This is such a beautiful and fascinating building. It’s a simple self-guided tour. The view from the roof is lovely.

Itinerary
Designed between 1906 and 1912, UNESCO-listed La Pedrera is one of Barcelona's icons, and was the last building that Gaudí worked on before he devoted his attention to La Sagrada Familia. Often called Casa Milà after the family who commissioned Gaudi to create it, the building’s official name translates as ‘the quarry’ in Spanish, and some of its most beautiful spaces are open to the public. Collect your audio guide and explore the eye-opening interiors at your leisure. With audio commentary providing rich detail, you’ll come away with a deep understanding of the building and Gaudi himself. Pass through the decorative lobbies and two courtyards of Passeig de Gràcia and Provenca with their swirling murals and mosaics. Explore the Exhibition Hall, the former residence of the building’s owners, the Milà family. Ascend to La Pedrera’s crowning glory: its roof terrace. Marvel at the corkscrew chimneys set against the sweeping backdrop of Barcelona.

Not a big place in terms of the visitor ‘essentials’ route but worthwhile. Great audio guide that sensed your location around the building and triggered automatically…neat. The apartment and roof terrace areas were great….but the Star is the architecture
The audio guide works well for both kids and adults. It’s well paced and interesting. You can decide how long you want to spend in each area of the house.
This was self audio tour it was fabulous as we could takenour time and listen to the tour on the phone.
Great audioguide, interesting building, great views of the city. That's all I've got for your review.
Loved the audio tour. Go at your own pace… no guide to rush you through. Highly recommend! Well organized and prompt tour company.
In a previous trip to Barcelona, we only saw from the outside. It was great to see what it looked like inside with some original pieces of furniture. The rooftop views were spectacular. The audio guide was very helpful. If you are a Gaudi fan, then this is a must see.
Excellent. Rained during our visit so the roof was closed which was a disappointment. Worth the visit.
Be prepared to queue and wait while people pose and take multiple photos at the arch on the rooftop with the view of La Sagrada Familia. Interior apartment ok. Nice models of Gaudi buildings. In my opinion Casa Batlo is better.
You can learn so much about the larger than life personality of Gaudi through his artistic creations. He was God’s gift for men.
Another incredible example of Gaudi’s creative works. I enjoyed the models in the attic that explained more of his process, and the rooftop views are incredible.
Great experience glad we chose the audio guide made the tour more interesting
great tour and anazing building . i loved all the gaudi buildings . i would highly recommend this tour
No one to meet with and give guidance. E wry Viator tour in the past we had a guide or at the very least someone to meet us at the meeting point. What is the point of booking with Viator? Could have just bought tickets on the location website.
I liked this audio tour. The rooftop is worth the trip. It would be stunning at night. I found the attic area very informative about Guadi, and the apartment was also very interesting. Overall, it was a good quick stop, especially for Guadi fans!
Good experience, interesting place
Great place and a 100% must do when in Barcelona.
Seamless experience- showed up 15 mins early, they let us in with no problem, QR code/ticket scanned and entered. Tour was at our own pace as the headset activated as you entered each different area or room. It can be warm on the roof in June - but we were aware. Overall, we enjoyed the experience.
This large building designed by Gaudi attracts attention for the whimsical “guardians” on the roof (which hide the chimneys and stairwells). Gaudi’s organic themes are on prominent display, with an oval courtyard in the center and curving lines and forms in the apartments and throughout the building. We felt a bit rushed on our guided tour to work our way through the building, but we had plants of time to enjoy the views from the rooftop terraces.
What a lovely tour. We were greeted by friendly happy staff that looked after us. We were directed to the reception desk and given our headphones and then given instructions on where to go. I would highly recommend this tour.
The rooftop is the best part of this so go on a nice day. Internal exhibits show you overviews of many of Gaudi's other buildings and design philosophy. No wait.
Another amazing Gaudi-designed building. The audio guide was good and staff were friendly. The apartments were decorated for the era in which they were built which was very interesting. The rooftop alone was worth the price of admission; absolutely stunning with amazing views. The gift shop was good too. A must for anyone interested in Gaudi and his work.
La Pedrera-Casa Mila is a definite must see in Barcelona. The attic space alone is incredible. If you need to use their elevators to get from floor to floor, they are very helpful!!! Don’t hesitate to go!!!!
The audio guide was great and it was easy to follow. Excellent visit and very worth while
The house is amazing, however the self guided tour was not all that great. A bit off. I believe it would be a better experience if it was with an actual guide
The audio tour of Casa Mila is more than sufficient to understand Gaidi’s inspired work. The attic is unbelievably and the roof with its many chimneys are a delight to study. Highly recommend.
Description of attraction was as expected.
I gave this a 3, only because the crowds were intense, the air was humid and thick, and everything felt dirty and sticky. This would not have been so unreasonable if it had been cheaper to get in...$65, then $85 with an additional fee. We went on a Saturday, our first day in Barcelona, which was probably a mistake, and it was not worth the price. The architecture is beautiful and the fixtures and furniture all match and are lovely. The audio tour is a bit thin and doesn't add much value. In all, if you are a local, it's worth it at the lower price they pay. There ought to be something else in place to keep the crowds down. The staggered entry they use does not work well.
Audio guide written as if Gaudi speaking. Each area has own section. Elevator available from roof for those who don’t do well going down flights of stairs. Enjoyed attic Gaudi history and models.
Casa Milà (La Pedrera) was truly an immersive experience. Compared to Casa Batlló, it feels more restrained, but in a good way—the focus here is more on structure and space than decoration. The apartment level gives a good sense of how people actually lived in the building, and the layout is practical and easy to follow. The interior courtyard and light wells are worth paying attention to—they show how carefully light and airflow were designed. Without a doubt, the attic, inspired by a whale’s anatomy, is the highlight, with its repeating yet unique arches and clean, almost minimalist look. It feels very different from the rest of the building and really shows the structural thinking behind it. The rooftop is probably the most memorable part. The chimneys and forms are unusual and sculptural, and the views across the city are excellent. It’s a great place to take your time and walk around. Overall, it’s not as visually dramatic as Casa Batlló, but it offers a deeper appreciation of Gaudí’s engineering and design approach. It’s easy to navigate, not overly long, and definitely worth visiting. Visiting Tips: • Book tickets online in advance • Best time: early morning or late afternoon/evening • Busiest: midday (11:00–15:00) • Duration: ~60–90 minutes • Audio guide: helpful for understanding structure and design details Do Casa Batlló first to fully understand Casa Mila better —it gives you an clear insight into how Antoni Gaudí moved from expressive design to more structural functionality.
We totally enjoyed our afternoon wandering around Casa Mila.
A spur of the moment trip following on from other Gaudi visits. Really loved the attic and the roof top.
Excellent. The audio guide via the app was very informative and easy to use. Fascinating.
Came here today around 5 pm and did the tour with audio guide. Very nice building and tour and worth seeing.
La Pedrera - Casa Milà today, and it was one of the most impressive Gaudí experiences in Barcelona! This UNESCO World Heritage site (built 1906–1912) feels like a living, breathing piece of organic architecture—nicknamed “La Pedrera” (the stone quarry) for its undulating, quarry-like stone facade that ripples along Passeig de Gràcia. It’s Gaudí’s last residential building, and stepping inside reveals his genius in blending functionality, nature, and pure imagination. The rooftop was the absolute highlight—those iconic warrior-like chimneys and vents twisted into sculptural shapes like something from a fantasy world! Walking among them with panoramic views over the Eixample district and distant glimpses of Sagrada Família was magical, especially in the afternoon light. The Espai Gaudí attic exhibition is fascinating too, with models, photos, and explanations of Gaudí’s techniques and other works—it’s like a mini Gaudí museum under those soaring parabolic arches that feel almost cathedral-like.
What a wonderful afternoon exploring another of Gaudi’s amazing creations. The audio guide is great to listen to as you walk around and look at the many interesting aspects of the building. It certain brings home the enormous imagination of Gaudi’s mind. The admission fee is quite reasonable considering that it goes towards the upkeep of the building… I went in the afternoon and it never felt too over-crowded.
This building/sculpture is amazing. The audioguide was well done and provided good insight into Gaudi’s ideas, vision and techniques. We visited this house before we went to Sagrida Familia and I think that this tour gave us a very good background on Gaudi. Very nice and extensive gift shop too.
La Pedrera—Gaudí’s final residential project before he devoted himself entirely to religious architecture. This isn’t just a building; it’s engineering, art and faith intertwined. Inside, 273 catenary arches—like a whale’s rib cage—replace traditional load-bearing walls, and curved lines erase the right angles of contemporary construction. The rooftop feels almost mythical. The audioguide adds context, but wandering at your own pace—magical. “Gaudy” may imply excess, but Gaudí’s work is anything but. In person, the precision and vision are undeniable, and his influence on Barcelona unmistakable. See it for yourself—Barcelona isn’t complete without Gaudí.
Had a rainy day to site-see in Barcelona. An audio tour of this Gaudi home was a great choice. Take your time wandering through. Don’t miss the rooftop experience! Even with the wind and clouds, it was spectacular.
Would highly recommend a visit to this attraction and can get busy at peak times so please allow time and book in advance.
Beautiful even in the rain. Unable to access roof but still worth the visit. Staff friendly and informative.
We did a full Gaudi Tour day -- and this was our first stop of the day. Amazing "house" with some many interesting elements. Take your time. The displays in the attic are worth really slowing down and looking through, as the elements of his architecture come to life around you. Just amazing. If weather permits, walk around the whole of the roof exploring the views from every vantage point. There are great views of the Sagrada Familia in the distance.
We loved visiting La Pedrera; the audio tour it’s a must to understand what you are experiencing… a must see when visiting Barcelona. Incredible view from the top of the city & La Sagrada Familia
La Pedrera was gorgeous and the guided headset tour was perfect! Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate so we weren't able to go up onto the roof. Honestly, the tour was still well worth it even without the roof portion.
Exellent. I suggest. Beautiful and with norman entrance price you can see apartments and stairs. We went to Casa Battlo as well and it was sold so full that people could not move on the whole visit. We vere just standing on line like sardins. Casa Milan was not too full. I suggest this option to see and enjoy Gaudis masterpieces.
I had no clue I could enter this strange, alien building, so you can imagine how surprised I was when I saw the ticket line! We were able to get tickets quickly on a Friday evening, so that was nice for our spontaneity. It’s definitely worth taking a walk inside, and make sure to spend some time on the roof. The art is enchanting and the Barcelona views are spectacular.
Easy to self guide. Good flow. Go early to make sure you can set your own pace. Staff everywhere in case you need assistance e with anything or have questions.
Well I was distinctly underwhelmed. You get to see just one apartment in this block, and frankly it felt like going round someone's flat in London. Not a very big flat either. The audio guide was pretty basic, like the apartment. The attic and roof were better, but no way this justifies the 30 euro entrance fee. If you're on a budget I'd definitely avoid.
This was my second time going through this building. It is just so interesting. The details he thought of back then.
This was a well organised venue. Very informative. The rooftop was out of this world. The lifts made it easy access for all
