Montserrat & Winery Visit Tour With Traditional Farmhouse Lunch

Fabulous day out with Rebecca! We thoroughly enjoyed our day out. Sightseeing was stunning and her commentary was so informative. Winery was amazing.

This was the best full day tour of the Montserrat Monastery with lunch at a local restaurant followed by a wonderful experience at the Pares Balta winery. Our tour guide and driver, Stephen, was fun, knowledgeable and patient . We highly recommend using Explore Catalunya agency as they provided a tour which exceeded our expectations.

It was a great experience in the hand of Nuria our guide who did not hesitate in make our trip an interesting one.

Stephen was awesome and this tour was the perfect mix for us. Montserrat tour with the museum was a great cultural experience. Lunch at a local restaurant was delicious. The family owned winery was very hospitable and Bibi gave us a wonderful overview of their natural wine making process. 10 hours sounds long but it went quickly and was so fun! Highly recommend.

Our experience with Explore Catalunya was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The tour was well organized, comfortable, and full of incredible sights and local history. What truly made the experience unforgettable was our guide, Nuria. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Catalunya, and she brought every stop to life with fascinating stories and insights. Nuria made everyone feel welcome and ensured the group had a great time throughout the day. Her energy, professionalism, and attention to detail were exceptional. She went above and beyond to answer questions, give recommendations, and make the experience personal and engaging. She made our trip memorable and enjoyable in every way!

Rod was AMAZING! He was incredibly knowledgeable and kind! He cared about what we wanted to learn while on the tour. He was also very funny and personable.

We had a wonderful experience with Rod our tour guide and David our driver. The day was amazing filled with memorable moments. We visited Montserrat with breath taking views. Then we had lunch in a cozy little restaurant before heading to a wine tasting. Highly recommend this tour for first time visitors or if this is your second, third time like it was for us!

This was the last day of our trip in Spain. It was a long day, but worth it. I would recommend this excursion. The guide, food and sites were fantastic. I loved the local town we stopped in for lunch. It wasn’t a “sandwich and chips” lunch. It was a full 3 course sit down lunch with wine. The winery was very unique and the tasting was delicious.

Great tour, our driver David and tour guide Rod were both excellent. Could have spent all day in Monserrat, but then we’d have missed the cava tour!

Rod was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC as our tour guide. Seriously made an amazing tour even better. Montserrat was stunning and the cava tasting was the perfect end to the day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Rod was amazing! His personal tour of Monserrat, the farmhouse lunch, and Winery visit was very educational and provided an exceptional amount of historical knowledge and insight. His background as a former teacher was helpful in his storytelling of the history of Monserrat and Barcelona. My wife and I loved it and would definitely recommend the tour!

Every aspect from our amazing driver to the food and especially the Pares Balta winery was outstanding. The basilica ofMonserrat was amazing but the Museum has a collection to rival many US cities, Monet, Drgas,Picasso, Pissaro,.and Caravaggio !!!

We were actually re-booked to this tour from another one the day before and it turned out to be a lot of fun! Montserrat was a beauty and a true joy to hike, and the winery we went to was very educational and delicious! I do have to say, though, that our guide, Berta, was incredible! She was so kind, personable, knowledgeable, and funny! Our group of 6 had a great time and all got to know one another thanks to her. If she is your guide, you have lucked out! Thank you Berta!!

Visit to Monserrat was wonderful and great that we got there before it got too busy. The tour company arranged for entry to the basilica and then had free time on your own for about 2 hours. Then went to lunch at a local resteraunt that was ok. The guide was expecting there to be a pre selected 3 course meal that was not too expensive, but that was not the case. We were told to pick less expensive options off of the menu which was still good, but the options people ordered around us looked better. Then went to the winery which I wish I could rate higher than 10/10. The winery was beautiful and a true Spanish experience. I would recommend this tour for the transportation and free time at Monserrat and for the winery!

Had an amazing time on this tour with Nu. The restaurant we went to was beautiful. Sitting outdoors with a beautiful view and great food, doesn't get any better than that. However, it did. The winery that we went to next was incredible. So much wine to taste with a great pairing of cheese, meat, and breadsticks. Carlos who was at the winery was great as well. Definitely recommend this tour.

It was really amazing and so fun! The church we visited was so beautiful and the views were amazing! The lunch was so fresh and tasty and our tour guide was very friendly and nice! I don’t drink but I had so much fun at the vineyard. I got to try the grapes and go down into the cellar which was my favourite part. It was 100% worth it!

The tour guide, Litos was an excellent tour guide. I enjoyed how he spoke about the knowledge that surrounds Monserrat and the Winery. Not only that, he was passionate. I enjoyed the information about the black Modona and how each grape his hand picked.

After exploring, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a charming restaurant in Penedès, which felt authentically local and peaceful. The visit to Parés Baltà winery was a highlight. We loved learning about their biodynamic practices, and of course, the wines were incredible. What a great tour - a good mix of sights from serious spiritual to fun and spirited - and Rod was a great guide - and he chose the best winery to finish the day!

This day was one of the most memorable experiences from our trip to Barcelona. The tour guides (we got 2 on this trip) were laid back, friendly and knowledgeable. The process for booking and where to meet was easy and clear. This is so reasonably priced for an entire day of fun, sightseeing and delicious food. This is a must see / do activity.

Nu was a wonderful guide. Montserrat is something that must be seen to be believed. And the Winery tour was excellent. Nu is very passionate about this region, and she knows so much about the history.

Trip to Montserrot Winery was a great experience. Learned a lot about how wines are created. Marie and Carlos were knowledgeable and personable. Totally enjoyed the time with them.

MONTSERRAT-WINERY-FARMHOUSE LUNCH: Montserrat is absolutely beautiful. The roads leading to the are excellent and very well signposted. It was cold there, but the welcome was warm. The views over the mountains and valleys were stunning. Our time there was focused on the historical, spiritual and cultural interests we had. Lunch at the traditional farmhouse (Cal) Casseroles) was first rate. The staff made us very welcome and the food and wine were beautiful! The winery tour (Pares Balta Vineyard) was fascinating and very much worth visiting. Our host, Carlos, was very entertaining. We had a wonderful tour guide (Paolo from Explore Catalunya) and he made the day very personal. His knowledge is amazing. Every Q we had, he was able to answer. He was a great teacher for visitors and his love of this land and its peoples was evident throughout the day. It was clear he has a great relationship with the personnel at the various sites we visited. We really enjoyed our time with him. A beautiful region! Lovely people! A wonderful country!

We had a great time our tour guide was personable and down to earth. It was an early wake up and due to weather conditions we could not see the views from Monserrat. My favorite was the last part which was the wine tasting and lunch. Very authentic. We had a great time overall!! Highly recommend Rot our tour guide.

This Tour was great, plenty of time given at Monserrat, lunch was amazing more food given than you can eat. The winery was wonderful and informative. Nu was a great tour guide and knows her history of the area.

Most wonderful tour because of the tour guides: Nu as our main guide and William as our winery tour guide. One of the best tours! We had plenty of time at the monastery , lunch and vineyard!
