Girona & Costa Brava Small Group Tour From Barcelona With Paella!

Got off to a bad start which i contribute to poor planning. There was a race that closed streets, not their fault but no surprise . As a result we had to walk 1/2 hour to get the bus not counting the 10 minute walk to the meeting point. All they had to do was change the meeting point to the nearest Metro station and it would have been a 2 minute walk to the bus. POOR PLANNING The itinerary was good and our guide was good. Seems like they always let us off the bus far away adding to walking although i would admit i don’t know the rules They gave me some compensation for my issues so that was good

Great time! Definitely bring a bathing suit to swim in coasta brava! Our guide was knowledgeable and fun to be around.

Excellent change to experience three towns in Spain if you are only going to be in Barcelona for a few days. A enjoyable combination of historical places and a scenic beach town. The small group tour made the trip much more personal as compared to group tour, Our guide, Xavi, was friendly and knowledgeable. We purchased the optional lunch which we enjoyed. Although the restaurant was not a five star restaurant, the service was good and the table with an overview of the beach was a nice touch.

Well, had tour guide by the name of William. This was not a good tour. He barely explained stuff and left us by ourselves to explore. Saw other tour guides had booklets and really was explaining. Gave us a map to follow and end up getting lost. Terrible tour.

Rod was absolutely fantastic. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had the best day on this tour! If you are a Game of Thrones fan, you will love this tour even more.

Had a lovely day exploring Costa Brava with our guide Rod. We particularly enjoyed Girona and Pals. Rod was very knowledgeable about the history of each place.

Girona was beautiful with incredible history and architecture, and Costa Brava had amazing views that felt straight out of a postcard. The group size made the experience feel more personal, and the guide was knowledgeable, organized, and kept the day moving smoothly without feeling rushed. The paella was a great addition and made the experience feel authentically local. I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see more outside of Barcelona in a single day.

we didn't actually experience this tour as it was cancelled, we were called by the company and asked to switch. we did Costa Brava and the medieval castle in its place This was a great tour! Stephen our guide was amazing We did get to experience the beautiful coast, botanical gardens and a great lunch!

We had a wonderful day! My family and I loved it. Our guide was very knowledgeable about everything, gave us history lessons and answered all questions we had. Costa brava is a gem and can’t wait to return.

Rod was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable and engaging for all members of our family. He shared history lessons and insights into the modern Catalan/Spanish culture as well. Rod was flexible with timing (since it was just our family) and had great recommendations for restaurants and sights to see. I would recommend a tour with this company.

Rod is amazing and is like a walking history / fun facts encyclopaedia. Was just my friend and I but the tour still went on and we learnt a lot from him. The pace was good and will recommend this to family and friends.

Sergio is an amazing guide. First, we were late because we underestimated the time to get there. But Sergio waited for us and the other couple from America were also very forgiving. The traffic was bad getting out of Barcelona but Sergio was a good sport about it and make sure we have time in each stop. And did we say we LOVE the paella on the beach!! We had a wonderful experience!

Sergio was very kind, flexible with the schedule, and passionate about the places we visited. We would definitely take this tour again!

Travel plan was well informed. Stephen is friendly, and his driving skill is very good. We could sleep during the trip without worrying.

This tour was a great way to see some small cities, outside of Barcelona. We went during the off season (first week of Nov) and the towns were pretty empty but soooo nice to have a break from the crowds. Our tour guide was great, very knowledgable. It is a lot of drive driving (about 4 hours total in the car).

A day trip to Girrona and other small villages by the sea was a great addition to touring from the city of Barcelona. Put on your walking shoes, as you go through inclines and narrow cobble stone streets in settings from Game of Thrones in Girona….take the time to rest and have coffee before meeting your guide again to continue. The next stop is Pals….a Medieval village well preserved where you get the vibes of the time….again lots of walking with inclines but fabulous views….. Following this was costa brava….sooooo relaxing and inviting ….small coves of beaches to just relax and watch young children at play in the rocky formations…we even saw a bride and groom photographing for their wedding as we watched from an excellent restaurant having lunch.

It visits 3 interesting towns and they were worthwhile. Guide was not that engaging and there was quite a bit of driving with little Information Given during the drive.

Fantastic informative day trip out of Barcelona. Our guide Steven was very knowledgeable and knew Spanish history so well. Learnt a lot and saw and experienced small villages and the Costa Brava.

This tour was absolutely amazing! We had the best time. Nuria was our guide- and she was excellent, very knowledgeable and she booked us the most delicious spot for a paella lunch!

It was a great escape from the craziness of the city. Our guide Nuri made it a fantastic experience. She was very informative and was able to guide us through an amazing journey. Tour Guide was Great!! Our 1st time in Europe..August=Hot +A TON of steps in this excursion, ramps, hills, uneven surfaces. Bring water with you!!! I would have stayed in Costa Brava x 6 hours if I could. Perfect water temp. Bars/restaurants close.

We spent the day exploring Catalunya on an incredible tour! It was amazing to hear and feel the rich history all around us — and so cool to see a Game of Thrones filming location in real life. Huge thanks to our guide, Rod, whose animated and immersive storytelling made the experience unforgettable!

Rod was our guide and he truly made the trip our best excursion during our time in Spain. We leaved so much about Girona and costa brava and Rod was so knowledgeable about everything and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to learn and see history as well as have some time to relax on the beach in costa brava.

Parts of this were great, and parts could use some tweaking. We went in July, so it is worth noting that this might be more enjoyable if is wasn't 36C plus humidity. I wanted more *tour* and less free time. The guided tour of Girona should have been longer, even if we had cut 30mins from the beach part of the day to add a few here it would have made a big difference. By the time we did the guided tour of the city and we're given free time we had maybe 30mins and the bus was 10mins away, so you couldn't wander far. The guide had given us a map with lots to do but we felt too rushed to see most of it. The beach town was far too hot to enjoy. We spent the 2+ hours of free time trying to find shade and staying hydrated. The families in our group were excited for the beach, but we would have needed a shade umbrella to enjoy it without overheating.

Great trip to Girona and the Costa Brava. The day was nicely spaced out, with a great Paella lunch. If you get the opportunity, take a dip in the sea, it’s worth it

It was fun, I could skip the first town and would have liked more time on the beach and Girona. The guide was very nice.

It was a great experience for my daughter and I. Our tour guide Marta was very knowledgeable and personable. We visit Pals, Girona and Costa Brava. Our tickets included a Paella lunch. We were the only one in our group with that option. We were taken to a restaurant for lunch; the food was great. We then had some beach time before meeting back with the group to head to Girona.

Rod was my guide. He was so fun and knowledgeable! The tour was so lovely! We went to Girano, Pals, and Costa Brava. I would definitely book again!

Great tour! Our tour guide Enrique was knowledgeable and funny. Walked us to essential places then gave us free time to explore.

They Cancelled on me which was really disappointing, then offered me more expensive alternative… .not fun at all to have to start rebooking and looking for other option

Cam was absolutely an amazing guide! My partner and I had purchased our ticket with hotel pickup, of which a taxi was arranged for us, and arrived promptly. We arrived at the tour office 30 min prior to our meeting time and was immediately welcomed and provided insight on how our day trip would go. Afterwards. we traveled to the different areas being provided with a lot of pertinent information about the location and its' history, as Cam is completely full of knowledge and able to answer all of the questions that we had. He recommended places for us to eat and also assisted with providing the best places to take pictures in each spot. Personally, I'm not a big person on talking or holding conversations with strangers, but Cam was very easy to overcome that with. In fact, he even gave us time while driving to the different destinations to just relax, take in the views, and even sleep if we wanted without feeling the need to speak. I did not feel awkward at all, as well as he's an avid driver so there were no concerns with that either. I would recommend this tour with Cam to anyone and everyone wanting to see the country side and learn about the Catalonian culture and history. 10 out of 10 I recommend this tour!!

Our guide Berta was exceptional! She has a in-depth knowledge of the area and very flexible about specific interests we had of the area. Both towns are charming and have a deep and rich history.

This was a wonderfully organized and very special day, visiting wonderful Girona, gorgeous Pals, and then lunch on the Costa Brava. Our guide, Nuria, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and just a wonderful person to spend the day with. She was very clear with directions and gave us a wonderful recommendation for lunch at Tony’s. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.
