Montserrat With Black Madonna & Medieval Winery With Tapas/lunch

Ivan was our designated guide and enhanced what was already a well designed excursion that I will remember as an experience of a lifetime!

Had a really good tour with Anays she was informative and brought a good energy. The meeting/drop off location was easy to get to and from. Montserrat was well worth the visit for the views alone, the history and the black Madonna were just a bonus. The Tapas & Wine tour was at a lovely winery full of family history. We would recommend this tour

Etienna was a great guide. He is v professional - he has good knowledge of the history, culture and stories related to the places we visited. Above all he was v caring n responsible - doing a roll call at the meeting place, making sure no one is left behind and ensuring my wheelchair-bound daughter is well taken care of. His always smiling face create v conducive atmosphere for the tour which was v well paced. A v excellent guide that made a lot of difference to the tour experience

I was misinformed about what my tour included. I was lead to believe I was to have 4 hours in Montserrat. I took a picture when we arrived at 11:08 and we departed at 13:49. That's just 2 hours and 40 minutes. No where near the 4 hours that was listed. Also, I was told the tour would be about 9 1/2 hours, it was only a bit more than 7. Also, in the itinerary description it lists a full meal with wine, we just got a sampler plate. I do not recommend taking this tour. I called support and they were absolutely no help.

Kyra was our guide and she did a wonderful job. Great history, easy to keep up with. A few more minutes at the winery to enjoy the scenic view would be nice but it was already a long day. Would recommend. It was nice to have all the details, tickets and transportation figured out for me. I needed that on this day.

Montserrat Mountain and Monastery is a spectacular destination and landscape to visit when based in Barcelona. The historic winery and lunch was also a nice treat and great opportunity to bond with fellow travelers. The CASTLEXPERIENCE team and our wonderful guide Alejandro elevated the experience and kept it fun and very informative.

It was an amazing experience from beginning to end! I actually managed to get lost right in the city center of Barcelona before the tour. I called the team, and the person who answered was incredibly helpful and patient, guiding me step by step until I found the correct meeting point. That was already a great start! The tour itself was wonderful. Montserrat was breathtaking, the winery visit was fantastic, and we got to taste some excellent wines made from native Spanish grape varieties. The lunch was also delicious and a real highlight of the day. Our guide, Kyra, was absolutely amazing. She was fun, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and had an answer to every question. Her personality and passion made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Everything was great, from the customer service before the tour to the places we visited, the food, the wine, and especially our guide. I couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Barcelona!

The whole experience was amazing. The mountains alone are worth a visit. Add to that the incredible architecture of the monastery and the beauty of the surrounding walks make the entire visit unique. The visit to the old family winery was a good add to the trip. The guides were great, combining detail information & entertainment. The coach splits into smaller groups for the basilica & wine tour. Our personal guide, Vince was passionate & energetic the entire tour. He gave detailed insight into the history of the monastery & its critical ties to the Catalan culture. He then thoroughly entertained us through the winery visit and tasting. He had an extensive knowledge of the wine growing & production process. He was one of those characters that was just great to be around.

The mountains of Montserrat are stunning! This tour was well-planned with a comfortable ride to and from the monastery and mountains. Our guide, Papa Bear, was excellent! He is personable, well-spoken, and easy to understand. Information and directions were very clear and much appreciated! He was so good, my husband and I would like to book other tours he’s guiding/leading! Great sense of humor and made the tour that much more enjoyable! This is a must do tour. The scenery will leave you awe struck!

This tour was absolutely awesome!!! Monserrat is a must. More beautiful than I ever imagined. Vince was incredible and made the trip very enjoyable. He was also extremely knowledgeable and very funny. I would give home a 5+++ stars. The icing on the cake was the lunch and tour of the winery. Definitely worth the trip.

Alaia was so amazing. She was very knowledgeable and entertaining. She made the experience great. She answered all of our group’s questions and she was a great way to learn about Montserrat and surrounding area.

Laid was our guide and she was absolutely lovely. There is a good mix of tpur and free time. Her explanations were thorough and interesting. The food and wines were excellent! Highly recommend

Excellent tour of Montserrat. Our guide Carla was knowledgeable, friendly and spoke perfect English. We then had a great lunch and wine tasting at the Oller de Mas winery. Would highly recommend this tour.

We spent the day in Montserrat and it was wonderful. Our tour guide Ale was great. He provided just enough information so we didn’t feel overloaded. He provided great recommendations for how to spend our free time. He was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and great to spend the day with. His knowledge of wine during our wine tour was fantastic. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to spend a day on Montserrat.

Nice experience with Alberto who was extremely helpful and informative throughout the tour. He was not only an entertaining and smart guide, he also did the wine walkthrough with us as well! We started around 930a and ended around 715p. Full day and Alberto was quite supportive of our entire group of 15. This included the tour of Monserrat and then the winery afterwards.

We enjoyed everything about our trip to Montserrat. Our tour guide Laia was personable, knowledgeable and funny as well. It was a 10/10. Highly recommended.

The tour hosts were great, very knowledgeable, and informative. However, we were disappointed with the limited time allocated to Montserrat. Our itinerary stated that we would have four hours of free time there, but in reality, it was closer to two hours. This did not allow us enough time to properly explore the monastery, see the Black Madonna, and enjoy everything Montserrat has to offer. We were then hurried along to the winery, which appeared to have an association with the tour operator. After the wine tasting, our guide was operating the cash register for wine sales, and there seemed to be plenty of time for guests to purchase wine and drinks. In our opinion, some of this time would have been much better spent at Montserrat, particularly given the discrepancy between the advertised itinerary and the actual time available. While the guides themselves were excellent, the overall balance of the tour was disappointing. Based on our experience, it felt more like a wine tour with a brief stop at Montserrat than a Montserrat and Black Madonna tour with a winery visit. We would have preferred the itinerary to reflect the actual timings or, ideally, to provide the four hours at Montserrat as advertised.

A great day touring Montserrat, seeing the Black Madonna, and a cool winery experience. Our guide Etienne was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. We learned so much about Spanish history and culture during this tour. The weather was also perfect which made for great views of Barcelona and the Pyrenees Mountains in the distance.

We originally booked the tour for the previous day but with time change, we slept very late and missed it. Trip advisor was callled and they quickly arranged for us to tour the next day. It was well worth it and we truly appreciated the effort to accommodate us. Luca was funny , informative and everything was as on time. Loved the beautiful day and amazing views

Great tour. Carla and her team were amazing. Had a great time at Montserrat. The weather was cloudy going but upon arrival cleared up with breathtaking views. This was a fantastic. . I would go on any tour with Vince; it’s guaranteed to be equal parts fun, high-quality, and unique. The agenda was well-organized and with enough time alloted for each part of the trip. Vince was wonderful and helped make it a perfect day. He was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Catalan region, history, wine and food. His desire to share with others his home and its charm was throughly engaging and made it so that you don’t really want the day to end. He helped with wine selections and even made recommendations for his favorite restaurants and sites around Barcelona. Highly recommended all around.
