This was a wonderful trip. Our tour guide Sergi was extremely knowledgeable, but didn’t overwhelm us with information. I highly recommend this trip. It was one of our favorites!

Departure & Return
Departure Point
- Explore Catalunya Office. We are located in a little alley between the Palau de la Música building and Via Laietana, opposite the Palau de la Música's cafeteria.
Return
- Depending on the size of your group, and the traffic conditions on the day of the tour, you will return either to the main office or to Place Catalunya, which is just an easy 3-5 minute walk away.
Itinerary
7:00am. Meet your guide at the Explore Catalunya office, directly opposite the Palau de la Música. Your guide presents the day on a map so you know exactly where you're headed.
8.00am - The first leg of the journey takes you past the dramatic scenery of Montserrat. This iconic mountain stands out dramatically against the skyline as we head to France and Andorra.
8.45am - Arrive in this beautifully preserved medieval village at the gateway to the Pyrenees. Guided walk through cobbled streets and the ancient square. Time for coffee and a pastry before continuing north through the Tunnel del Cadí into France.
10.25am Carrefour de UR, France (20–25 min). A mountain supermarket unlike any other — ski gondolas, a bear at the entrance, a piano, tractors, and some of the finest French produce you'll find outside Paris. Your guide will have already told you what to look for. Time is short — don't miss the bus.
11.00am La Tour de Querol, France — (35 min). A quiet French village with a remarkable story. This is Catalunya Nord — the part of Catalonia that became France in 1659 following the Treaty of the Pyrenees. Your guide brings it to life.
11.35am - We take the mountain road, not the tunnel. Climbing to the highest paved road (2,408 metres) in the Pyrenees, the views open up across the high alpine landscape before Andorra appears far below. We cross the border into Andorra. Now is the time to get that unique Andorra Passport Stamp.
1.00pm - Join your guide for a short walking tour of the historic centre. Two full hours to explore at your own pace — tax-free shopping, lunch, or simply wandering. Meet at at 3:00pm sharp. This will be our last stop of the day, but you will have enough time to do a little bit of duty free shopping, grab a quick bargain or walk around its old stone streets and houses. At about 3:45pm, we will return to the bus and head back to Barcelona via a different route. This drive takes you through dramatic gorges, past verdant farming land, and alongside lakes and rivers, before the landscape levels out and the lush tones of green of the fields and the shining grey of the mountain rocks are replaced by the dusty orange and brown hues of this arid landscape. You will stop enroute for a chance to stretch your legs and quench your thirst, before arriving back in town at about 7:30pm
6.00pm-6.30pm. Return to central Barcelona. Guide offers dinner recommendations.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour to see Andorra primarily. The bus was very comfortable, and it was a small group.
The guide was very knowledgeable and thorough. She brought us through the cathedral and was very helpful. Palma was beautiful.
Alex was the best tour guide. He was so informative and funny.
It is difficult to find the meeting site. Leave twice as much time as you are told to find it. Not all taxis know where the music center is and none know where the cafeteria is located.
Alex was our tour guide and he was fantastic. He was very friendly and patient, and he provided us a lot of information on WhatsApp throughout the day, and the tour was at a very good pace for everybody.
A definite 5 star day! Alex, our tour guide was one of the best guides ever! He had incredible knowledge of the areas we traveled to, was friendly and fun, and had a great sense of humor. His What’s App tour info provided throughout the day really enhanced the tour as well. Big thumb’s up for this tour and for Alex!
The guide, driver, comfort, rest stops, and scenery were all fantastic. The setting of Andorra La Valle is beautiful however, it is actually a high end outdoor shopping experience. I would like to have stopped at one of the lesser known, smaller parishes.
A long but rewarding day and well worth the early start. Our guide Alex was excellent, very knowledgeable funny and charming throughout the day and provided us a thorough commentry of the region we passed through. Our comfort stops were timely providing us with interesting and informative local breaks and shopping opportunities. A most enjoyable day. As a fairly fit octegenarian I was very impressed . Thank you all.
A very nice one day trip to Andorra . Also a stop in Baga a middle age village and in France in La tour de Carol . Alex was nice guide gave us all details about history . Highly recommended!
This tour is amazing. The guide is well schooled in the pertinent history and entertaining. It’s a perfect balance of walking tour with local history and enough free time to explore alone for an enriched experience.
Rod was great! Learned in an entertaining and fun way. Beautiful drive and nice stops. Mainly went to see Andorra but enjoyed it all. (Would like to see Montserrat & Andorra tour)
We had Rebecca as our guide and Raul was our driver. They were both wonderful! I would definitely recommend this tour and Rebecca. She was very friendly and informative and her English is perfect. Thanks for a great day.
We had an absolutely wonderful time! The trip was perfectly organized, enjoyable, and memorable. Rebecca was an outstanding guide, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and full of positive energy, as well as our driver Raul who kept us safe and on time. Her passion and enthusiasm made the experience even more special, and she went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. They truly made our trip unforgettable!
The tour was a bit fast for us. The tour guide is very knowledgeable, high energy . I wish we have more time to explored Andorra.
Excellent day trip to France and Andorra. Our guide Sergi (sp) was fantastic. Knowledgeable, funny and very helpful. Scenery was spectacular. Great overall trip. Would highly recommend.
We had a great day on this tour , the time spent in each place is sufficient to see what each has to offer.
A long and exciting day for sure. Well worth the early rise!!!! Very interesting seeing Andorra and all the little towns on the way. A great tour !!!!
It was a good experience to explore and travel with this trip even it was long but it going beautiful!
Our guide waswonderful, but I expected more than a stop at a supermarket in France. The stop in Baga was very nice on our way out of Spain but disappointed we didn't go more into the countryside rather a large city in Andorra. Nice city center but the beautiful country and small villages are more what I like. Overall a nice day out just not what I expected.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Experience Beyond Expectations! What an absolutely incredible experience! Everything exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. A very special thank you to Alex, our amazing tour guide, and David, our excellent driver, for making this adventure truly unforgettable. Alex’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and professionalism made every stop special, while David ensured a safe, smooth, and comfortable journey throughout the day. Both went above and beyond to make this an exceptional experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better team! Highly recommended! Truly a five-star experience that exceeded all expectations!
Amazing amount seen and learned in just a short time with minimal discomfort. Guide gave clear and complete directions.
Loved the small villages in the Pyrenees Wasn’t aware that Andorra is a shopping haven that looks like a major mall in downtown
A great tour of these beautiful countries. Alex was a fantastic tour guide very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend this tour.
Alex was an excellent tour guide and George a fantastic bus driver. We were treated to history, unique spots along the way, good recommendations, humor and reconciliation of our needs. We enjoyed the day and getting our passports “stamped.” Fantastic day thank you 🙏
Nuria was a great guide! She was very organized, informative, and helpful. She gave us lots of suggestions and tips for Barcelona. Andorra was the highlight of the trip!
I’m so happy we booked this tour. Stephen was a wonderful guide who answered all questions along the way. He was very friendly and kept everyone in the bus engaged and entertained.
Long day but it was a beautiful day, started with some rain, end up to be a very nice sunny day, really enjoyed my time
This tour was fun and interesting. I had a great experience with our guide Arnau who was friendly and helpful.
Alex was a top notch tour guide. He had wide knowledge of the area, he was kind, he was prepared lending a charge cord out, and he kept the group moving in a polite persuasive gentle way. The pace was well planned and he made the best of dreary weather.
It was a good experience and beautiful to explore this places.
Got to explore some very cute towns. Guide had some great suggestions for food.
Rod was perhaps the best guide I have experienced. Extremely knowledgeable, gave us an excellent history of Catalonia and how it translated to all the towns we visited. Super informative and did it with a sense of humor and even entertaining sound effect. I recommend him to everyone.
We had a fun throughout trip, but we wish we had more time in Andorra. After going through shopping places, we did not have enough time to eat
Excellent tour with GREAT TOUR GUIDE. A different look at the surrounding area near Barcelona. This tour is worth the money
David was our driver and the incredible Nu was our tour guide, from start to finish it was a great craic as us Irish would say. We were a bit unsure of it being a long day's travel but it really didnt feel like that all thanks to Nu and David. Would highly recommend it for anyone looking for value for money and a knowledgeable guide. Marie & Catriona (Ireland)
A very well organised and enjoyable tour that gave us the opportunity to see some interesting sights in France and also tick Andorra off the countries visited list!! Xavi was a great guide - the perfect mix of information, humour and peaceful time. Gave very clear instructions regarding meeting points and times which is very important. Our driver David(?) cooed very well with small twisting roads , the mountains and expressway to get us there and back in safety and comfort. Highly recommended
Absolutely amazing experience, met some wonderful people, saw some amazing views and did many amazing things. Would definitely recommend for solo and groups
I knew going into this tour that it would be long and that much of the day would be spent in the bus. I was prepared for that and have done similarly long tours in the past that I've enjoyed. However, this tour was SO BORING. The scenery out the window is beautiful, which is great, but ultimately the stops you make along the way are a whole lotta nothing. You only get 2 hours in Andorra and that time is spent in a literal mall. Overall, it was so sooooo disappointing. Our guide did nothing to elevate the experience or make it interesting at all. She barely provided any info at all, in fact. I encourage anyone considering this tour to pay attention to the photos others have shared. You'll notice they're all of the same bridge and the same clock statue and that's because that's all there is to see during your brief stop in Andorra! You only have so much time to spend in Barcelona and this eats up a whole day of your stay. It is simply not a good investment of time when there are so many better things to do. The best thing I can say about this tour is that we got back a whole hour+ earlier than stated. While normally I'd feel slighted by the shorter timeframe, this was one time when I was thankful to simply have it be over with already.
This was a very good tour. It is a long day but we travelled to the south of France and Andorra. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information and recommendations.
My daughter and I had the best time! Shout-out to our driver Raul and our tour guide Alex! Alex was a really good tour guide. He was funny and very informative. He also made sure everyone was always safe. He even acted like a crossing guard whenever we had to cross a street! Thank u Raul and Alex!
It was pretty good. Bus was comfortable. Stopped at a small town and unsure why, was a waste of time as it was a minute away from a comfort stop. Baga and Andorra were interesting.
We had a very nice experience Pablo, our guide, was knowledgeable, very friendly and kind. We felt safe and comfortable on the bus and with our driver on the mountain roads. The stops in Bagà, Latour-de-Carol, and Andorra la Vella were amazing. And the views through the Pyrénées is priceless. Thank you so much, Pablo, for a wonderful experience!
Town of Bagà was very interesting. A true medieval town. Knowledgeable guide. Multiple stops. Relaxing between stops.
Pros- you got to see a lot of the landscape and some old towns. Andorra is beautiful. The guides were great. Met some great friends on the trip. Con’s- they are trying to fit too much into one. You stop in the first town you come to in France where there really isn’t anything. It’s really just a stop to say you stopped in France. I feel like one of the towns after in France would have been better. You have very limited time in each place. By the time we got to Andorra we had two hrs of time. We ate since we hadn’t had the chance yet and that took an hour. Then we had an hour an hour to explore. I would have much rather just skipped both other stops and had a lot more time in Andorra. The other two stops are more gimmicky just to say you stopped in three countries. If they want to keep the same itinerary, I’d say just lengthen the trip a little. Charge a little more, and go that way. We all wanted more time in Andorra.
Great way to spend the afternoon in Andorra. There isn’t much to do, but if checking Andorra off your list is a must, this is the tour for you. Carmen was a great guide. Ample rest stops. Carmen was very informative and accommodating.
The experience was a 10/10 Great tutor and driver was amazing Beautiful views great views, best guide in tow
I highly recommend this trip to see Andorra. It’s a great way to explore the country. The tour guide and the driver were great.
It was a very interesting experience considering the distance traveled and countries visited. We had about two to three hours on our own in Andorra, which was just enough time to grab lunch and walk through the central, most touristy streets. The place looks and feels relatively safe compared to other European countries.
Great tour. Our guide Alex was excellent. He made the day very enjoyable and he has the right temperament for the job. I also liked that we stopped all along the way in some smaller towns. Very pleasant day trip.
