Sometimes these tours can get stuffy but Ale was upbeat, timely and very thorough about details. Thank you so much for making my friends 35th birthday in Barcelona one to remember!! He even gave her a birthday cake with candles at the wine meetup. Extremely sweet and thoughtful. Thank you again!

Amazing tour. For those who grew up in the mountains, Monserrat was a bit underwhelming but still pretty. Our tour guide, Thaís was incredible, so funny, and kept us entertained throughout though. She was very knowledgeable about wine, it was very impressive. The winery was gorgeous with Monserrat in the background, and you get nice pours. Overall 10/10

MARCALR tour guide was great. All the accommodations were top-notch. The tapas was just acceptable, but the wine was good.

The tour is well organized and the staff are well informed and professional. There is good variety in the tour. Our guide Xavi was very funny and helpful.

Our guide was excellent, knowledgeable, and made the entire visit even more special. The winery was beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this experience when visiting Spain.

We had a fabulous day wifh Mayi on a tour to Monserret and lunch a d wine tasting at a family winery! .Mayi had amazing energy, knowledge and great humor! This was a highlight of Barcelona!

Our morning guide, Xavi (“Rubi”) was clear, entertaining and energetic, made an effort to learn all our names, and went above and beyond by giving us some advice about what to do with our remaining time in Barcelona. The 8:30 a.m. departure time gave us a little over 2.5 hours of free time in Montserrat, which was perfect. We went up the funicular, walked around, then did some shopping and tasting. The timing didn’t work out to see the boys choir because they perform at 1:00 and our meeting time at the bus parking lot was 1:35. Our afternoon guide for the lunch and wine tasting was Tais, and we loved her energy and attitude about wine. She made everyone feel at ease, whether a wine expert or total novice to wine tasting. We appreciated her clear instructions about what was going to happen next and when at each step of the way. Lunch at the winery was a hot vegetable soup, (though I heard they serve gazpacho in warmer weather) bread with olive oil, some very tender chicken with asparagus and mashed potatoes, and a custard cake, They made modifications for vegetarians and vegans in our group. Lunch came with two glasses of wine, and we had the choice of a red Grenache or a white Grenache. We also signed up for the “VIP” option, which meant we got to go down to the cellar learn a bit more about the winery and their process and try a few wines in various stages from the barrels. The only two very small negatives to this tour were (1) that we had a little trouble finding the place where we were supposed to check in after we got to the bus station )more explicit directions would be appreciated) and that the process of switching groups and buses in the afternoon was a little weird. They ended up splitting our wine tasting group between two buses, and we were the last to board a bus full of teenagers, who, being self absorbed teenagers; were all sitting in rows by themselves, making it difficult for couples boarding to find places to sit together. They were loudly scrolling TikTok, singing, and reclining their seats on what already felt similarly tight to a basic economy airline cabin and challenging for my 6’1” husband, and there seemed to be no adult to make them aware that they were sharing the bus with others and behave appropriately. I don’t hate teenagers, and these ones were definitely better behaved than American high schoolers, but it was weird being the GenX minority at the back of what felt like high school field trip bus. I was praying we wouldn’t be eating lunch and tasting wine with these kids. Thankfully that bus ride only lasted 30 minutes, then we got off and they continued on back to Barcelona, I don’t really understand why the tour company can’t just keep people who bought the same package on a bus together rather than doing this complicated re-swizzling in the afternoon. Good tour though, especially the guides, and I’d highly recommend it to others. 5 stars!

Kyra is an expert. Provided architectural/art historian information and a wine tasting prompts like a pro. She is fun and helped spark conversation throughout the entire tour. I am very appreciative of her attentiveness and knowledge.

Kyra and Alberto were excellent guides. They paced the day well, and accommodated travellers with mobility concerns without making a big deal of anything. Excellent knowledge and information provided thru the day. They were super excited to share details and answer questions. They made us feel like familia.

This was a great way to experience Montserrat. Anays was a great guide. She was knowledgeable about everything from Barcelona to Montserrat. We arrived in time to go to mass and hear the Montserrat Boys Choir and to see the Black Madonna. Carla was exceptional on the second half of our tour with lunch and wine tasting. The food and wine were delicious. She shared many stories and information. ( for example, don’t bring chips on a picnic date when the wild boars are around 😉)

Our Full-Day Montserrat and Wine Small Group Tour was a terrific day. Guillem was our guide for the tour of Montserrat. He was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and professional. The history of Montserrat, the Basilica, the short hike to the cross, the museum , and all the scenery was beautiful. We then met up with Carla who took us for the last half of the tour at the fantastic Oller del Mas winery. Carla was absolutely fantastic. She was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable about wines in general and the specific wines we enjoyed that day, and kept everything on schedule. We enjoyed a delicious three course lunch with wine, followed by the formal wine tasting where Carla introduced us to 3 delicious wines, 1 white and 2 reds. We finished the afternoon with a trip to the wine bar. All in all a great day. I highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic full day experience - our tour guide, Thais was brilliant - cheerful, knowledgeable and great fun. Montserrat is really worth a trip! Cheese tasting at the top of a mountain, amazing wine, incredible views - what more could you want.

We had a perfect day in Monserrat! This is the best tour company. Our guides were yaraid and lesley and they were very informative funny and nice!!!! It was a full day tour but it went by so fast because it was so fun. Perfectttt day!

The tour was a great way to see Montserrat and some of the countryside around Barcelona. We had 3 generations in our group aged 4 to 66. The pace was perfect for all of us. Our guide Carla did a great job explaining the sites and history of Montserrat along with wines and winemaking process at the vineyard. I would highly recommend Carla for your visit. The wines were interesting. They use a natural fermentation process so each tasting was very unique. I really enjoyed the wines and the abbey. The visit made everything very convenient.

Incredible experiences that I’ll never forget!

Montserrat is an extraordinary place to visit with spectacular geology and a beautiful Basilica. The lunch and wine tasting at an 1000+ year old winery were both fantastic. Our guide Vince was so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the tour. He shared his knowledge of the history of the area and the approach to making wines in the area with both wit and passion. One of the best tours I have ever taken!

Experience was very smooth and logistically everything worked out really well. The Mo and Terry was very beautiful and the time we spent there I thought it was well worth the money as well as the lunch was very good and the wine tasting was very knowledgeable. Because of the open air and the amount of people, it was very noisy and very hard to hear my guide, even if I was very, very close to them. I think headsets or earphones would help out with hearing the information that’s provided.
