Leonardo was an excellent guide. He provided historical context to the sites we visited that was much better than other tours I attended. I would highly recommend this tour. I learned several new techniques to improve the use of the camera on my phone to quality photography.

Itinerary
stación de Francia (France Station) in Barcelona is one of the city's major train stations, located in the El Born district, near the harbor. It is well known for its elegant architecture and historical significance, as it was inaugurated in 1929 to accommodate railway traffic during the International Exposition of Barcelona.
Parc de la Ciutadella is one of Barcelona's most iconic parks, located in the El Born district, not far from the Estación de Francia. It’s a lush, green oasis in the heart of the city and a favorite spot for both locals and tourists. The park was designed for the 1859 Barcelona Universal Exposition.
The Arc de Triomf is another iconic landmark in Barcelona, located just a short walk from Parc de la Ciutadella. This triumphal arch, built in 1888 for the Universal Exposition, is a beautiful and striking example of Neo-Mudéjar architecture.
The Palau de la Música Catalana is one of Barcelona’s most stunning architectural gems and a must-visit for anyone interested in culture, music, or history. Located at Carrer Palau de la Música, 4-6 in the El Born district, it’s an iconic Modernist building designed by architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, one of the key figures in the Catalan Modernisme movement.
"El Mon Neix En Cada Besada" is a fascinating cultural space in Plaça de Isidre Nonell, located in the El Raval district of Barcelona. This phrase translates to "The World Begins in Every Kiss," which hints at a profound and poetic experience.
The Barcelona Cathedral, officially known as Catedral de la Santa Creu i Santa Eulàlia, is one of the most significant landmarks in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. Located in Pla de la Seu, right in the heart of the Barri Gòtic (Gothic Quarter), this cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture and a must-see for anyone visiting the city.
Casa de l'Ardiaca is a fascinating and historic building located at Carrer de Santa Llúcia, 1, right in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. The name "Ardiaca" refers to the position of the archdeacon (the head of the canons in the medieval cathedral), and this building has deep historical significance. It is known for both its architectural beauty and its connection to Barcelona's religious and civic history.
The Pont del Bisbe (Bishop’s Bridge) is one of the most famous and picturesque landmarks in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Located on Carrer del Bisbe, it connects two buildings of the Palau de la Generalitat, the government palace of Catalonia, and is a stunning example of Gothic Revival architecture.
Plaça de Sant Jaume is one of the most historic and central squares in Barcelona, located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. It has played an important role in the city’s history for centuries and continues to be a focal point for both locals and tourists.
Plaça Sant Miquel is a small but historically significant square in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. While it may not be as famous as some of the other squares in the area, it’s a charming, tranquil spot that offers a peek into the city’s medieval past and local life.
Plaça Reial is one of Barcelona's most iconic and vibrant squares, located just off La Rambla in the Barri Gòtic (Gothic Quarter). It's a must-see for anyone visiting the city, known for its elegant architecture, lively atmosphere, and historical significance.

We had the most beautiful couple photoshoot with Charlotte in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. From the very beginning, she made us feel relaxed and comfortable, which made the entire experience so natural and enjoyable. The setting in the Gothic Quarter was absolutely magical — the historic streets, charming alleys, and soft light created the perfect romantic atmosphere. Charlotte knew exactly how to use the architecture and hidden corners to capture timeless and artistic images. What we loved most was how effortless everything felt. She guided us gently while still allowing space for genuine moments between us. The photos truly reflect our connection and the special atmosphere of Barcelona. We couldn’t be happier with the results and will treasure these memories forever. We highly recommend Charlotte to any couple looking for authentic and romantic photos in Barcelona.
I’ve been to El Born many times, but this photo tour revealed so many hidden corners I’d never seen before. It’s not overwhelming with history — the focus is on photography (which is my passion) — but along the way, I still learned fascinating things about the area. We visited beautiful, off-the-beaten-path spots like the old post office, far from the usual tourist trail. It felt like exploring with good friends who happen to be incredible photographers and know Barcelona inside out. A wonderful experience I’d recommend to anyone who loves photography and wants to see a different side of Barcelona.
Highly recommend Take a Photo Walk as a guided walking tour!! I did one with Charlotte (co-founder) for the Gothic Quarter area while in Barcelona for work. Charlotte was knowledgeable about photography and the Barcelona area and history, she was pleasant to walk with, and she was flexible based on what I was looking to achieve in the tour. I only had a few hours and a smartphone but it was so invigorating to talk with Charlotte about new ways of capturing a moment or framing a famous place in an interesting way! And even though I have been taking photos for years, she taught me tips for smartphone photography that I had no idea of, and that I've used multiple times since our photo walk. It's a great idea for a tour walk through Barcelona in a creative and new way.
Tour guide was a no show. Only learned about it 15 minutes after our scheduled tour time from the tour operator.
Leonardo crafted this photo walking tour based on his passion for Barcelona history and his creative eye for intriguing photo angles that make your pictures pop. Although I was the lone walker on this extremely sizzling July morning (go figure), Leonardo made every stop interesting with stories, details and historical context and showed me several clever photo tricks that set my pictures apart from regular tourist shots. I highly recommend him for the personal and professional touch he brings to the tour.
The photo walk was not touristy at all, but friendly and warm! We explored the 'real' city, where narrow alleys and ancient buildings co-exist with modern achitectural marvels. The hosts were very passionate and welcoming, which added an extra charm to the tour. Overall, I think we will come back for more!
Charlotte and Leo were the perfect hosts. It's the perfect blend of history, photography, and exploring the beautiful gothic side of Barcelona.
The photo walk completely changed how I see the city. Leo, our guide, not only knows the history, but also the lesser-known, real stories that make Barcelona so unique. He pointed out intricate details in buildings and streets, things I would have walked past without a second glance. Leo also helped us improve our photography skills, whether using a professional camera or just a phone. His tips on composition, lighting, and angles were incredibly useful! Leo has a very friendly and accommodating nature. He made sure everyone felt comfortable, whether they were beginners or experienced photographers. It wasn’t just a photo walk, it felt like exploring the city with a friend. If you’re in Barcelona and love photography (or just want to see the city from a fresh perspective), I highly recommend going with team!
It’s an amazing walk, very friendly, you have a little bit of everything. It’s a cool way to get fresh cool shots instead of typical tourist insta-photo while getting to know the heart of the city✨
It was just fantastic. Such lovely people, with great experience and knowledge of photography. A young enthusiastic couple. We got so much from the experience. We would highly recommend. Thank you!
My guide was absolutely AMAZING! He took me into nooks and crannies around Barcelona that I would have never found on my own. He’s knowledgeable about the area and photography. He made my day trip to Barcelona worth it! I hope to work with him again, soon!
Leonardo made the tour fascinating. We’ve taken iPhone photo courses yet he taught us some new useful techniques. We wandered through the old Gothic Quarter & Leonardo showed us areas to capture unique photo framing opportunities. Along the way, he commented on many historical details of the city. We enjoy off the beaten path experiences & this did not disappoint.

Leonardo gave a great city tour with some local history. His tips and ideas for using angles and reflections to improve my photos were very helpful. It was interesting to see the city through the viewfinder.

We had a wonderful walk in the gothic quarter with Leonardo. Through the tour, we enjoyed the history and stories he shared with us. The photos he took of us were just beautiful and he will always be awesome memories for us. I would go on another tour with ‘Take a photo walk’ anytime. It’s really a private tour and very reasonable. Thank you Leonardo.
Amazing experience! Charlotte was an amazing host ! I was able to take nice photos and meet really cool people! 100% recommended
Charlotte and Leonardo are a lovely couple and take care of you during the whole walk. They assist you, they give you tips and tricks and they answer to your questions with a big smile. They bring you on nice spots in the city while giving you some history of the places and monuments. It’s a nice way of meeting likeminded people. Good job guys!
Amazing experience with the coolest hosts, Leo and Charlotte. They know the city very well and offer a unique look at some of the most picturesque areas you'll never forget thanks to images you will capture!
I just discovered new beautiful hidden streets. love to share ideas and concepts with other photographers in an expat environment
What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Leonardo was a fantastic host. I was so lucky to have one to one attention of Leonardo for this tour. I only had my mobile phone, he brought me to lovely locations I probably wouldn’t have found on my own. He helped me with composition and features on my phone which I had never used before. He went at my pace and we even stopped for tea. Would highly recommend this tour. Leaving Barcelona with lovely memories and some great photos too.
I had the chance to take a photo walk with them in Estación Franca & barrio gótico. Really cool vibes, very interesting conversation both during the walk and after having a beer. Would definitely recommend, good to see different places
Charlotte and Leo, for hosting the photowalk at Ciutadella Park! The event was a great opportunity to explore the park and capture its beauty and connect with other fellow passionate one. Your efforts in organizing and leading the walk made it a fantastic experience for everyone. Looking forward to more creative outings in the future!
this was one of the best experiences we had in Barcelona. The host are super knowledgeable, and they know the old city very well. They guide you to places you would miss on a stereotypical Barcelona tour. they are very friendly yet very professional and the best part is they let you take your time to photograph the things you like, and they don’t rush the tour. They also help you to see and compose the same things differently, so you can have unique angles of mundane things.
A beautiful experience recommended for professional and non-professional photographers. Leonardo and Charlotte immediately make you feel at ease by giving you valuable advice to improve your photographic technique in a dynamic and fun environment!
The locations and wide sweeping assistance in photography was amazing. Whether it’s a mobile or a DSLR camera the compositions were framed for me. I’d recommend this to any one who has a keen interest in photography and urban landscapes…
One of my favorite tour in Barcelona so far. There is no barrier between professional photographers vs. people like me who enjoy taking photos. We walk, we talk, we talking photos, we making friends. Charlotte and Leo have been the amazing organizer, I leant a lot of good tricks from them as well. Highly recommended.
If you are reading me to decide if you need to book this experience, please don't have any doubts about it. Charlotte and Leo are amazing guides. You are going to feel the city like a local while they show you amazing places.
Barcelona is a beautiful city, but there are so many places and things to do that trying to explore the city on my own was overwhelming, so I booked this experience to try it out and it was the best decision I have ever made. Charlotte and Leo are two professional street photographers and they created a community to explore cities around the world, the project is called "take a photo walk" and I loved the idea. They really knew how to navigate small alleys and secret streets that I would never have found in Barcelona, I felt like part of a movie set, walking around and suddenly coming across incredible buildings and hidden places was definitely impressive. My general opinion about Barcelona is now completely different and thanks to this experience I have learned to improve my photography skills during my holidays, even my friends were surprised and I have gotten more likes on my posts than ever!
Beautiful walk in Barcelona, Charlotte is a very friendly person. She showed us the best spots to make great photos.
During the photo walk through the Gothic Quarter you will not only get great (creative) photo tips (for both camera and iPhone) but also a piece of history about the district. The Guide is very professional but above all friendly and patient. Knows the district well and lets you get acquainted with a nice (er) part of Barcelona. Highly recommended and especially if you are only staying in Barcelona for a few days.
