Ceramic Tiles Small Group Workshop In Barcelona

The workshop was held by a lovely couple, Wendy and Eric. They are not only masters of their profession but creating good and welcoming vibes. Both of them was very helpful and friendly. The workshop consisted of 8 people and the 2 host in total, which created opportunity for everybody to let their creativity run free. In my opinion this workshop is suitable for every age, however in my group everybody was above 18.

Absolutely lovely experience. Wendy and Eric were really helpful in guiding the taller, making sure we always had fresh material. Great time keeping as well (making sure we had time to paint too). Time went by between a chat and flower petal, while we left the buzz of Barcelona outside and just enjoyed the present.

I had an incredible experience at the Ceramic Tiles Workshop at Taller Gingell in Barcelona! The workshop was well organized, and the small group size made it easy to ask questions and receive personal guidance. I really liked that we didn't just learn how to make ceramic tiles, we also got a great explanation of the techniques and the ideas behind them :)

Wendy and Eric were awesome!!!! They guided us through shaping and making the tile with clay, and was very informative. It was an awesome experience with a relaxing environment. This may have been my favorite activity of my trip.

I booked a ceramic tile experience for my family (4 of us) and we had a really fun time. Wendy and Eric were super nice people and very supportive of our creative (or lack there of) talents. Overall, a good afternoon for our family, and we'll always have the tiles to remember our vacation in Barcelona.

Went with a group of 10 college students and every single person enjoyed this experience! This was the highlight of our vacation in Barcelona! The staff were incredible to work with and were great teachers too. The next time I’m in Barcelona I will be coming back again!

We really enjoyed the tiles workshop, a very creative experience. It was nice that it was a small group and they could send us our tiles! Wendy and Eric are really friendly and professional teachers, understanding different needs and helping bringing out our creative self in a kind and playful way.

It was a classy, art experience. This city of such artistic grandeur requires art-making activities like you provide for tourists and locals a like. There was just the right amount of friendly conversation between the locals and the tourists to be fun and also allow one to focus on the art-making. Diverse designs were created in such a short time. I was impressed with the talent and originality of those who came to this session. One participant decided not to have his creative work sent home. It was very sweet of Eric and Wendy to offer to him a tile that was already fired and created by someone else. Finally, to work in a shop that also supplies such elegant pieces to professionals using fine dining and artistic works, that was a treat. Wendy, thanks for showing me that side of your talents after the art-making. I hope to return next winter. Yet, if I don’t, please Eric and Wendy, take my wishes for a productive, creative year! I look forward to getting my tiles when back in the USA!

It was a wonderful afternoon! Wendy and Eric are not only experts at what they do, but incredible teachers. The attention to detail was formidable, from a quick intro to ceramics, to personalized attention, supporting each person's creative journey, they managed to create a safe, joyous space for everyone to get creative. 100% recommended, I can't wait to do another class with them.

The hosts (Eric and Wendy) did a fantastic job! They started with a short background before we started, then guided us during the experience. They had a lot of suggestions if asked and many examples to get the creative juices flowing. We had a family of five, with the children between the ages of 18 to 22. My kids loved it, I'm also sure they would have if they were younger too. We decorated two tiles each. Eric will ship them to us when they are done (we pay the shipping). I would recommend this to other people to try a well.

It's such a nice place and the owners are really nice and welcoming, they are really attentive and since it's for small groups it feels really cozy. The price is really worth for the experience and what you get, they have all sorts of materials that you can use for your art work. I would definitely go again.

My wife and I each created two ceramic tiles in about 90 minutes. We kept our designs simple, but other people were creating more complex tiles. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. Carter and Connie

Really fun and interactive experience. You will get your hands dirty (aprons provided) and be able to create two of your own masterpieces with initial education on different techniques. It was my first time doing a class like this and I really enjoyed making my pieces and how they came out. Eric and Wendy are very sweet and helpful attending to our needs throughout the session and sometimes before we even realized we needed something. They also have great recommendations for places to eat, etc. Also, had to ship 6 pieces (mine and friends) back to the USA since we were leaving before they’d be ready and shipping costs were less than I expected and they provided a full breakdown of the costs. My granddaughter and I attended this fantastic workshop. Everyone of us made 2 tiles in different styles. We appriceated that we could work out our own ideas, designs and colours. Wendy and Eric helped us to try out different techniques.They are very good teachers, competent and helpful and funny. With their help we got very nice results. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxed, happy and cheerfull. The length of visit is o.k, it would be a little bit better if it took 2 1/2 hours, because some of the creators are a bit slow and therefore 2 hours are a bit too short, but managable. Admission fee is o.k. The crowd size were 10 people, that is o.k. This course is best for people who like to do things with their hands and create their own tiles. Thank you for those very nice experience and your help and kindness. We enjoyed it very much.

We had a wonderful time as a family taking the Ceramic Tiles Small Group class with Eric and Wendy. The space was open and inviting and both are masters of their art! We did 2 tiles and learned all about the techniques from molding to patterns to painting them. It was a worthwhile and must do when in Barcelona!

I felt very comfortable and got to work on something that came as a bit of a surprise as the birthday group and I didn't really know what it would entail. As a complete beginner, I feel I've learned a bit about ceramics, I felt comportable to try things and and I really can't wait to see how my tiles turn out.

A wonderul way to spend an afternoon learning about the art of ceramics and doing something creative. Wendy and Eric were fabulous hosts and there was plenty of time to decorate our tiles and relax in their studio.

Yes, yes, yes, this was a great experience for the entire family! The guides did a wonderful job of showing multiple options and allowed everyone the freedom to create their own unique tiles. Ceramic tiles are a multi day process that they handle for you after you create your masterpiece. Shipping is available. Learned something and that helped recognize how tiles are part of the built environment all around Barcelona. The instructors were very nice and made sure everyone had plenty of water to drink. Have your creative juices flowing to create your tiles and have something to share when telling all your friends about the fantastic experience.

It was an amazing experience. I went with 2 friends who likes manulities, to celebrate the birthday of both, and I enjoyed soo soo much. The 2 teachers are super nice, friendly and proactive. I blinked and they suggested me tips and tools to easier what I want to do and I love it. Great experience. I super recomend it.

We loved making and decorating our tiles, the options and creative outlets were endless. Would recommend if you want a quiet, peaceful afternoon to escape the bustle of the city!

I joined this workshop with my 10-year-old daughter to celebrate her birthday. She loves creative, hands-on activities and absolutely loved the experience – she’s already asking to do it again! As for me, even though I’m not at all artistic or crafty, I found the workshop almost meditative. It helped me disconnect from daily life, and I felt so good expressing myself through my creations. The class was well structured and clearly explained, in English and in Spanish, which helped me, as I don’t speak Spanish. Eric and Wendy were incredibly kind and helpful throughout. Our creations were sent to France, carefully packaged and received in perfect condition. A big thank you to Eric and Wendy – I highly recommend this experience!

What a wonderful afternoon! A thoroughly enjoyable time making and painting 2 ceramic tiles with my adult daughter, who'd bought this treat for me as a late Mother's Day present. There was a warm welcome, clear instructions, plentiful tea in handmade ceramic mugs. The two course runners/leaders were so friendly, positive, encouraging and just delightful. I highly recommend this inspiring and engrossing activity.

This was a really fun activity to do with family and friends while visiting Barcelona. The hosts were lovely, very informative and gave great directions and recommendations on creative ways to work the project. They both gave clear information in both Spanish and English consistently, so nobody was left out. I would highly recommend this experience if you enjoy art and being creative!

Eric and Wendy were such good hosts. They taught us so many ways of adding art with clay on our tiles and they explained everything so good and smoothly. I enjoyed everything there. They also were so thoughtful, offering us some towels because we caught a really bad storm.

After a long morning of hiking and site seeing, this was a wonderful way to relax and get creative. The owners were terrific showing different techniques and explaining the process. It really was fantastic!

I took a trip to Barcelona with my sister and this is one of the activities we did. It was a great time! Eric and Wendy were so kind and helpful and gave so many tips to the class for different techniques. The cool thing is that everyone's tiles were so unique and beautiful! Wendy and Eric also take lots of pictures and send them to you so you can focus on your craft and don't have to worry about capturing the moment. It's a great activity and you get a special souvenir to bring home. Highly recommend!

Great fun. Awesome to exercise the creative side during a tourist trip. As a newcomer to clay, they made me feel welcome and skilled enough to make something I like. My wife is very skilled and they helped her to have a great time too, with some technique suggestions. Hot tea was lovely too. Two hours was enough time to try things out and start over a couple of times. If you’re not going to be able to pick up when ready, they’ll ship to you. (At your cost of course).

It’s a wonderful experience. Couple who run it were very helpful with the participants. I had zero experience but made two tiles I like. Two relaxing creative hours. Was good for the brain to do something different They will ship to you if you’re not going to be around when it’s ready in about 12 days. Workshop was in English and Spanish. They told us about great local food nearby.

We recently attended this ceramic workshop as part of a stag party with a group of seven, and it was absolutely fantastic! We loved the idea that one of the two tiles we each created would be installed on a building facade in Barcelona, serving as a permanent reminder of this special weekend. The workshop leaders, Wendy and Eric, were amazing. They explained everything so clearly, making it easy for everyone to follow, even those with no prior experience in ceramics. Their enthusiasm and friendly approach created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. We all had a great time getting creative and trying something new together. It was such a unique activity, and we couldn't recommend it enough for anyone looking to make lasting memories in Barcelona.

A wonderful experience among many ceramic workshops in Barcelona. Unique by the topic, social responsibility (we even made a small tile for the city of Barcelona which Eric and Wendy are collecting to make a design wall for the municipality of Barcelona). it is a creative and learning project, not just painting (as my experience with my others workshops). It was a beautiful gift for Christmas from my family!
