We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring Montserrat. I only wish we had had more time to walk some of the trails. Our guide, Angels, was excellent. She was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She met us at our hotel and walked us back to our hotel after the tour to make sure we did not lose our way. I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was wonderful! Communication with this company was great and payment made easy. Angela was an amazing tour guide and the driver as well. Everything was done in a timely manner. The tour was geared to our interests and our pace. We are so glad we did this! Do not miss out on this experience. And if you're able to, choose to go up on the cable car.
Everything was planned smoothly, the guide Angela was amazing. She is very experienced and her energy was incredible. The driver was very professional. The places we visited meant a lot to the team who was participating Thanks to all Travel and Tour team for making this experience unforgettable for my team.
Great professional service, beautiful place to visit for a short day trip. Tour travel and More is always a great option for private tours in Spain
My wife and I have been to Montserrat before but a new experience for my children and grandchildren. This was the best tour we have had. The driver and guide were excellent. When I come back, you will be the first call I make. We'll done.
We had an amazing trip to Montserrat from Barcelona. Our guide Julio was very informative and provided lots of information to us about the Monastery. Julio gave us the option of what we wanted to do at Montserrat, so we took the opportunity to go up in the funicular and see the beautiful sites from the highest point. We were picked up at the port on the day of disembarkation, our driver and guide were punctual and very friendly. We were very happy to have found this tour with Tour Travel and More, it was an amazing experience for the four of us.
The awesome natural setting alone was worth the trip, but the donated art collection is not to be missed. Our guide Angela’s, love of the history and culture of the area was contagious.
We had only a few days in Barcelona, but I was glad we took the time to spend half a day seeing this very unique monastery. The skip-the-line aspect of this tour is valuable. For example, a boys' choir sings at 1 pm (while school is in session) - if you are waiting in line outside you will miss it. At some of our Spain tour spots, the lines were not actually that bad and the "skip-the-line" feature was not really necessary - that is the luck of the draw. But the lines were LONG at Montserrat, so if you can pay for that service you should. There is a museum with artwork collected by monks and donated by patrons, the Black Madonna, and the beautiful church. Is it somewhat like Mont St Michel, where it is a religious site but also filled with many tourists? Yes, but that does not take away from the beauty and unique character of the place. Possibly because they want to encourage visitors, they did not seem to be strict about the dress code (covered shoulders and knees); perhaps as tourism picks back up that will be enforced. Our guide (Angela) was knowledgeable and kind and gave us very interesting background and historical info that we would not otherwise have obtained.
Mari Carmen Rodriguez was our guide for the day along with our driver Juan! The day was PERFECT! Juan picked us up at our Hotel and brought us to the center of Barcelona to meet Mari! They both were fantastic! She had all the tickets previously purchased and we were able to do so much during out time together. We did not wait in any lines to see the “Black Madonna” and we were able to hear the angelic voices of the Boys choir on Monserrat. It was so emotional and moving. The day could not have been any better. Mari was such a joy and education us as to what we were seeing. We were able to do some shopping and I had asked Mari if she could assist me with purchasing a gold medal of the “Black Madonna”. She did happily! If we ever come back to Barcelona (and I am sure we will),we are going to reach out to Mari to be our guide! Thank you, Mari…..it was so wonderful to meet you!
A different experience for those visiting Barcelona. Set in a very unique natural environment, this place has had a deep impact in the history and culture of Catalonia. There are different ways to get to Montserrat , but this tour is by far the most confortable, fast and best prepared to get the most out of the experience.
I had the most memorable experience seeing Montserrat. My tour guide, Angels was knowledgeable, so warm, and so professional. I highly recommend Angels !
Our guide was wonderful, friendly and very knowledgeable. He was extremely considerate of our needs and accommodating. I would highly recommend this fantastic tour of a remarkable historic destination.
Angela did an amazing job carterring to our family of five (parents and three 20-somethings). She was uber informative and enthusiastic for five hours!! I noticed that she connected in conversation with each one of us at one point or another. My kids ask many questions from Montserrat to current events. Her answers were thorough and empathic. We really enjoed our morning and left feeling terrific about the tour.
We had a great guide and driver but had a very rainy and cold day. We didn’t get to do everything there but it’s an awesome place to see

The tour guide was not what I have come to expect from Viator.

The guide, Anthony, told us very little about the tour on the long drive to Monserrat. He did tell us that he had to be back on time for his next scheduled tour that afternoon. He was very clear about that and mentioned it numerous times during the day. It seemed to be of paramount concern to him.

The video explaining Monserrat was not working when we got there. Anthony did not offer to share what was on the video. He told us about the gift shop and the other attractions including the museum.

We told Anthony that we were most interested in the boys' choir presentation at 1:00 PM. He told us that it was usually a good idea to get into the church no later than 15 minutes prior to the presentation. He amended that projection several times during the day going with 45 minutes early at one point. We felt that he was trying to discourage us from going at all. He repeatedly told us that we had to get out of the church and back in the car no later than 1:30 because we had to be back to the hotel by 2:30 so he could get to his next tour.

His final recommendation was to go wait 15 minutes early. We decided to go and wait in the courtyard a little after noon (it was raining) and were glad that we did. The church was packed before 12:30. It was obvious to us that he made that last adjustment hoping that we would skip it or miss it so that he could get us back in the car on time.

During the museum tour, Anthony failed to tell us about the audio tour that was available. He said he would guide the tour of the museum. He took us to his personal favorites, bypassing all but one of the audio tour exhibits. He did little more than read the plaques by the paintings and offer his personal opinions. He argued with my daughter when she offered an opinion on a painting. He assumed that we were culturally ignorant. We were not. We are educated people and my daughter has an art history background. His cavalier attitude was insulting.

It was a terrible experience and we feel like Anthony did not properly represent Viator. It was also the birthday of one of our group members and Anthony did nothing, to say the least, to make her or any of us feel special the entire five hour tour.

We booked two previous tours with Viator that same week and they were so fabulous. The guides were knowledgeable beyond. It really made our trip, this is what Viator normally represents.

I am so embarrassed that I booked this tour, at a major financial cost to have this happen. A total waste.

Weather didn't cooperate, but site was still very interesting. Some of our couples aren't very mobile, so making long hikes up stairs and ramps was difficult for them. Cable car was fun way to access the site.

A car with a driver and guide picked us up at our hotel. Anthony was our guide and he took us through the museum and was very knowledgeable and interesting as he took us through the galleries and spoke about the art work. We walked about at our own pace visiting the cathedral, enjoying the scenery and taking pictures.

Angela Angels was an amazing tour guide, both on the drive from our hotel to the Montserrat. Incredible knowledge about Barcelona history and the Montserrat. I highly recommend this tour. George our driver was great also.

The tour was outstanding and special. Angela was very knowledgeable.

They set up the tour in less than 12 hours and adapted to my needs. Mountains, monastery and spirituality accompanied me at all times. Very emotional visit. My guide, Angels, is a woman with a lot of knowledge of the place (she seems to live there) and knows how to transmit it in a simple way: geology, history, Benedictine norms and even the day to day of the monastery. Despite having agreed 4 hours seeing that there were still things to visit my guide adapted to finish quietly. All safety standards recommended by the Ministry of Health regarding Covid-19 are respected. Fully recommended to visit Montserrat with Tour Travel & more.
