This was our first time visiting Girona and Figueres, and with a family of eight, setting up a tour is always a challenge. Anatoli made it effortless. He picked us up right from our accommodation and took us to the beautiful city of Girona, then on to Figueres, a fascinating town thanks to the Dalí Theatre-Museum. We learned a lot throughout the day and left with a real appreciation for both places. Thank you, Anatoli! Highly recommended for families and larger groups looking for a stress-free way to see this part of Catalonia.

Itinerary
Start this tour directly from your hotel or apartment in Barcelona city. We come to pick you up, so please be sure to let us know exactly where you are staying.
Arrive in Girona, a city founded by the Romans that grew into one of the great medieval cities of Catalonia. Your guide will introduce you to its long history as you begin your walk through the old town.
Stop on one of Girona’s bridges to admire the houses hanging over the Onyar River, painted in warm shades of ochre, red and yellow that are reflected in the water below. It’s the city’s most iconic view.
Walk through El Call, a maze of narrow lanes, stone stairways and hidden courtyards where a thriving Jewish community lived for over 600 years. Your guide will tell you its story, from the great scholars it produced to the expulsion of 1492.
Climb onto Girona’s medieval walls, built on Roman foundations, and follow them for views over the rooftops, the bell towers and the Pyrenees on clear days.
Marvel at the symbol of the city, Cathedral of Girona or Saint Mary, which includes the widest Gothic nave in the world, with a width of 23 metres. It was famously known as "Great Sept of Baelor" in the TV show "Game of Thrones"
See the 12th-century Arab Baths, which, despite their name, were built by Christians in the Romanesque style, inspired by the bathhouses of ancient Rome.
Continue your tour to Figueres, a small town near the French border and the birthplace of Salvador Dalí, only fifteen kilometres away from the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the Pyrenees and surrounded by three natural parks. You'll be fascinated by the Dalí Theatre-Museum, both inside and outside, and by the vibrant lifestyle of this small town. Explore the streets where Dalí spent his early years, as well as some of the places he frequented as an adult.
Dali wanted to leave a mark on his own native city and decided to built the Dali Theatre-Museum upon the ruins of the old municipal theatre. This present that Dali gave to the city is considered as the largest work of surrealist art in the world. Plunge deep into the painter's creative mind by visiting the museum and experiencing a comprehensive collection of the peculiar exhibitions. Get prepared to be amazed by this inspiring piece of art that will definitely mark your day.
End your visit with the jewels Dalí designed in gold and precious stones, including the Royal Heart, a heart of rubies made to look as if it were beating.

Anatoni was very informative , so nice and eloquent tour guide. I personally respect him for his professional ethics.
Anatoni was very good. We enjoyed our tour.
Matt was an excellent guide. We learned a lot about Dali and his tour of the museum was very interesting and informative. Punctual and great communicator.
Chema was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun and interesting. He did not make it feel rushed and was enjoyable to be around.
Matt was a fabulous guide for this day tour! Everything ran smoothly, and the day was very fun. Not only did Matt share information about Dali and Girona, but also about Barcelona, current events, and daily life. Perfect day out!
Gironais a beautiful town. The Dalí Museum was a beautiful experience. Especially enjoyed the custom-made socks in the gift shop.
Noelia was terrific. She was very informative Had lots of good stories. Made the day so enjoyable ..
This was exactly the tour I wanted. We had wanted to do this tour three years ago, but I procrastinated and waited until I had hotel reservations before finalizing. The company I found that did this was sold out by that point AND our ship was delayed in disembarking so I would have missed it anyways. Chema was the perfect guide. He explained so much of the area while we were traveling and while we were in the museum. He was very accommodating to our group and tried to keep us informed of the itinerary while allowing us some freedom to explore. He was extremely knowledgeable about both the art and the locale. I should also add that Chema went above and beyond for us particularly. It was clearly stated in this excursion that Salvadore Dali tickets were not included in this price and that there was an additional charge for the entry fee. I was booked with a different tour company and put down a deposit because I was determined not to missed this tour this time. However, that company cancelled our tour because it failed to meet their minimum and I was given a refund. Unbeknownst to me, part of that deposit was nonrefundable as it was applied to the entry fee for the Dali Museum. I was able to get the ticket from that other company, but Chema was able to navigate the Museum bureaucracy and validate our ticket for our visit and therefore exempting us from the additional charge as we already paid for it. We will definitely do something with your company as our experience in Barcelona necessitates another visit in the near future and your tour was a big part of that experience.
Chema, our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. He gave us a great tour of Girona and the Salvadore Dali Museum. My wife is an absolute Dali fan and this museum caused her to fangirl immensely. However, this was not the only part of this tour. Chema explained everything on the way and was very willing to accommodate the groups needs. I should add that we had a specific issue that he solved flawlessly, even though it took a while. I had booked this tour with someone else, but they cancelled on me. I had put down a deposit with them, however part of the deposit was applied to ticket for the Dali museum and was non-refundable. The other tour group was able to send me the tickets so i could use it, but it was a little difficult as the timing was off. Chema was able to navigate the bureaucracy with the Museum and validated our tickets. Tickets to the Museum was clearly stated on this excursion as an extra charge for this excursion, but we were exempt as Chema made our tickets work. To be honest, I was a little skeptical of Viator before this, but now i'm a fan of how easy and accommodating this is.
Marcelo was an amazing guide! We loved visiting the Dali’s museum and walking around Girona
Great experience and pleasant tour guide -- charismatic quirky humor with knowledge of history, culture and folktale!
What a wonderful day! Chema was so knowledgable and enthusiastic! It absolutely made our visit to the Dali museum amazing!! He was fantastic!!! We loved our day with him!
Perfect day. Perfect guide. Miquel our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, personable and a true lover of the arts. Wouldn't change any part of this tour.
Excellent day. Great info and rapport with our tour guide, Miquel. Bucket list item ticked off with the Dali museum. Fantastic driver. not to be missed if you are interested in art.
Uncle Mike was so passionate and knowledgeable. He was personable and was extremely impressive because very few people can remember everybody's name. My only pet peeve and this is true of all tour companies, is that the van was too small for the number of people but he made it work. His humor added to the fun of the day as many guides are dry.
Miquel was such a wonderful guide. He was very communicative both prior to the tour with the pickup time as well as during the day. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and enthusiastic about Dali. Not only did he keep the whole group entertained and informed the whole trip, but he was also a great driver. There was a perfect balance of guided group time with self exploration. Highly recommend the tour & Miquel as a guide.
Overall interesting tour. Jose was nice and very knowledgeable, especially in the Dali museum. Dali museum is a must to visit. Small group makes the experience better.
A great day trip to two interesting and completely different places. The experience was enhanced by our excellent guide Chema, who shared his knowledge of Girona and Dali with us. He was friendly and welcoming. Everything was seamless from pick up at our hotel to return. Two thumbs up for this tour. If you are lucky Chema will be your guide for a most informative day.
Our tour operator made the trip. He knew EVERYTHING about Girona and Dali. He was knowledgeable, answered questions and patient.
The museum and Girona were very interesting and worth seeing. It should be noted that we were informed the night before that we had to pay for the museum in cash with Euros and that we could not use credit cards.Chema, the tour guide, was very friendly and accommodating..
We had a wonderful day exploring the Salvador Dalí Museum and beautiful Girona with Matt! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging, making the whole experience memorable and enjoyable. Everything was perfectly organized, and his passion really made the tour special. Highly recommend Matt! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It was a really nice day. Beautiful scenery and art. Our guide was a lot of fun – very enthusiastic with a lot of knowledge on Dali and other things. I’d recommend the trip highly to friends.
Fantastic tour with Anatoli. He was punctual, well-organized but also flexible in meeting our needs. But most notably, his knowledge of Dali and explanations of several of Dali's works were eye-opening and much appreciated. His commentary also included interesting information about the Catalan region and Spain .. history, language, culture, and current events. He was very personable, and made best use of our time. Very enjoyable day!!
This was a fantastic tour of Girona and Figueras to see the Dali museum. Whilst it was a long day, it wasn't rushed. Anatoli, our guide, is a Dali fan so having him as our guide in the museum was an absolute treat!
Luis was excellent, personable, friendly, and prompt! He is truly knowledgeable and explained everything in details with clarity! We highly recommend Luis who we believe is an asset to Viator!
Luis gave us a great experience of both the town of Girona and especially about Salvatore Dali’s life and artistic ideas and techniques. This is clearly a passion for Luis. His pickups and driving were also first rate.
Chema was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. We really enjoyed our day on his tour.
Great tour, with very handsome and charming guide Miguel. Simply unforgettable...

Miquel was a great guide and driver! He knows a lot about the places we visited today. I highly recommend this company!
We had excellent tour guide Miquel. He has deep knowledge, a vibrant charisma, and the ability to present information in an engaging way. Makes the journey exciting and unforgettable.
Miquel was excellent! Very handsome
Had an amazing tour with Chema. In my opinion, a trip to the Dali Museum is an absolute must if you're in Barcelona. Chema is extremely knowledgeable, I even noticed a random couple at the museum tag along to listen to our tour at one point. Normally I like to experience museums on my own, but in this case I felt extremely lucky to have Chema guide us, I think we would have felt lost without him, and we still had plenty of time to explore afterwards. Girona is also beautiful but you don't need a lot of time there, and I thought the trip was perfectly timed in both locations. Love the small group size, it feels much more personal. After the tour, Chema reached out on WhatsApp with an excellent restaurant recommendation near our hotel and gave me an overview of the day. An absolutely memorable experience of both Girona and Dali with Chema, thank you!
Dulce and driver Wander is very nice and passionate, we love our trip so much, specially Dali teatr, museum ❤️
Excellent Dali museum, must see if you enjoy art. Our guide Dulcie was very knowledgeable. Learned alot about Dali, the area and Gerona. Highly recommend.
The guide Chema os very Nice person Very inteligent Knows a lot
Gaspar was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and funny, he made our trip fantastic!
Girona was a quaint medieval town and our wonderful guide, Dulce, told us all about the history and culture in a very entertaining way. In Figueres we had a delicious lunch recommended by our guide and toured the Dali museum. Dulce gave us context for Dali’s work and I came away with a better appreciation for the artist. Our driver got us there and back safely in the middle of a downpour. It was a great day. I highly recommend our guide and tour.
Dulce, our tour guide, spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. She provided a wonderful tour of the Dalí Theatre-Museum and Girona. Our driver, Wander, was also very careful and drove safely throughout the trip. I would have given this tour a five-star rating if not for the late communication regarding the pick-up time. It caused unnecessary stress and uncertainty about whether the tour would go ahead as planned. Overall, the tour itself was excellent, but I hope the company can improve its communication by confirming pick-up details earlier to provide guests with greater peace of mind.
Chema was an excellent guide. I would recommend him to anyone who loves history and have a good time while visiting. He is passionnate and hasard à good sense of humour
A wonderful day visiting Girona, Figueres and the Dali museum. Our guide, Marcelo was so personable and very informative. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed the day. Marcelo was very knowledgeable about Dali and his art.
Marcelo was an excellent guide and showed us the most beautiful parts of Girona and the Dali theatre. We also had plenty of free time to explore on our own.
Chema was knowledge, informative, accommodating, enthusiastic, engaging and entertaining from start to finish! It was a top notch tour and a wonderful and memorable experience. Loved the tour and highly recommend!
Chema was a great guide. Punctual, very knowledgeable, and a great sense of humour. He also explains, in a friendly way, where we're going, how long we'll be, etc. All up we had a relaxed, fun, educational, and highly entertaining day!
Luis C is your guy for Girona and especially the Dali Musuem. My wife and I were very impressed. His wealth of knowledge on the artist is truly special. He made the musuem and the artwork come to life. The secrets that he shares are what make the visit the most memorable. We highly recommend this experience and most importantly Luis C.
Luis was a fantastic tour guide. His knowledge of Dali’s work was so impressive. We would’ve never known some of the hidden stories of the paintings. We highly recommend.
