Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, is one of Antoni Gaudí’s most iconic secular works a residential building that feels more like a living sculpture than a block of flats. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it stands as Gaudí’s final residential masterpiece, blending innovation, functionality, and artistic expression in a way that still feels ahead of its time. Don’t skip the rooftop it’s the most magical part of the experience.

Itinerary
Start your experience at the modernist masterpiece of La Pedrera to embark on this 1.15-hour guide tour. Use your priority access ticket to sail past long lines in the crowed entrance foyer of the UNESCO-listed landmark. After greeting your guide and small group, you'll start exploring the building in relative solitude. Stroll thorough a richly decorated lobby and extensive courtyards embellished in typical Gaudi style; capture tourist-free photographs of kaleidoscopic murals and mosaics, and then explore the Exhibition Hall to see impressive stair columns. Enter the apartment to see an accurate recreation of a bourgeois apartment in the building during the 20th century. Rise to the roof terrace to observe the jewel in the building's architectural crown, its imitable corkscrew chimneys, and then absorb panoramic vistas of Barcelona’s skyline before descending to the Espai Gaudi to peruse an exhibition detailing the architect’s life and works.

La Pedrera (Casa Milà) is pure Gaudí's genius. We booked the sunrise guided tour, and it was excellent; the guide was very knowledgeable and she explained to us how Gaudí designed every detail, from the flowing stone facade to the attic space used for laundry. One of the highlights, without question, is the rooftop. Walking among the surreal warrior chimneys while taking in 360-degree views of Barcelona and the mountains was unforgettable. The period apartment recreation on the floor below adds wonderful context about how upper-class families lived when the building was new. We learned a few interesting details that Gaudí added for the comfort of the people that lived there. Ticket is expensive, but definitely worth it!
Definitely worth waking up early for! We were the first visitors on to the roof of La Pedrera and had the place to ourselves and uninterrupted views of Gaudí’s Barcelona! Brilliant and very knowledgeable guide. Excellent experience made even better by the lack of crowds. Highly recommend the sunrise tour.
Great information on the history of the house & so nice to get there 30m before they open for a less crowded experience
We did the sunrise tour which was particularly good time to visit before it got so busy. Our guide Nikos was friendly and informative. Lovely views from the rooftop
Gemma was knowledgable and patient. There was a mix up between trip advisor and Casa Mila team but Gemma made sure we could take the tour and sort it out afterwards.
I highly recommend the early morning access tour! Unlike the rest of the attractions we visited in Barcelona, we actually have photos of La Pedrera without tons of people blocking our view. We had a real person guiding the small-group tour (rather than a recorded audio-tour), so were able to ask questions and pause for pictures. It's not really a "sunrise" tour, but maybe thats for the best. If you're interested in Gaudi architecture, then this is a MUST!
This was the perfect way to experience Casa Mila before the crowds arrived. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable, and the views of the city and Sagrada Familia from the roof were a welcome addition!
Wow amazing experience the architecture was outstanding & our guide was fantastic. She was friendly & very knowledgeable answering questions & easy to understand. The early morning tour before the crowds was well worth the money.
We arrive a bit late, but it didn’t hurt the overall experience. Our tour guide is a young Spanish girl with great smile on her face. She explained everything in detail and will patiently wait for the whole group to gather together, then move on to the next. Very good experience.
Our tour guide was phenomenal, knowledgeable on the history and also funny. Great way to see Casa Mila!
This place is a very unusual hundred-year old apartment building designed by Gaudi in his usual style. While it may look strange to us, it seems very well laid-out and would have been a great place to live at the time. The roof is a challenge for anyone with problems with heights, but there are handrails to hold!
There is a reason why this stunning creation was declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1984. This beautiful building is in Passeig de Gracia near Casa Batllo. Love the design as definitely looked more classier than other Gaudi creations (with the exception of course of the magnificent La Sagrada Familia) Worth visiting. Hope this helps, Gorgeous Raquel
Guide brilliant. Informative, knowledgable, inclusive. Group size small. A privilege to visit iconic site before open to the general public
We had an extremely informative guide who gave us a great insight into how Gaudi, the architect, thought. Taking the 8 am small group tour was really good as we had the whole place to ourselves. Highly recommend.
My wife and I took the “La Pedrera Early Access Small-Group Tour” this past September 20, 2019. Our guide’s English language skills were flawless. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history, architectural design theory, and construction techniques of the building. Being an architect, myself, I was impressed by his ability to answer my myriad of questions. I really wish that I could remember his name and give him personal credit. However since we were on the road for a month, I really don’t remember his name. Our guide was very personable and patient as my wife and I along with the other couple on the tour stopped to take pictures and spend some extra time along various portions of the tour. None of us ever felt rushed. Our exceptional guide brought La Pedrera to life as he also related the story of the Milo family who commissioned Antoni Gaudi to design and build this outstanding piece of architecture. He continued on with the story as to the initial interactions and finally the conflicts that later ensued between designer and owner…quite fascinating. In my opinion this is the best tour of La Pedrera. Because our tour began one hour before the facility officially opened, we were able to view the area in peace and quiet, stroll at a relaxed pace, and not have loads of people bumping into us and making it hard to hear our guide talk. We were able to really enjoy a tour of the whole facility-inside as well as on the rooftop. As our tour ended and we exited outside, we saw quite a crowd lined up waiting for their turn. We, however, were given vouchers for the El Café de La Pedrera which is right next door. What a beautiful restaurant…Great coffee…any kind of hand-made pastry that you could want…perfect ending to a perfect morning tour. Dan Houston
After you marvel at the exterior...take a tour of the inside. Essentially being used as offices and "grandfathered" residential housing, this masterpiece Is an awesome look at a phenomenal forward thinking artist, architect and developer who was definitely ahead of his time. The structures are unbelievable yet inspiring to know that Gaudi had such efficient and effective reasons for his "art". As you grasp the fact that he had ergonomic and dual purposes in mind when he made this visual feast.. its ABSOLUTELY overwhelming ! The gift shop onsite is a small but unique way to take a souvenir of your experience. Silver jewelry reminiscent of his designs was my treat! You have to see from the roof much less the street!!
I Loved it !! The coffee in the cafe at the end of tour was so enjoyable. The Gaudi ceilngs were beautiful. Our tor guide was very friendly and informative. A good experrence.
Our tour guide was wonderful (sorry I can’t remember his name!). He was smart and friendly and informed. The group was smaller than 15 people and it was a real luxury to be there before the crowds and their cameras and selfies descended on the building. The group was composed of knowledgeable tourists who were really interested in the history and architecture. Well worth waking early and paying extra.
We did the morning tour before opening time and had a really great time! Our guide was very interesting and knowledgeable and we could tell he was very passionate about Barcelona history. The building is really worth visiting especially before the crowds! Super interesting!
I had studied his work at school but to understand his genius, you must feel his spaces. Truly transformative and magical. Well worth the price of admission. Go early and avoid the crowds!
First of all, the early morning access tour, before everyone else enters Casa Mila was the best choice! It was wonderful making our way through the home and and then finally the rooftop! What a special place! Learning about the story behind this great creation was just inspiring. Getting such special attention, and the guide all to ourselves, in a small group, was great! And let me say that our tour guide was amazing!!! Roberto was not only knowledgeable about all the history. It was much more than that. He was passionate about the story telling, that it drew you in and made you feel like you were in a time warp. It was clear he just enjoys his job, and that it's much more than just a job to him. And because of that, I felt totally immersed in the world and thoughts of Gaudi. This was one of my favorite tours in Barcelona. And I have to thank Roberto for it! Thanks for making my visit to La Pedrera an incredible experience Roberto!!! :)
This is one of the most popular tourist sites in Barcelona and I was also told one of the most crowded. Therefore, I paid the premium for the morning exclusive tour where we entered the the site at 8am before the official 9am opening time. There were 18 people on this tour and the guide showed us around the Pedrera and gave in-depth explanations of the most prominent parts of the building and exhibits. The stairs and corridors were quite narrow so I could understand that things could be very crowded quite easily. We obviously did not have this problem and there was a lot of space to move around. The "exclusive" part of the tour that is not available for regular ticket holders is the downstairs "garage" which is now converted to a large auditorium, which I found rather underwhelming. In any case, you really feel you have the place to yourself and there are countless opposites to take photos. When the tour finished you are provided a coffee coupon to use in the Cafe. Overall, the tour is pricey for 1.5 hours but may be worth considering if you are a fan of Gaudi or you really want a more relaxed experience.
Wonderful tour. The early access is unbeatable. We were able to visit as a group before La Pedrera opened, which made for a special experience. We didn't need an audio-device since we were the only group touring. Also, the rooftop, which is ideal for photos, was open to only our group. It was worth getting up early! Our tour guide was also very knowledgeable and even offered to take photos for us. Great tour!
You need time to observe and really appreciate this unique building with all its floors. The way he use colour and light, wave floors and various techniques to create ventilation is absolutely impressive. A must see in Barcelona.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. He gave us just the right amount of info. We thought it was an excellent tour and well worth visiting!
We were excited to do the tour, and then when we arrived someone climbed the tower and thus we were unable to visit the Eiffel Tower. We were advised we would get a refund from the place we purchased, however we have only gotten a partial refund. Unhappy with this experience of customer service. We ended up purchasing a tour directly with the supplier and that went very well, but unfortunately we are now fighting to get our full refund and this is a terrible experience.
Absolutely take the early morning tour. The place is empty and you have it to yourself with only a few others. The lines when we left were around the block. Plus, sunrise on the roof is quite nice. Don't miss it.

I loved this early access concept. We were the only ones touring La Pedrera and got to feel the serenity and beauty of the house. It felt as if we were in the forest, as Gaudi brought nature into the courtyard, and up onto the roof. Being able to take pictures on the rooftop, for a good 15 minutes before the tour buses arrived, was wonderful. Walking through the different apartments took us back in time and showed us what it must have felt living inside a beautiful art piece.

Well worth the early start to do this tour - no-one else around and we had special access to the roof and saw the sun rise over Barcelona. Walking through one of the apartments was a big plus. The tour was comprehensive and our guide was excellent.

It was a wonderful experience to tour this site in a small group before Casa Mila opened to other tourists.

Excellent tour, well worth getting up early for.
Le Pedrera was amazing and being able to see everything without crowds of people was ideal.

This was totally worth going early for. The sunrise over La Pedrera is worth seeing and a small group of 8 of us had the opportunity to take incredible photos with no one else in them. I highly recommend this tour if you're going to be in Barcelona and can wake up early -use jet lag to your advantage.

Great experience. Our guide Julia was charming and informative. We learned a great deal about the artistry and genius of Gaudi and being in the building before the crowds was fantastic. The coffee in the cafe after was lovely. We would have liked to tip Julia but did not have the opportunity because our time with her did not have a clear ending.

I loved this tour. It's done through the museum directly so you wait at the main entrance for your guide. We lucked out any only had about 8 people in the tour they allow up to 15. Our guide was great too you can tell he really loves the history of Gaudi and his work. Being able to have only a small group on the roof was magical. If you can wake up early enough it really is worth it.

The modernist house par excellence. Recommended by the guide. Everyone stops at Casa Batlló, but Gaudí worked on this house at the height of his expression as an architect. Furthermore, the roof can also be visited. The price of the visit is lower and the line is almost non-existent. I highly recommend it
Visit starts at 8:30 AM. 2 groups of 15-20 people, one in English, one in Chinese. Start of the visit was fine, but at 9 AM the casa opened to the public, making the guided visit incomprehensible and constantly interrupted by other groups. Tour taken with breakfast included. Avoid this, it is not a breakfast, just a choice between 3 sandwiches and coffee or tea, including for children… orange juice extra, croissant extra… €11.90 for the coffee and the ham sandwich...
This is the experience, I'm glad I made it. We entered 8:30 with the guide, she very well, I have nothing to criticize regarding the guide, very friendly always and gave good information. The visit itself I did not like, fast and with MANY people who did not allow you to almost walk much less value what you were seeing. The building as such impressive yes very interesting but the visit itself is bad. They shouldn't let so many people in at the same time. They sell you the entrance at dawn as if it were something exclusive but immediately it is full of people and you can not even walk, that was my experience.
Go to the first tour of 830 to take advantage of the space with few people and can take pictures
We took with the family the tickets to visit La Pedrera and left very happy. You walk through several spaces of the building, see what the original homes were like and end up on the roof with all the views that is the most striking, everything is well explained and the staff is friendly during the tour
A wonderful weekend with the family the berda we did not have a wonderful time a whole beauty 😍 💕 recommended to 100 uuff 👌🏽👌🏽
All right. Beautiful place and beautiful area. No wonder it's one of the landmarks in the area. I would say more about the whole country.
jedna z kilku budowli Gaudiego, która warto zobaczyć zwłaszcza od środka. Dużo fajnych i zarazem unikalnych wzór tak ważnych dla architektury Gaudiego
Admission is relatively expensive for access, but if you are interested in art noveau/art deco, you can not miss it. The great feeling is time travel. Do it.
It is a beautiful place to visit as a couple the truth that me and my partner love the stories and all of this place
Visiting this building is one of the things you should not miss visiting I have visited it several times also with friends The best thing to do is first thing because it is the time that fewer people have to enjoy all its charm. What I miss the most on my first visit was that an architect Mr. Gaudí in the year of 1.912 made this virgeria that in summer it will not be hot and in winter you will not be cold and without putting radiators of any kind. If you do not have someone to guide you the best is to rent an audio guide to enjoy
For me it is the work together with sacred family most emblematic, original and precious both outside and inside gaudi. it is advisable to go first thing in the morning as there are fewer people and you can visit better from 9h. la pedrera is located in the corner Provence Provence indispensable visit in Barcelona is one of the best architectural creations of gaudi .
Spectacular artwork La Pedrera! It is a modernist building made by the architect Antoni Gaudí, which was built between 1906 and 1910 and is located in the Ensanche de Barcelona, specifically at the number 92 Paseo de Gracia. Its façade is striking in the form of waves that look like Del Mar waves and its wrought iron balconies. And also highlight the columns of the main hall. The building is beautiful, worth the visit
One of the extraordinary works of Gaudi, which also has the help in its construction on the roof of another great architect like Jujol. Jujol's collaboration stands out, as in other works of a building of the most beautiful in the world
We decided to visit La Pedrera first thing because we had been told that it was the time when there were fewer people and we got it right. We were able to climb to the roof and enjoy seeing how Barcelona is rising from the terrace designed by Gaudí.
