Itinerary
This self-guided audio tour begins on the Boardwalk in front of Pic Nic beach bar. You'll hear a bit about the history of Sitges and about how we work before getting started.
As you walk along Platja de la Ribera on the boardwalk, you'll hear some of Sitges’ centuries-old history.
While passing by the Monumento a Bacardi (the monument to Bacardi), you'll learn how Facundo Bacardi Masso, of Bacardi Rum fame and a Sitgetan, invented the first white rum in the world.
The tour passes by Xiringuito, the first beach bar in Spain.
On this tour, you'll hear about Baluard Plaza, the imposing structure from where the military defended the town in the 1700s.
On this tour, you'll see the most photographed site in Sitges, the Church of St Bartholomew and Saint Tecla
On this tour, you'll have the opportunity to marvel at Palau De Maricel, a magnificent building set up to attract even more artists to the town.
Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to look at some of the prominent galleries and museums including Museu de Maricel, and hear how this artistic movement and its members helped to shape the Sitges that you can see today.
You'll pass by Museu Del Cau Ferrat on this tour, the home of Catalan Modernist movement leader, Santiago Rusinol.
You'll pass by the monument of Santiago Rusinol. You'll hear a couple of stories about the hedonistic lifestyle of artist Santiago Rusinol, who was key to Catalan Modernism in Sitge.
On this tour, you can look forward to strolling through Cap de la Vila plaza, an area once known as “the end of the village” and now part of the town’s centre.

The tour was well organized. Narration was starting exactly when I reached the place that was described. It was fun, informative, yet - not overwhelming. Recommend to anybody visiting Sitges. Will explore the other tours from this web site.
First time using an online self guided tour, great value. Fantastic way to learn and explore a location at your own pace. Was easy to get side tracked but the technology worked great and very easy to follow the route. It would pick up where you left off if you stopped along the way which was great. Wasn’t too long to become boring and info was well presented. Also liked that you could go back and re-listen. Well worth it !
The tour hit highlights of Sitges and was just the right amount of walking and climbing stairs for us. We chose to do it later in the day when it was a little cooler. Some of the statutes are explained along with the history. We found it informative.
The audio and directions on the self guided tour were awesome. The guide was witty and fun to listen to and kept the tour interesting.
Brilliantly done! So simple to use - and very well presented by John. Exactly what we’d hoped for. Just enough insight of recent and far off history
Really interesting and brilliantly presented by John. Exactly what we were looking for. Just enough insight into the past both far off and recent.
A great tour of Saxman Indian Village by our tour guide Gavin H. Gavin was very knowledgeable of how totem poles are made and the stories behind each of them. Informative and entertaining dance display.
A very interesting tour with an easy to listen to tour guide. The app is geo-aware and that made it very easy to use. It was a very pleasant experience and I will be looking for other products from this vendor.
Fabulous walking tour that got us to an area we would not have found and it was our favorite! Interesting history I would never have known.
A great way to see parts of Sitges you would normally get to see. Definitely worth a go, finding out lots of interesting facts on the way and some lovely small independent shops. If you like gin would highly recommend the Pao De Stiges Gin
Excellent! See the beautiful Sitges on your own time. Wonderful orator, easy to use app. Clear concise and good length of time to walk!
Very insightful great tour friends visit to sitges lovely place lovely historic town with LGBTQ Inclusive freedom and respected in this amazing place 🏳️🌈✨️👑👑👑👑
Great tour - GPS worked fine - so many great facts- love the fact you can go at your own pace - would definitely recommend for those who want to know more about Sitges and its history.
So much better than a guided tour. Could stop and pause for a drink when we wanted! The self guided tour pointed out many sites of interest that we wouldn’t have noticed. Loved it. Fun too!
Excellent app. I couldn’t find a free walking tour and came across this. Glad I did, I’ve learnt so much.
This is a great introduction to Sitges. Easy to follow unlike other tours I have done on my Spain visit this time. Well worth the $10!
I was a bit skeptical at first, but the whole experience was smooth and the tour was interesting. It was nice to be able to stop and shop, eat or dink whenever it caught your fancy. Good info in the narration, easy to follow directions, and very well paced. I would use this service again!
Too bad it was something completely different! As has been a twenty-year tradition, we returned to Sitges for a holiday period but, sadly, we will not return again, here are the reasons: unkempt town, the streets and seafront are not cleaned, beaches reduced to a minimum and no longer clean with services non-existent and absurd prices for what they offer you, the decline had already begun a couple of years ago but has now been totally declaimed, too bad it was a completely different thing in the past, well-kept greenery, daily cleaning of the streets, wide beaches as every year the missing sand, and prices appropriate to the services. All this is gone now, so you say goodbye!!!!
Nice town. However, it is one of the places where life is most expensive.... Beautiful facades of houses (say Americans) in the city center. Try to find parking spaces marked in blue outside the center, because the parking is expensive. (Example: 5h = 23€) The plans provided by the tourist office are not very clear. Too bad...
