David did a fabulous job showing us the sites and history of the area! Thoroughly enjoyed the tour! His taste in music was awesome too ☺️

Itinerary
Continue to Santa Cecília, a former Benedictine monastery that is today a mountain shelter and a great example of early Catalan Romanesque architecture. Enjoy a short stop here to learn interesting facts about the history of the region, as how the monks influenced the farming and the gastronomic traditions. As you listen to your guide, sample locally grown treats like almonds, peaches, honey or home-cured meats, depending on the season.
Next, relax on the drive around Montserrat and discover the south face of the mountain, which has a different climate and landscape from the north side, making it ideal for olive trees and vines. Get closer to nature as you leave your minivan and follow your guide through a path between fields of olive trees.
Arrive at a 16th-century farmhouse, originally the property of the Monastery of Montserrat. Visit the farmhouse's old olive mill and the medieval water tanks, and learn about olive oil pressing and the different types of olive oil. Sample some of these, then enjoy a traditional lunch of products grown at the farm (upgrade your experience by traveling on a Sunday, where the menu features typical local Catalan dishes)
After lunch, head to the Penedés, a vibrant wine region known for its production of cava (Catalan sparkling wine). Stop at a local winery, where you will learn how cava is made on a guided tour of the winery's underground cellars and barreling room, and finish with a tasting of four different types of cava and wine.
Then sit comfortably in your minivan and admire views of the landscape on your way back to Barcelona.

This was our favorite part of the trip! Our tour guide Enrique took care of everything. Delicious food with picturesque scenery and amazing winery tour. Everything was perfect! Will definitely use this company again for other trips.
My husband, me and our 21 yo daughter went on this trip. We had a great time with henrick as our tour guide. We started with breakfast and a tour of the market. Then made a quick stop in tibidabo, then off to a family run olive/ oil making spot, lunch, then finished with a wine tour. It was a packed day that we all thoroughly enjoyed. We would highly recommend. We ate, drank, laughed and learned a lot.
What a wonderful way to experience a traditional meal. Strangers become friends, the paella was delicious, and Simon was fabulous. I learned so much about what goes into a traditional paella. I highly recommend this.
Rod was an excellent guide. His expansive knowledge across multiple topics was very informative. The tour was comprised of diverse stops which provided a well rounded experience. Rod was very accommodating - adapting to our requests and proactive in identifying stops that would interest us. All of this, made for an excellent day. Highly recommend Rod and this tour.
Everything was wonderful, Rodrigo was a excellent guide and all 3 wineries were different in there own way, super friendly. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Lunch was also very good!
Was a wonderful tour highly recommend. Each winery was a different experience. Felt incredibly welcome. Our guide Rodrigo, was fantastic.
OK, if you care anything about Barcelona's food and wine scene and you know you do. Hire Berta to take you on this tour. She was amazing! Our only complaint was we ate too much!
Wine yards were amazing. The toir guide , awesome! The linch was Horrible ! Unexpectedly and unacceptably bad! Suggest to change it to some other one.
Such a fun tour with excellent guides. You should definitely come hungry because they are sure to provide lots of food options and great views of Catalunya.
The tour was outstanding: the sights, the food, the wine and learning about the history and culture of Catalunya from a wonderful guide, Jordy. Getting out of the city and eating at authentic restaurants was a great opportunity. Jordy gave us wonderful perspective on the food, the culture, the wine, the history, sports, etc. It was definitely the best tour I have taken.
We had an excellent say with our tour guide, learning about the culture and sights of Barcelona. We enjoyed breakfast, which was kind of a DIY experience, but it was one that we can take back home. Lunch was also really good and the service was excellent. The smells were amazing. The winery tour was very informative and just all around great. We had a great time and would definitely go on another tour!
My wife and I booked this trip and what a great decision it was. My wife has celiac and we were unsure how much food she would be able to enjoy, but Feliciano our amazing tour guide also is celiac and immediately washed away our fears as we knew we were in good hands. To begin with, we were the only ones to book this tour on this particular day and were treated to a private tour. Feliciano felt less of a guide, and more of a travel companion as we all shared stories about our lives and travels. The traditional catalan breakfast was a treat, Monserrat was a nice escape, the lunch in the hills was breathtaking and the food amazing, and the wine tour was very interesting and they even catered to a specific request on tasting an expensive bottle! Long story short, Feliciano was an amazing guide and the itinerary was well planned. Recommend highly.
Tour guide, Isi, showed my daughter and I, along with a couple from Texas, a fabulous day!!! He was informative and fun! The day included traditional Spanish food with wine in some locations we would not have found on our own. The lunch spot was particularly extra special, full of locals enjoying a beautiful afternoon in the mountains. We visited the monastery in the hillside of Monsterat which was, in my opinion, an architectural wonder with stunning views of the area!!! Highly recommend!!!
Without a doubt, today was the best day of our stay in Barcelona. Our tour host (Rodrigo) es una persona exceptional! His friendliness and historical knowledge provided for an incredibly memorable trip around the beautiful areas of Catalunya. The wonderful sights, the local dining establishments and the interactions with the Catalonian people were priceless. A "Must-Do" on your agenda..... Muchas Graicias Rodrigo y espero volver a verte. My two friends and I had the privilege of spending the day with Rodrigo, a charming and very informative guide, through the country roads of Catalunya. We ate the most delicious food at family run restaurants and finished the tour at a fantastic winery, where all the wines we tasted were spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire day, but what made it so fabulous was the wonderful guide we had. We loved chatting with you, you were much more than a guide, you treated us like your friends and this tour quickly became the highlight of our trip to Barcelona. Thank you so much Rodrigo.

This tour is a must! The entire day was filled with food wine and breathtaking views. Anna was awesome

This tour was the highlight of our Barcelona 3 day stay. Our tour guide “Rob” was beyond amazing. He was able to personalize this tour despite the constant rain and modify it to include a tour of the local market and explaining the local customs and history on our way to the greatest local breakfast ever, far from the tourist traps that are so common. Our trip through the countryside was extremely informative despite not being able to wander the olive groves and vineyards due to the rain. Lunch was nothing short of spectacular and we were made to feel like dignitaries at the local restaurant. A perfect day was capped off at a small family run winery with multiple tasting of wines we would ever be able to try in the US. The winery was rustic and yet very modern in the way of producing wines in a most unique manner. I can’t recommend this tour more highly.

The highlight of our time in Spain. Originally booked at the beginning of our trip, we had to move our tour to the end of our time in Spain. Our tour guide was Joseph, whose infectious enthusiasm for Barcelona and Spain, really made the experience for us. The tour begins with breakfast in a small mountain town w/ a breathtaking view of Montserrat. Pro tip - they make their own gin and honey! Buy some and you won't regret it! One of my favorite stops was at Vinya Nova for lunch and olive oil tasting. My biggest regret from my trip was not purchasing olive oil from this restaurant! The depth of flavor and golden almost buttery quality was unmatched in other olive oils I had tasted previously. I am still trying to convince people to go to Barcelona, take this tour.. and snatch me a couple of bottles! The tour is definitely a full day event, but one of the highlights of our total European adventure.

Great day great food and great guide what more could you ask for, even threw in a cooking lesson not that it really involved cooking. We were taught the spainish way of making bruschetta. Fun trip and being small everyone seemed to get along and enjoy the day

We reserved and paid for a van for our tour but were forced to take a car. There were 4 large adults and traveling in the car was very uncomfortable. We complained about the vehicle before we departed but were told we had to take the car, instead of a van, or lose our money. What would have probably been a very enjoyable tour turned out to be a total disappointment. I recommend against taking this tour or using this tour company as customer service is not their strong point.

I was fortunate enough to Josep as my tour guide and we got a private tour for two in a jaguar. Josep was an amazing tour guide who provided history and laughter. This was one of my favorite tours while we stayed in Barcelona. We had second breakfast at the cutest restaurant and the cuisine was fantastic. The visit to Monserrat was such a breathtaking experience and a spiritual one as well. The lunch prior to the winery visit was a culinary experience that we will never forget. I am still thinking about the codfish salad, paellla, coconut flan and of course the wine. The winery was also a treat because the wine was delicious and there was shipping available back to the US. I would say if you are lucky enough to have a tour with Josep, please make sure you do! If I could give him additional stars, I would.

Lovely day but the itinerary was quite different than described. Changing things up without any notice is not a great marketing plan.

We had a great day and our guide took us all the way up to Montserrat. Spectacular views! She was very helpful and told a lot of facts. We visited a bio/organic winery but didn't like their wine. Highlight was the lunch at the olive farm which was outstanding and best meal while in Barcelona.

We had a truly memorable day hosted by Joseph. First a lovely second breakfast on the way to Montserrat, where we had just the right amount of time to see the sights. The countryside we travelled through was pretty, and lunch in the foothills of Montserrat at Vinya Nova was exceptional. The final stop was a winery tour and tasting at Pares Balta which was interesting, but a little long on a hot day. For food and wine travellers this is a must do.

The best part of this was that, since there were only 4 people one couple, myself and the tour guide, it was very versatile. We had a fabulous breakfast, some really great chatting along the road, thought about doing a short detour to Montserrat, but turned back once we saw the car traffic, had an amazing lunch come really, really hungry and ended the day with some absolutely amazing wines!

5/5 would absolutely recommend!

Our tour guide was Azzi and he was super personable and knowledgeable. We had a traditional breakfast, toured country side and then lunch and winery tour. We saw alot of the natural beauty of Barcelona and was a great relaxing day

This was just a wonderful experience. Tour guide was very engaging and fun. There really is a lot of food and drinks, so come hungry.

Fantastic day out with an engaging, knowledgeable guide. We especially enjoyed eating in authentic local establishments and feeling off the beaten track
food was excellent, as was the scenery and the wine tasting!!
all six of us agreed it was a highlight of our Barcelona trip and gave us a different perspective than just sitting in the city. Well worth the day out!

We had a wonderful starting with a traditional breakfast of meats, cheese, country bread, tomato and of course wine. We then took a scenic tour including picking a few local wild berries along the way. The guide was fantastic, the food was fantastic and the scenery was beautiful. We love going to Barcelona and have been many times so it was wonderful to take a leisurely drive into the country and see how the locals live daily lives.

This was a super fun trip! A group of us went together and had a wonderful day filled with wine from the porron! Thought this was supposed to include a stop for olive oil tasting and also a sampling of local meats/nuts/honey which didn't exactly happen but we did get a big lunch that wasn't expected

Such a great tour! My girlfriend and I had an amazing time!

This smallish tour was everything we hoped for. Fabulous, knowledgeable guide sharing intimate food and wine experiences. One of the best things we did in Spain.

El viaje fue mui fantastico!!!!! Wonderful day trip, very entertaining guide, great food, good wine, lots of laughs! Highly recommend!

Our day with Joesef far exceeded our expectations. The cultural foods experience at breakfast and lunch was superior. The winery tour and wine/cava tasting was exceptional. We loved every minute of the day and the 10 hours spent with Josef flew by. If you love food, wine, history and natural beauty, you won't want to miss this experience.

This was an amazing experience and highly recommend it to all. To start off with wine for breakfast was pretty cool- cant complain all the food was good. Really enjoyed the winery tour I made sure to purchase some wine and olive oil.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food and wine tour north of Barcelona! We loved learning about the region and seeing many of the sights Montserrat, etc while traveling through the region. Our guide was knowledgeable and obviously has a love for the region and his heritage. He made the travel time very informative also.

Wonderful tour. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, the tour guide was outstanding and the wine tour and tasting at the end of the day was the perfect ending.

This was a fantastic day. Feliciano was a fabulous tour guide and looked after our group very well. Great food, great wine, great company. Highly recommended.

We would like to say that this trip was the icing on the cake for our final tour before leaving Barcelona.
We were met by a very interesting, knowledgeable and friendly to guide called Felicimo.

From the start to end of our wine tasting experience Felicimo was at being to share additional information to us regarding the surrounding areas we passed through.
Felicimo first stop was to a amazing restaurant Emma local farming area which produces local produce for the restaurant and the village. The owner was also amazing Who was friendly and happy to talk to us guarding the local produce.
We were ahead of schedule therefore Felicimo was able to offer us a unexpected stop at Montserrat Monastery, again this was amazing experience unexpected. We then made our way to a amazing restaurant for lunch. The owners of the restaurant was welcoming the food was fabulous.

I want tasting experience at the winery was amazing the attention to detail and information they provided was 2nd to none.
We even had a couple of boxes of Carver and red wine shipped back home.

We would highly recommend this Wine tasting experience and hope that you get Felicimo is your tour guide. This wine tasting experience has been planned to attention to detail excellent timing.
We would deafly do this to again when we return.

We loved our day in the mountains north of Barcelona! All of the food and wine experiences were excellent. Our guide, Josep, was very knowledgeable and fun to be with. He has a passion for the region and the traditions and it was fun to learn about them. We enjoyed the tomato bread and learning about the 0 km farming. The time in the Parre Balta winery was excellent also. Our stops along the way were very special as well. We would highly recommend this tour or any other of their Small-Group tours.

This was a great day trip. would do it again. Alex was one of the best guides we had. Wine and food were wonderful. Had a fun day. Go hungry.

Loved this tour!!! A 90-minute brunch at 10:30 a.m., 45 minutes in Monserrat enough time to walk briskly and see the cathedral, a 90-minute lunch your choice on the menu, but avoid the lamb because it's full of oddly-cut bones, and a visit to a large, family-owned inery followed by a tasting of excellent cava and wine. Be careful to not step in sheep droppings at the winery! Highly recommended tour by me.

The tour was wonderful and the guide was great at taking time to explain and entertain. My one complaint is that when you take 10 paying guests in a van intended to seat a total of 10 passengers it is very crowded and someone has to sit crowded behind the gear shift.

This was a great day! Our guide Fillipo was fantastic! We made an extra stop in Montserrat. There were only seven people in our group. The food was wonderful, the views were amazing!

Very nice meals and great wine. Our guide seemed only mildly interested in being with the group.

Had a great time with a group from Holland and a fellow American.Enrique was an accomodating host. Lunch in the country in the foothills of Montserrat...breathtaking! Not a fan of the wine at the vineyard we visited, but personnel there very informative. It was a great day!

We booked this trip outside of the tours included in our vacation package and it was well worth it. The first stop was in a small village where we had a typical Calalonia breakfast with wine. Lunch was in a rustic farm house in the middle of an olive grove. The food with wine was delicious and plentiful. Needless to say our journey to the next town was quite a lively one. Our guide, Enrique, was great. So friendly, great sense of humour and very knowledgeable about the area. He really made our trip memorable. If you're looking for a small group tour, spectacular mountain views with good food and wine don't miss this one. It was by far our favourite. Thank you Enrique!

This was the best tour. The places are wonderful. Food excellent and the british guide tour was the right man for this tour, funny and loving.

This tour is excellent as a city break and is a must for wine lovers. Our guide Enrique makes all the difference. He is fun loving and funny, just the right man on this tour and I am sure the entire group agrees on that as well. The whole day was merry and merry. Had wine on the included breakfast, lunch and afternoon winery tour. One of the most memorable tour I have taken in Barcelona.
