The runner bean tour was great! They communicated the details super well and our guide Tati was super friendly and knowledgeable. The tour included metro use which was very easy. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Barcelona!

Kathryn was great! Very informative
Walking tour was exceptional Ivan was a great tour guide very knowledgeable great pace of tour great day all in all loved every minute a must do if you visit Barcelona thanks Ivan Nd Runner bean tours
Our guide Tati was amazing. Very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful in many ways.
Excellent walking tour, learnt a lot about Gaudi with guide Tati. Enjoyed it a lot. Also got recommendations on where to eat and how to get the best transport fares
I participated in two tours, the Gaudi tour with Noah in the morning and the Gothic quarter tour with Elena in the evening. Both were excellent. I did not really get Gaudi’s art before but through Noah’s in-depth knowledge I learned to appreciate it. And Elena had so many interesting stories to share, including book recommendations related to the places that she showed us. It was truly captivating!
Great - had a good time on the tour with my family. I do recommend it……………………………………………………………………………..
We chose Runner Beans as the name jumped out when we searched, and booked in for a Gaudí walking tour in Barcelona. Lisa was at the meeting point early and kindly welcomed us along with others. The tour took in 4 Gaudi buildings, but Lisa’s knowledge was extensive about his life, works and Barcelona architectural history. Lisa was not only a guide for this tour, but also did everything she could to help us make the most of our stay in this gorgeous city. I would definitely recommend joining a Runner Beans tour.
This tour was great! Noah is a great guide and gave us great info and a better story. He also had great recommendations about places to see, eat, etc. i would highly recommend if you want a great English language tour.
Lisa was a PHENOMENAL guide! She is an expatriate who knows Barcelona very well. The tour group was very small and it's possible that it could be cancelled. Instead, we got very personalized service, which was quite appreciated. Lisa explained Gaudi's roots and his work in Barcelona as well as that of his contemporaries. The tour covers a lot of ground so there is a bit of walking and even a metro ride, for which buying tickets and getting on-and-off was guided by Lisa. Given her non-Spanish roots, she can relate Barcelona to an international audience from different perspectives. The tour ends at Sagrada Familia where Lisa filled us on the construction and some of the external features. Definitely recommend!
Katharyn was wonderful! My sisters and I planned this tour for our mother’s 75th birthday. Our guide was accommodating, informative, and so thoughtful and insightful. We enjoyed every aspect of the tour and agreed it was our best day in Barcelona!
Lisa was wonderful and careful to make all feel included. She went over the scheduled 2 1/2 hours because she answered every question in detail. Lisa recommended a terrific restaurant near La Sagrada Família where we had a delicious lunch (Bendita). Thank you for everything.
Fantastic! Julie was an excellent communicator, and very patient with our relentless questions. Tour covered so many places, and we all learned a full history of Gaudi, his buildings, and also of the history of Barcelona. Well done, Julie!
an exceptional tour w/ Javier. so knowledgeable and helpful. saw la Pedrera & sagrada familia both. escorted me to & from my hotel. worth every penny!!
Julia was an amazing tour guide, she might be small but she's mighty and funny! Had an amazing time in Barcelona and this was one of highlights of my trip. Highly recommend!
Super passionate guide who explains Gaudi’s work very well
The tour was very informative in covering the timeline of Gaudi’s career from the lamp posts in Place Reial to Sagrada Família. Julie kept the tour at a good pace while covering the travel over the large distance involved. One can learn a lot about many of the details on the Sagrada Família Facades from her without purchasing the entrance ticket to the SAGRADA Familia.
Diana was an outstanding guide for my wife and I. ~4hour walking tour of Gothic area and than short cab ride to Sagrada Família which is must go for everyone. Descriptions and pictures don’t do it justice.
Lisa is a great guide! Very knowledgeable and personable. We learned so much! Recommend!
Great tour. Noah was an awesome guide. Do this tour before visiting Sagrada Família to learn more about Gaudi - an amazing man.
We did another tour of the gothic area with another company. This tour was so much better. You pay what you feel the tour was worth and it was EXTREMELY GOOD. I just came across this company through searching. Most other tour company's come up first but this was the best tour with an extremely knowledgeable, fun , friendly guide. We learnt so much and saw 'hidden' things that we otherwise would have missed. I wish we'd known about this company for our tours.
We secured a booking with Runner Bean Tours for an introduction to Gaudi and we are sure glad that we did. Our guide, Ivan, was amazing! He knew so much about Gaudi's life and also about each place we stopped! I was also impressed with the organization of Runner Bean Tours. Emails were detailed with directions and reminders and everything ran like clockwork. I could not have asked for a better tour. If you want to learn about Gaudi, this is the tour company to use!
Noah was excellent. Well versed in his subject matter and good clarity and oration. Highly recommend.
A walking tour with some metro travel. Metro tickets need to be purchased to continue with the tour. Our guide, Noah, made sure no one was left behind. He help everyone negotiate the machine to purchase metro tickets and advised which tickets work best for value, e.g. family tickets for multi person/multi use. He counted the group at every stage and made sure we had a 'comfort break' mid tour.
We have been here multiple times however this was our first time using this tour platform. We were blown away by Katherine’s knowledge and friendliness during
We had a great and very informative tour with our guide Noah Levin. We learned a lot about history of Barcelona and Gaudi buildings. Unfortunately, the Tripadvisor doesn't allow giving more than five stars, Noah deserved more. But luckily for us, when we went on the Gothic tour four days later, we met Noah again and spent another two and a half hours with him—and that tour was just as great as the first. He also gave us some tips on where to eat and places to visit.
A very friendly, and knowledgeable guide, Noah. He covered much more than what meets the eye: not only architecture, history, and Gaudi's personal life but also explanation of greek mythology in connection with Gaudi, and stories about patrons. He was considerate and chatty and fun!
We signed up for the Gothic walking tour but when we arrived at the meeting point we were offered to switch to the Gaudi & Sagrada Família tour with Noah. We were glad we did. Noah is a wonderful guide who is very knowledgeable about each of the sites on our tour. We learnt so much about the history and architecture of the various Gaudi buildings. The tour was well organized. Noah helped each of us navigate the public transportation system as moved to the various sites. We will diffidently chose Runner Bean Tours the next we are back in Barcelona.
The tour was a great experience where you not only learn about the buildings, but also about the life of Gaudi. There was actually much better info on this tour than what we got from the official Sagrada Familia guided tour. This tour is a tip-paid tour, and it was exceptional value. You walk around a bit and also take the subway for small trips 2x, which you pay your own way. I cannot recommend this enough.
Lisa was a great tour guide- animated, engaging, and interesting. It was super fun to visit the 4 examples of Gaudi in succession so that you could compare them. Definitely plan to purchase tickets to tour at least one of the homes to revisit later.
The tour was amazing. Noah was from the U.S. and he was very knowledgeable about Gaudi. He offered a lot of free information at the end of the tour with a QR code…tips on where to eat and places to visit.
Great experience and we got to know lot more about Gaudi, his life and his great works. Truly recommend. Our guide, Noah, made for us an awesome time in Barcelona.
I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Gaudí buildings in Barcelona. Our guide, Julie was amazing. She was welcoming, inclusive and extremely knowledgeable. I thoroughly recommend this immersive, informative and fun experience of Gaudi, his life and his incredible architecture. Thank-you, Julie!
Our tour guide, Tati, was beyond excellent. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable, but she also had the ability to deliver the information in a very relaxed way. We covered a lot of ground in just a few hours. I can’t say enough nice things about this experience.
Noah Levin was an excellent tour leader. He was funny & informative and the pace was just right. Great experience!
Be prepared to walk and/or stand for a little over 2 hours. Our guide was well informed and his narrative was well developed to hold our attention.
We joined the tour with the interesting, competent, friendly and funny tour guide Kathlyn. To see the Gaudi buildings with all the facts we got told was a good experience. We had two rides with the Metro in between. We were two out of seven in the group. That worked perfectly.
Fantastic tour of Gaudí’s work around Barcelona with Julie. Like wandering around with a group of friends. Really knowledgeable and engaging guide, we would highly recommend Runner Bean. Great background for our tour of Sagrada Família in the afternoon but thought that Julie actually did a better job of supplying the context of life in Barcelona during Gaudí’s time. Just brilliant!
My sister and I had a great time on our tour. Our guide Lisa, was very knowledgeable and friendly. A great time and would highly recommend the Gaudi walking tour.
Lucky us! We had Julie all to ourselves on a beautiful January day. Disappointing for our tour-guide that she only had two guests, but she certainly did not show it. She was amazing and treated us to a lively, personalized experience that we truly appreciated! Thank you, Julie. You were a superstar.
Learnt a lot about Gaudi and other architects. Julie was very knowledgeable and encouraged questions. Highly recommended.
If you're lucky enough to get Tati as your tour guide you've hit the jackpot. She is smart, witty and knowledgeable about all the history of Gaudi's famous buildings and a few other gems about the man himself. She taught us how to navigate the metro system and how not to complain about the rain. Spectacular experience. Don't forget a generous at the end!
We had a great experience with Julie last week. We enjoyed the tour very much. It was one of the best experiences during the trip to Barcelona. We visited as a family of four. Julie was very knowledgeable, spoke clearly, and explained everything very well. I would strongly recommend this tour.
We had a wonderful experience with Lisa. It was just me and my husband in the group. We did the Gaudi tour. Lisa was very very good and clearly enjoyed sharing her knowledge about all things Gaudi and Sagrada Familia with us and gave us lot of tips on Barcelona
Starting with the info I received explaining exactly where to meet, and the actual small group tour with Julie, this was a wonderful experience for my husband and me. Julie was very knowledgeable and had interesting information to share regarding Gaudi and Sagrada. Julie was also conscientious regarding my hearing loss and continually checked that I was hearing okay. Well done, Julie and Runner Bean tours.
Catherine our guy was amazing. She was very friendly very helpful. Very knowledgeable would definitely go on her tour again.
The tour was amazing. The tour guide was really passionate and informative. We really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it to first and even returning visitors 🤩
Ivan was a terrific guide and we really appreciated all of the information he shared about Gaudi and his spectacular buildings -- Very interesting!
Lisa did an excellent job as our guide to Gaudi architecture in Barcelona. She was very enthusiastic and informative about the subject.
Highly recommend Runner Bean Tours Barcelona! We took 2 tours and both were excellent. On the Gothic Tour, Noah was knowledgeable, funny, entertaining and a wealth of information. I wish we had done this tour earlier in our visit. On the Gaudi Tour with Julie, we got a great overview of Gaudi and the sites. Helped us work through which we would visit!
