others! We enjoyed many different tapas featuring Catalan specialties and those from the Basque area. Our time in the Picasso museum was thoughtful and we saw the art with a new viewpoint after discussing Picasso and cultural history and Art with Montes. We were late due to road construction but we kept in contact and Stephanie waited for us patiently and with understanding. She tailored our tour as we had seen some features the day before. She was very personable, spoke clear English and was very keen to please us. Great knowledge of the history & architecture of Barcelona and delivered it in an interesting way.

Montse was very informative. It’s clear she knew a lot about the city and was very passionate about it. I could tell she loved sharing the information. She took us around the city, educating us about its history, pointing out specific architecture, and explaining the culture. She took us to the Picasso museum which was a very interesting experience, as well as taking us to a local restaurant with some of the best food I’ve ever had. She was very kind and helped us when Spanish needed to be spoken. Overall, the tour with her was a great experience.

The Picasso museum is a highlight of the trip, showcasing his evolution & various art mediums. Montse gave us an informative and educational tour which included tapas for lunch and the Picasso Museum. Her love of the city and culture of Barcelona was apparent and that enthusiasm transferred to us as well. Montse gave us current views and a wealth of historical background that enhanced our view of Barcelona. A wonderful day!

Montse was amazing. We had no trouble finding her at our meeting place. She was delightful. She walked us through many historical areas and her narration was great. She also took us to the oldest chocolate store in the city, which was a treat in itself. The Picasso Museum was amazing. Picasso determined which paintings and drawings would be displayed, starting with one of his first portraits he entered into an art contest at the age of 14. Lunch was probably our favorite activity of the day. She took us to a city market - fresh fish, meats, sea salts, etc. and the tapas restaurant was within the market. It was fun to sit among the locals and dine, and it was so good! Montse took us to different booths and made it possible for us to sample some of the wonderful offerings We ended our day with cold drinks and a fond farewell. Thank you, Montse!

Had a great time with Daniel. Ate lots of great tapas and drinks and learned a lot of history about the old town and how different parts of Spain has different cultures/traditions. Was really interesting. My son was feeling a bit sick and that slowed us down and he was very patient.
