I attended this show with my elderly aunt and grandma. I chose this show primarily because it is a step-free venue. I’m glad we chose it! It’s right in Placa Reial and we had dinner next door after the show at Ocaña. The show was passionate and has a great singer and dancers. The dancers showed so much passion and talent. The venue wasn’t full and we were there on a Friday night. We sat near the bar, but I think any seat would be good! Great show. I recommend.

All the performers were exceptional, especially the lady dancer, the singer and the guitarist. We didn’t know what to expect as this dance originates in the south, we were pleasantly surprised and totally enjoyed the high energy performance!
This show was definitely the most engaging 45 minutes of my life. The show itself was magnificent and the place felt welcoming. The dancers and musicians showed their love for flamenco in their expressions. I would definitely come back for another show in the future, maybe with my friends.
If you want to experience true, authentic flamenco in Barcelona, Los Tarantos is an absolute must-visit! As the oldest tablao in the city (showcasing incredible artists since 1963), you can genuinely feel the history and passion the second you walk into the venue. The entire performance was amazingly done from start to finish. The raw energy of the Spanish guitar, the soulful depth of the live singin and the sheer intensity of the dancers’ footwork left the whole room completely spellbound. Watching some of the finest emerging flamenco talent in Spain perform with such precision, power, and emotion was unforgettable. With 35-minute shows running three times a night (6:30 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:30 pm), it’s the perfect length to immerse yourself in the culture without taking up your whole evening. An incredible, vibrant, and deeply moving show—5/5 stars!
The flamenco performance was beautiful and a wonderful experience, but the meeting point information was incorrect and led us around the block instead of directing us to the entrance inside the closed square.
It was a fantastic show, I was truly amazed! The dancers were incredible, worth every penny. It was also great to get 10% off with the promo code TARANTOSFLAME, which I discovered by chance online.
Of course we had to experience Flamenco while in Barcelona. Tarantos offered this with their 40min show. It was a delight to observe how much the ensemble enjoyed working together. The effort all performers put into their craft is impressive. Good job team!
Beautiful experience! Totally recommend it. We had a great time and the drinks were delicious. The dancers were great!!!
Would have been 5/5 at half the time and half the price. Just a bit repetitive after 20 minutes. Great way to pass some time with a quick drink but not remotely a must see and a bit pricey relative to the value if you are on a budget. Would be great as a street performance. As others mentioned, it did seem a bit improvised at times which was endearing but maybe a bit unprofessional.
Small and private venue, really connects you with the performers, awesome experience for all the family. The music and dance was top notch, a must!
The performance was captivating—raw, passionate, and beautifully executed. It offered a vivid snapshot of traditional flamenco that felt both personal and powerful. The only slight letdown was the sangria drink we chose with the show ticket which didn’t quite match the vibrancy of the show. Still, the overall experience was worth the 30 - 40 minutes of show.
My 3rd time here over the last 13 years and each time it was amazing! Very passionate and emotional flamenco.
Disappointed with tonight's show 15/07/25, started late and cast clock watched all through the show, stopped bang on the 40 Minute time. Very wung it show, they clearly didn't have a playlist organised. Drummer very good, Guitarist good, male tap dancer good the other 2 meh! The young girl that came on after the show has potential. Would I go again definitely not, would I recommend it, another no. Save your money for something else
Genuinely every one of the performers were excellent, the instrumentalists, the vocalist, and the dancers of course. The enjoyment and good vibes between the performers was clear and made our enjoyment of it even better knowing they liked performing together. We went for the drinks + tickets deal at the earliest sitting on a Saturday which worked out very well seeing as there was an entire schooolbus worth of teenagers who came in after us for the later sitting!
Very disappointing show. Venue was very dated and the show was not interesting either. Was very monotonous and not interesting
Excellent flamenco show V dramatic Great musicians Fantastic dancers Every having a great time performing music & dancing,
Very entertaining and well done. Performers and musicians were focused, but also enjoying themselves. Seats were plentiful at 5:30, though they are not very comfortable (but for 40 minutes, they are tolerable)
Great show, high energy and very impactful. Would definitely recommend 100 times over!! It’s 45 minutes of real emotional flamenco dancing with live music, a must see!!
I expected women in traditional ruffled dresses. There was one man (who was excellent!) and one woman who wasn’t nearing the end of her career. I also thought we might learn a little about the tradition.
Really enjoyed the show, my first time seeing a flamenco performance, was drawn into the whole experience.
Good, quite a small and intimate venue so no bad seats. Not very long but a really intense dance so definately felt like authentic experience
Great show!! Perfect intro to flamenco! Passionate - great singing, dancing and music. Highly recommended.
The show was nice, a bit of everything… music, singing, and a couple dancing. It was the perfect length for my 6 year old. Sitting is a bit crowded.
Good overview of the art of Flamingo dancing. It gave us a very interesting perspective of the dance. It would have been nice to have some background and know of the dance and what each dance was about.
This show was amazing a must see when in Barcelona. I loved that is was a small venue so you are up close to the stage. The music and dancing spectacular
Amazing, exciting, emotional. Wow! Not sure which performer we liked best. I could feel the passion the performers felt about their art. Top notch entertainment!
We really enjoyed the show. To me it told a story. The music was great as well as the dancing. If you have never been to a show it’s something you should do. Oh and the drinks were not weak.
Very talented group of musicians and dancers. So much passion! Absolutely amazing experience. Loved that we got some spanish culture 🇪🇸
Fun show and the dancers and singers were great just the right length of time Seats were a little uncomfortable
Too short, less than 40 minutes. The singer and dancer good, but the show itself too short. After they finished I almost couldnt finish my drink I was asked to leave the place. I dont recommend it
Too expensive for such a short experience, paying for a child the same as an adult wasn’t pleasant. Only the 1st lady really brought her energy to the show, if she was the whole show maybe it would have been a little more worth it
Very powerful and dramatic show. Thoroughly enjoyed it! The guitar player, singer and two dancers were all very talented.
I thought it lacked the professional appearance I was seeking. The dancers were a bit on the heavy side, they were able to perform the dance well but my expectations were high due to what I had seen on the internet before coming to Barcelona. I thought there would be more than one guitar player.
Wonderful! Bravo! Great show. Just the right length. Amazing guitar and vocalist...the whole package! Check out the bar next door for generous portions, excellent tapas!
Two dancers, extraordinary singer and the in the heart of the performance- the guitarist. It was a pleasure- the music, the art, the emotions. An intimately little hall, with a bar. So you could grab a beer or wine if you’d like, to accompany the beautiful dance.
You would normally associate flamenco dancing with female artists, but this venue also showcased a male flamenco artist. Cozy venue, grab your drinks prior to start of show.
Performers were very professional and talented. They seemed to be enjoying it as much as we did. Very nice show.
Really good experience. Place was easy to find, make sure you get there 20 minutes early as suggested so you get a good seat for the performance. There was a male and female dancer, both were absolutley fantastic. Singer and guitarist were also really good. You can tell they all love what they do, they were genuinely so happy and conveyed the emotions of the songs in thier dancing/singing. Highly recommend this experience for a little taste of Spanish culture.
Absolutely had low expectations of this as a super-touristy experience. I was so wrong. Expert classical Spanish guitar accompanied by beautiful vocals. That would have been worth the money alone. The dancers are so passionate in their art, the dance is so beautiful, it brought me to tears. Highly recommend!
Pick this one! Amazing- we loved it . Tons of restaurants around the theater . A Memorable evening .
Energetic performance and well worth the time & price of admission. Go see it, if it's the last thing you need to do in Barcelona.
Not what I expected. A guitar player, one singer, a male and female dancer was it. Lots of heart but not a lot to see as I it repeated itself.
Show was about 40 minutes. Really enjoyed it. Dancers were excellent and seemed to really enjoy what they do which in turn was great for the audience.
A great start to our evening here at the flamenco show in plaza reial . A good show. Talented performers. The enthusiasm and skill of the dancers put us in a great mood. We would definitely recommend it. It’s not the longest - but we felt it delivered . Enjoyed a drink in the square after - perfect .
We thoroughly enjoyed this show. All involved were fantastic & so passionate. Go with an open mind & you will enjoy.
The show was disappointing. It was only for 30 minutes. We had flamenco show experiences in Sevilla, Granda...which we couldn't forget since years. This one was weak and careless in dressing and decoration.
Excellent show. Vibrant fun music and dance. Highly recommend. Get there 15 minutes early for seating. Highly recommend the bar for drinks and a show.
Somewhat dissapointed overall 😒 by the 18h30 show tonight on the 8th of Feb 2024. Yes, the guitarist was accomplished, the singer enjoyable, the experienced female dancer technically proficient and full of energy, and the male dancer not without intermediate-level footwork skill. Nevertheless, the show lacked overall in entertainment value, variety, and direction. With only four performers on stage and zero costume or lighting changes it was up to the female dancer to carry 80% of the entertainment burden for most of the 40-minute-long show. Not even famous pop stars or headline acts can do that without zero supportong cast, back-up dancers, and/or costume or lighting changes. It's just an unreasonable expectation. When catching a flamenco show in Barcelona, albeit in n an intimate venue with only four performers, I expect to be blown-away by the experience.
Was a good performance in a small theatre, and much better priced than some of the other options online. We got what we paid for and were very happy to tick it off the bucket list, 40mins was the perfect amount of time for us. If you wanted an in-depth look this might not be the show for you, but if you just want a taste I'm happy to recommend. A few reviews mentioned them pushing heavily for tips, they did ask, but definitely were not too pushy for them. Also, I would greatly advise arriving the 20mins early as the tickets recommend so you can get the best seats.
Intimate and dazzling, well worth the money. And dinner first (or after) at Plaza Real, just a few steps away, made a perfect evening
