Eyal was very knowledgeable about the history of the Jews in Barcelona. There just isn’t a lot to see, as there are very few sights remaining The tour should be combined with something else

The information was very interesting and the depth was mostly up to us. Our guide was Ella and she was outstanding in every way
The Guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much about the city and the Jewish Quarter.
Our guide, Dina, was prompt and informative. She was interesting and shared visual illustrations with us. We would recommend this tour to others.
Our guide, Lilach, was outstanding! Lilach walked us through the jewish quarter giving us a detailed historical explanation that was very relatable. She answered all of our questions and paced the tour to see and talk about things important to us. Again it was great experience and I definitely would recommend it to others.
Dina was excellent. Gave us historical perspective combining maps and pictures. Excellent way to understand Jewish history in Barcelona.
Lilach is an amazing tour guide. She navigated the history of Spain, Barcelona and the Jews perfectly. I learned an incredible amount about the Jewish experience up to and past 1492. She was able to answer all our questions and explain clearly and in great detail. I highly recommend the tour experience and our tour guide.
Ella was an amazing tour guide with such an excellent knowledge of the history of the area - we completely enjoyed our time With her and will definitely book more tours with Ella in the future -
This was amazing. Not o ly the history of barcelona and catalan, but Aragon, the Moores and before that. All of that is needed to understand the history of the jews. My guide Lilach was terrific. Very attentive, very knowledgeable. Highly recommended
Great experience! The tour was perfect. The tour guide, Eyal, was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
We had a great tour with Eyal. His knowledge of the Jewish history of Barcelona is amazing. If you are interested in learning and seeing the Jewish section of Barcelona, I highly recommend taking it with him.
Lilach was an amazing tour guide. Incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Clearly has a passion for what she does. I highly recommend the tour for anyone you wants to learn about the history of Spain the Old City and the Jewish community. So much to see and learn.
Although there is little record of Jewish life left in Barcelona, especially in the past 600 years, our guide showed us the remnants of a variety of Jewish sites. He explained Jewish history in Spain, the impact of the inquisition, including laws that persisted until the 1960s! He discussed conversos and we had a brief discussion of Judaism in Barcelona today. Overall he was engaging and informative.
Due to a flight delay, we were unable to make our prepaid private tour. I was only able to notify the tour moments before the scheduled time, yet they rescheduled our door with a reasonable rebooking fee. Our guide was excellent, knowledgeable, engaging and sprinkled the 2 hour tour with interesting stories and facts.
Our guide was so knowledgeable about the all the events that happened to the Jews throughout Spain’s history.
Our guide, Ella, was phenomenal. The private tour was truly a highlight of our trip. If you have the chance to choose your guide, I would highly recommend her!
Excellent tour of the Gothic Quarter with a focus Jewish History in Barcelona. Our tour guide Ela was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. Both of our kids (12 and 17) were very engaged in the tour too. High recommended!!
Dori was a fantastic guide, filled with incredible knowledge, storytelling skills, and a wonderful passion for this history and the city.
Lila is an Excellent guide and very knowledgeable. She made the tour very interesting and answered all of our questions.
Wonderful tour with a very knowledgeable guide (Eyal). We enjoyed it. Highly recommend experiencing this while in Barcelona
Ella was an exceptional tour guide. She covered general history as well as Jewish, so we got a comprehensive context. She was fun to be with, and the tour was enjoyed by both the Jews and non Jews in our group.
Sorry I missed doing this right after the tour, but this is definitely worth your time. While there is very little actually "Jewish" about the city, you do get a good historical overview of the city
Adi is a highly knowledgeable and cultured guide who skillfully weaves together historical facts and anecdotes, adapting his narrative both for those who are already well-versed in the subject and for those who are less familiar with it. The pace of the tour was just right, and his charming jokes and natural optimism made the walk especially enjoyable. Although only traces of the Jewish historical presence remain in the quarter itself, the tour was still very interesting and absolutely worthwhile.
Ela was one of the best tour guides we ever had. She was so delightful, professional and knew her Jewish history of Barcelona. We would recommend Ela anytime to friends and family.
This was an enjoyable and informative tour. We were the only two participants so we received a lot of attention from our tour guide, Doro. Doro was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He really made the Jewish story come alive and did an excellent job of incorporating the Jewish story into the general history of Barcelona
Our guide was fabulous Explained history with comparisons in today’s events Learned new history Would definitely use Viator again
My guide, Ella, was fantastic! I learned so much about the Jewish history of Barcelona and walking the narrow streets of Del Call with her brought it to life. She was so knowledgeable, kind and generous with recommendations for me. Highly recommend this tour.
Adi was the best guide we’ve had in Barcelona - he was exceptionally knowledgeable and provided unique and compelling insights into the history of Barcelona’s Jews in the context of medieval and modern day history. He made meaningful connections and helped draw line from ancient to modern day Jewry with fascinating stories and insights about the lives of Spain’s Jews . He pointed out amazing architectural details we’d never have been able to intuit on our own. Given the post 10/7 world we live in, Israel and antisemitism are very much top of mind for many of us, and our dialogue with Adi was informational, thought provoking and profoundly valuable. If you’re interested in history, you simple can’t get a more interesting tour than this one or a more compelling tour guide than Adi.
Dina did an excellent comprehensive tour of the Jewish sites and gave a historical review of the Jewish presence in Barcelona She showed us things you could never spot on your own Took us to the historical old synagogue in Barcelona
This ended up being a private tour because no one else signed up which was Fantastic!!! The guide was amazing and very knowledgeable about everything!!! Loved seeing the old synagogue and learning about the Jewish people in Spain!!
Ella was fantastic. Brilliant and warm and so knowledgeable about history, architecture etc. Do not miss this tour. We brought a friend who Jeeves from Barcelona and she LOVED it!!
Lilac was our tour guide & she was just excellent! We learned so much about the history and culture of the Jewish quarter & how it came to be. Lilac was so knowledgeable and made the tour so fun & interesting.
a knowledgeable friendly guide who took us to all the areas of interest and was happy to answer all questions.
Dina was extremely knowledgeable. She’s been living in the area over 40 years and provided personal attention.
Very thorough and interesting presentation. Guide was very knowledgeable and personable and also vey energetic and truly passionate about telling the story of the Jewish community in Barcelona. As an Israeli emigre to Barcelona, she embellished her presentation with many personal anecdotes that added context to the points she made on the tour. We were extremely impressed the presentation and would highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic guide, very informative tour. She went out of her way. She was extremely knowledgeable about Barcelona and the Jewish experience.
We had a great walking tour and our guide showed us amazing items we never would have seen. She also provided a detailed history to fully appreciate what we were observing.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Eyal was extraordinarily knowledgeable and interesting. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
My wife and I often take tours of the Jewish Quarter in diverse cities around the world. We have seldom been disappointed and have had some wonderful guides. Our guide in Barcelona was exceptional in the depth of her historical knowledge of the Jews of Catalonia and also the wider Spanish region during the Middle Ages up to the present time. If you are a history buff you will truly enjoy this tour.
Amazing tour! Our guide has in depth knowledge of the Jewish history and the Catalan history of the area. She was friendly and warm. We thouroughly enjoyed our time with her!
Dina was fabulous. She shared so much knowledge. It seems there was not a fact or story she did not know. I highly recommend this tour. Dina was very nice and a wonderful tour guide.
Excellent tour of area with very detailed review of Jewish history of area . Highly recommend this experience with exceptionally skilled guide
Amazing tour with a tremendous amount of fascinating information. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona.
Eyal was kind and patient. I had many questions! He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. I appreciated his historical stories very much.
Wonderful. Leilah was very knowledgeable and engaging. She pointed out the smallest details that bring the area to life.
Excellent tour and tour guide Lichal, which focused on the whole historical context of Barcelona from the third century through the inquisition and the role the Jewish community played in the Moorish and Christian kingdoms.
Very knowledgeable guide. Rina was wonderful. We both learned so much. Would recommend Rina as a guide.
This was a great walking tour that highlighted the history of the Jewish people in Spain. Our friendly tour guide, Lila, was very knowledgeable and guided us through the history as well as pointing out notable locations and details.
Lilach Weiss was absolutely brilliant. I’ve done dozens of walking tours around the world and I must say this one was the best! I majored in history at Johns Hopkins five decades ago and I have a Masters in Talmudical research. Lilach was on point in her knowledge of history and the more I commented, the more she shared and taught me and my fiancé. It was a refresher 2.5 course that spanned several millennia! I can’t praise Lilach or recommend her enough. If you’re Jewish or a history buff, or simply someone who wants to do more than gobble the local cuisine; this is a must-see tour. Enjoy!
