This was an amazing experience! Costa Brava hike is gorgeous. Being there in the end of March, it is an off-season and there are very few tourists. Coast was clear, beach empty of people, and views stunning! Weather was also great - not hot and very comfortable for a hike. Girona tour was very impressive. It is such a great old town with so many historical sites. Finally, out tour guide and driver should get a full credit for making this tour the one I will remember for many years. Both were very helpful, knowledgeable of local culture and significance of various sites we passed by, and accommodating to our needs. I am confident I would not appreciate and understand everything that I saw without all supporting information and history we received from our tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour.

Beautiful views along Costa Brava. Girona was a gem. Our tour guide James was so nice and provided a wonderful tour.
David was a very personable and knowledgeable guide. We had a wonderful hike along the coast in Costa Brava, followed by a very enjoyable tour of beautiful Girona. It was a great day!
We had the most wonderful time. David was our guide and he was informative , funny and relaxed. Three of us decided we wanted to swim in the Med sea and the others are all went on for a bit more of a hike . It was great to have the flexibility … then the tour to Girona was amazing - such a spectacularly beautiful place . Thank you !
We experienced two unforgettable adventures in one day! Our tour guide was the kindest and most helpful person who kept us safe, took photos and helped us fall in love with the adventure and region. This was one of the best days of our life! There are no words to describe how beautiful the coast and Girona are. This is a must do experience!
Wonderful time. David our guide and driver was very friendly, fluent and informative. The hike was beautiful and Girona was nice. A good amount of walking involved but nothing rigorous. Leisurely 1.5 hours to have lunch in Girona when we arrived. Van was new and comfortable.
The tour was beautiful and Alan was fantastic! We loved every minute of the very friendly and informative tour. It felt like we were visiting a friend :) Only minor feedback is just to clarify the pick-up experience. We arrived at the location and didn’t know what to do, as it is a residence. After just a few minutes Alan arrived to pick us up in the marked van. Would highly recommend this tour and any others offered by Mont Escape Tours!!
David was a fantastic tour guide and we absolutely loved both locations. Perfect amount of walking, learning, and stopping to take in the scenery. Highly recommend!
I though the hike was too long and got a bit boring. David was an excellent guide though. Girona was amazing and would have loved to stay there longer.
We had a fabulous day with Ferron from the moment the tour started to its completion he gave the impression that he was there to ensure we had a wonderful experience and his communication about the plans for the day was excellent as well as being fun to be with. The balance between the walking in nature, free time in Girona and the information conveyed was perfect at a pace that was flexible to our needs. I would thoroughly recommend this tour!
David is an excellent guide. He is knowledgeable but not overly talkative. The costa Brava/Girona tour is excellent especially if you want to get away from the hustle bustle of Barcelona for an afternoon. There are no crowds in Winter, but you won’t be able to get in the water. In summer, expect Costa Brava to be packed. I loved walking through Girona. Have a leisurely lunch, shop the cute boutiques and walk through the old City. There are lots of Game of Thrones stops here as well.
This tour was a very welcome getaway from the crowds of Barcelona. Costa Brava is gorgeous and the easy hike on the walking trails along the coast line gave us beautiful views. Bring a bathing suit I the weather allows, photos do not do it justice! After Costa Brava we went to Girona, had lunch at one of the restaurants in the beautiful square, quite delicious, and later toured the medieval section -the Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter, etc. Our tour guide Erran was fantastic, he was highly knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. It was just the 2 of us on this tour as the other group of 4 had to cancel due to illness, I don't know the max of people they bring on tour at a time. So much beauty and history was taken in. I highly reommend this tour!
A same tour can be totally different, depending of the guide you have. You see the places according as descripted by the guider. Ferram is one of these guys that make the difference, becoming your tour a unique experience. He gave me a day for remembering.
Ferran is an excellent guide who clearly loves what he is doing. He took us and another family on this walking tour. The Costa Brava portion is more a nature walk than a hike. It was about 2 hours along a coastal trail and we stopped for 30 minutes on a sandy beach. The scenery was FB/IG worthy and my favorite part was that there are only a few day hikers and almost tourist free. Girona walking tour was informative but unavoidably more touristy. However, Ferran took us to the hidden path behind the cathedral etc. I would highly recommend this tour.
I originally booked this tour for the Costa Brava portion, but my family ended up loving Girona just as much. The hiking was easy and well paced so that you could enjoy the beautiful views of the the coast. A quaint fishing village, forest by the sea and historic ruins; what more could you ask for? Not knowing much about Girona, we were pleasantly surprised by its beauty and history. It was a nice contrast from Barcelona with its quiet streets and shops. A true gem.
The “Costa Brava and Girona Small Group Tour from Barcelona with Easy Hike” by Mont Escape was a full day excursion. There were only four of us besides our guide Ferran, who was very fluent in English, very knowledgeable about the areas we visited, and made the excursion both highly informative and enjoyable with his running commentary. First, we went to the Costa Brava (Wild Coast) and walked a well-established, easy, but “unimproved” path along the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean. Civilization was all around us but it felt like we were isolated on the rugged Mediterranean shore. The scenery was outstanding. Next, we went on a walking tour of Girona, a vibrant city that still maintains the architecture of its Roman/Middle Ages past in its extensive “old city.” The city is superb and the walking tour was fascinating, both for the historical context and for our physical immersion in the architecture. I totally recommend this tour company/guide and this particular tour as a great way to get out beyond Barcelona and see some of the history of Spain.
The tour definitely lived up to its name. There were only four of us in the tour group plus the guide. Even so, the tour guide was excellent (lively, helpful, knowledgeable, and fluent in English). In the first part of the tour, there was plenty of easy walking along the beautiful "wild" Spanish coast. There was almost no moment when there wasn't a beautiful, picturesque photo opportunity. The second part of the tour was another amazing walk -- this time thru a populace that just happens to live in an amazingly well preserved city of medieval buildings and walls. Pick-up and drop-off was in a central part of Barcelona. We had an excellent time and would strongly recommend the tour to anyone seeking easy to moderate exercise and amazing views.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Costa Brava and Girona. The contrast from beach to medieval town made the tour that more interesting as it covered two completely different landscapes. The small group option is great as you feel you have your own personal guide. Ferran our guide was very friendly, pleasant and informative making it a great day all round.
Ferran our guide was great. Took his time to explain everything in both Spanish and English. A very well paced tour, beware this tour requires a great amount of walking/hiking on flat ground, up hill, rocky terrain, down hill, etc. I am mentioning this so people are aware, if you cannot handle a total of about 4-5 miles of this type of tour, this might not be for you. Costa Brava is very scenic and beautiful Girona is very historic and well preserved and is a must see if your are in this area of Spain. Again Ferran was great as our guide and it was a good day overall
Ferran did a great job catering the trip to our group and explaining everything along the way. The tour was a perfect balance of guided activity with a little exploring and discovering sprinkled in.

This was a fantastic tour, with expert commentary and breathtaking sites! The hiking was a bit more involved than easy but not too complicated! The beach and hilltop views were spectacular.

Small group, excellent guide, beautiful scenery. Would have liked more free time in Girona.

We really enjoyed this trip. Costa Brava was beautiful and Girona was amazing. Our guide, Mark, was very nice and friendly.

Really great day out from the city. Small group of 6. great guide.
Easy hike along the coastline. Nothing strenuous. Walk thru a very small fishing village. Beautiful views. Nice couple of hours.
An hour and a half for lunch or just wander in Girona before a walking tour of the medieval section including the Jewish Section/Area.
Lunch in the square was great your choice of about 8 restaurants, you pay, not inc in tour, under the sun, wonderfully relaxing.

Just a really nice, enjoyable, relaxed day. thank you!

This tour was amazing! The Costa Brava is a must see. The scenery is something I will remember forever. Our guide was really nice and knowledgeable. Girona is very beautiful. I absolutely recommend this tour.

We booked this tour and went with Mont Expedition. It was absolutely fantastic! Ferran was knowledgeable and we saw amazing things and views. I highly recommend it!

I highly recommend this tour. It is a well designed and well paced tour. Took the tour with my family wife and 8 year old twins. It was a perfect family outing. Unlike other tours, this tour is truly a small group tour. The size of the tour group allowed us to get to know everyone in the tour and as a result, the overall experience was fantastic. The tour guide Ferran who is also the owner of the tour company was exceptionally courteous and knowledgeable. Mario, the second guide on the trip, was excellent and ensured my children was able to keep up with the group. Both of them were extremely attentive to the needs of the entire group.

The tour itself was unique. The trip started early in the morning and on time. We drove north from Barcelona to reach our hiking trail along a beautiful coast of Mediterranean Sea. We had the opportunity to walk on the trail that featured hilly terrain, beach, coves and fantastic panorama of the Mediterranean Sea. Following the hike, we moved on to Girona where we had a brief introduction to the town followed by an hour long lunch break. Make sure to try out one of the local restaurants. Following lunch we had an extensive walking tour of old town Girona with ample stops for photos and questions. It's one of a kind of town.

I highly recommend this day tour. The overall experience was A.

Our small group of 9 travelled with Ferran and Ivan in their minivans, travelled to Costa Brava for a walking tour along the coastline, to observe the beauty of the area and learn of the history and culture of the Catalan people. The views were breathtaking as we walked at a leisurely pace along the shoreline. We then travelled to Girona where we enjoyed a fabulous lunch in the square outside the medieval quarter. After lunch we entered the old city via a bridge designed by Gustaf Eiffel.
Our guides walked us through old city providing us with an insight of the different era's, and how Girona changed over time. Visited the cathedral, the jewish quarter and walked the old wall to get a spectacular panoramic view of the city and its surrounds.
We then returned to Barcelona via the motorway, completing a fabulous day.
This tour was well planned, and flowed at a comfortable pace, our guides were enthusiastic and informative.
We highly recommend this tour and will be using Mont Escape next time we are in Barcelona.

Picture Perfect day! Awesome balance of hiking, gorgeous scenery and fabulous history and information. Mark was AMAZING, professional, knowledgeable and passionate about culture! Offered to cancel for full refund due to expected poor weather but opted to stay with tour and SO glad we did, best day of trip! Mahalo Mark we greatly appreciated everything!

Very courteous and professional tour guide . Marc was exceptional. Would highly recommend . Worth the money, great day trip. We ll use monte escape again .

This is an amazing tour. Our guide was great! The hike in Costa Brava was beautiful. Girona is truly a magical city. I would highly recommend this tour!!

Trip was perfect. We were picked up on time from our hotel. We travelled through Montscape Tours and Travels. One of this firms partner Ferran was our guide. He was knowledgeable with good advice on the history of the places we visited.Worth the money we paid. Recommended for everyone.

The tour With Mont Escape was amazing. Our tour guide, Ferron, was great. He took us to unbelievable places. The booking was easy. Got immediate response from Mont Escape. Clear and reliable directions. Very safe and secure. Would definitely recommend.
It was a great experience.

Get your hiking shoes on and get ready for one amazing day. We enjoyed this tour the most. The guide was very informative. And the views were breathe taking. If you don't visit Costa Brava, then you won't get the best of the outskirts of Barcelona. The water is so beautiful, and this was a great day outside the hustle and bustle of busy Barcelona. Thanks to Monte Escape we had an amazing day. This is a must do if you're visiting the area.

It was an incredible route, I also used one of the cars we rented and we were very comfortable. We had a great weekend with my family and friends. Taking excursions.
Greatly exceeded my expectations The guide fully delivered to travelers, made us spend an unforgettable day.Costa Brava unique, and Girona to recommend
Superb day meeting amazing places. The Ferran guide very professional and pleasant. Highly recommended.
Excellent excursion from start to finish. You are amazed at every landscape in both Costa Brava and Girona. Our guide, Ferran, excellent professional explaining us in detail and providing time to admire all the places.
