Your day starts with pick-up at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona. Join your small group and head north through the Catalan countryside towards Girona.
Start your day with a walking tour of Girona’s Old Town, one of the most emblematic cities in Catalonia. Founded by the Romans in 77 BC, Girona will surprise you with its blend of past and present. Admire the colourful façades of the houses along the Onyar River, and walk through the Old Town to El Call, one of the best-preserved Jewish quarters in Europe. Continue onto the old city walls, built in medieval times on Roman foundations, and enjoy great panoramic views of the city. See the cathedral, which has the widest Gothic nave in the world, and pass by the Archaeology Museum and the Arab Baths, a 12th-century Romanesque building inspired by Roman baths.
The Onyar River runs through the heart of Girona, and the colourful houses along its banks are reflected in the water, creating the city’s most famous view.
Girona’s Jewish Quarter, known as El Call, is a maze of narrow, winding alleys and stone archways. Your guide will tell you about the history of the community that lived here for centuries.

Admire the symbol of the city, Girona Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Mary, with the widest Gothic nave in the world, 23 metres across. Its grand stairway became the Great Sept of Baelor in Game of Thrones.
Pass by the Archaeology Museum, home to finds that reveal how far back Girona’s history goes.
The well-preserved Arab Baths were built in the 12th century and still stand today.
After Girona, head to the medieval village of Pals, full of history and local legends. A walk along its cobbled streets and alleys takes you straight back to the Middle Ages, with stone arches and Romanesque and Gothic doorways and windows.
Enjoy a walking tour of this old fishing village, set around several small coves. Calella de Palafrugell is one of the few places on the Costa Brava that still keeps the charm of the area’s villages before mass tourism, with narrow streets, steep tiled roofs and traditional two-storey fishermen’s houses. Choose from the village’s restaurants for a taste of traditional Catalan food (lunch not included in the price).
Antoli was the best tour guide! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. Excellent driver! He never made us feel rushed when everyone had to stop and take pictures every 2-5 minutes. This was an amazing highlight of our trip in Barcelona. The Costa Brava coastline was breathtaking, with stunning views. The small-group experience made the day feel more personal and enjoyable. Having transportation and pickup arranged from Barcelona made everything convenient and stress-free.

Viator sold us a tour in Spanish , they sold a tour to a couple from Chicago in English and a Mexican couple , that did not speak any English in both languages …., Javier the guide got very mad because I told him our tour was in Spanish , and there were 5 of us …… his English is not very good that is why we took it in Spanish even though we are bilingual ……… I gave this 2 start because he composed himself and we also did the same , and finish the tour,fine ( well at the end we got flat tire but not his fault ) but it was a point that we almost got out of the tour , he was yelling at us ………….
It was an excellent tour. Marcel was knowledgeable and did a fantastic job planning the day for us keeping the weather in mind. He also managed to get us a free visit inside to view mother Mary given the main facade was under construction.

Nice tour! We traveled ninety minutes to Girona, Pals, then to the beach for a late lunch. Dulce, our guide, knew quite a bit about every place that we visited. She did a great job steering us through the crowds and keeping us on track. Wander, our driver, kept us safe and did a great job navigating the traffic in and out of Barcelona.

Pick up from the hotel was great, the tour itself interesting and our guide lovely. We saw and learned a lot and the transport in a nice van was very comfortable. What I didn't like was the long lunch stop in a restaurant in a rather rural area, which was not mentioned in the program at all. I would have loved more time in Girona and the places I wanted to see, rather than spending over 1.5 hrs in a country inn that offered meat dishes only, felt not really clean and was full of flies.....

Great getting picked up at our hotel. Roberto was very prompt and knowledgeable about everything we saw during the day, including all the history for every singleplace. It was very attentive to all of our needs throughout the day and enjoyed being around him.
Our family had an amazing day with Manu!! He went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. He was a driver, history teacher, photographer, food guide, and comedian all in one. I was amazed he kept us on track and entertained all day. All three stops were beautiful and he pointed out interesting, off the beaten path points of interest at all of them.
