Our guide, Xavier, was excellent! Very informative and personable. We saw many of the notti miss sites in Bar Alina in 7 hours.

Since this is our second trip to Barcelona within 18 months my husband and I chose the half day tour with the entry ticket to La Sagrada Família Our tour guide was Rod and he was fantastic. He shared a wealth of information of Spain and Barcelona and engaged tourists to keep us focused. We highly recommend this tour and the visit to La Sagrada Família. I can’t even imagine how one can visit the cathedral on their own. There is so much information to absorb and general admission tickets are generally booked months in advance. You will not be disappointed.

Our tour guide Mel was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about the sites and gave us a great explanation of what was behind the scenes.

Sergio was our Tour Guide. He was highly articulate guiding the 6 of us while tailoring his comments for a diverse group. Half way through the tour we experienced a seriously flat tire. Sergio didn't blink, made alternative arrangements, and the tour continued with minimal delay. Oh, and the sights we saw were breathtaking and his comments provided context that made the experience even more enjoyable. I would note that materials Sergio used were helpful in providing historical perspective and his English skills were superb.

With all the construction taxi service was extremely delayed and the tour refused to wait. They would not cancel and we lost our entire tour. They were rude and refused to refund our payment.

This is a must do tour in Barcelona. You can see all the major sites. And is a guided tour inside both Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. Rod was an amazing guide and answered all of our questions. Must be able to do a lot of walking but was an absolute wonderful experience.

Sergio was an absolutely awesome tour guide - so incredibly well versed in the small alleys and big picture of the basillica. He knows more than most could hope to learn and I'd take his tour again in a hearr beat

We visited La Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, and Casa Mila at La Pedrera. We visited several parts of the city ( Gothic quarter and Born area) as well as multiple cathedrals. Our tour guide, Sergio, was the best: informative, knowledgeable, and added humor along the way. He constantly asked us what questions we had to ensure he was addressing our needs. I highly recommend Sergio as a great tour guide.

This was my husband’s and my favorite stop on our cruise. The tour was very comprehensive and our guide, Sergio, was knowledgeable, funny, and made sure we had a safe way back to our ship on time. I didn’t know much about Gaudi’s work coming into Barcelona and I left with a great appreciation for what he was able to accomplish. Barcelona is beautiful and vast, and I felt like we got to see a lot with what little time we had there. I was a little apprehensive about doing a tour outside of the cruise line, but this was very well organized and a better option than what my cruise offered here. Thank you Sergio!

Wasn’t picked up at cruise terminal as promised and paid for, also received a confirmation. Had to pay our own way 1.5 hrs late to meet up with another tour guide. Office was rude and not helpful. I am requesting our money back for transportation from and to cruise trip $45 euros each way. Tour guide didn’t care and we lost time on our tour

Tour was fantastic! Our tour guide,Sergio, was the best!! He was very engaging and informative and took the time to take our photos and get them just right. We never felt rushed and had fun the entire time. The tour group size was manageable which led to all of our questions being answered. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Barcelona!

Our guide was incredibly insightful, pleasant, and fun—he had such a great energy and was full of fascinating knowledge about Barcelona’s history, culture, and architecture. He really made the experience special for everyone in our group. The highlight, of course, was the Sagrada Familia. Seeing it in person was breathtaking—an absolute must-see. Skipping the line made a huge difference and gave us more time to truly take in the beauty and detail of Gaudí’s masterpiece. The tour was well-paced, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona, especially if you're coming in on a cruise and want to make the most of your time!

We had Mel from Barcelona! She was fantastic! Her English was really great. She layed out the agenda and told us all what to expect. It was blazing hot outside but she did her best to keep us in the shade. Water and bathroom breaks were given and she was always checking on us for how we were feeling. This was an intense tour with 13,000 steps . She had a ton of information about all the sights. We learned so much more from her than we could have ever learned on our own. Mel has a plethora of rich culture and tradition . Thank you gor such a phenomenal experience!

Rod was great! He did really good and was a very engaging storyteller. He took breaks often and was very kind :) he really gave the tour life!

The guide was very knowledgeable but we felt he needed to cut the patter as we were standing in rain and getting very cold. Skip the line didn’t mean walking through, it meant we were in a queue with several other groups in the rain. Not the tour operator’s fault, bad organisation by the facility. The familia Sagrada is magnificent and not to be missed!

Rod is the best your guide I’ve had He made this excursion a very pleasant experience and I highly record him. He is definitely one of the best.

Barcelona is a beautiful city and this tour was a walking tour that took us past many historic and beautiful sights. Our tour guide was "Rod" and he was extremely good, both with information and with humor. The Sagrada Familia Basilica is the most breathtaking church I have ever seen, and I've seen many in Europe. This tour was the highlight of our trip.

Sergio was absolutely wonderful. His knowledge and sense of humor made for a great day! Need to improve pickup. Supposed to be someone with a sign at the cruise terminal. Taxi was there and we had no idea it was him and he made no effort to see if we were his customers. He didn't know where to drop us off and couldn't speak English. He kicked us out and we were on our own finding the office. That is a big problem!!!

There isn’t one thing that really stands out. We enjoyed the whole tour! And our guide (sorry I don’t remember his name) but was great and very informative. Would recommend this tour!

Everything about this tour was top notch: all communications and questions were promptly answered, directions and pricing were clear, and of course, the tour itself was fantastic. Our guide, Sergio, was outstanding. He was sensitive to the needs of the seniors in our group, built in sufficient time for breaks in the extremely hot weather, and kept the kids engaged and laughing at his jokes. Sergio provided us with the history of Barcelona and all of the sites we visited over the full day tour and answered all of our questions. He also provided great suggestions for lunch and other useful tips. The convenience of skip the line tickets, private bus transfer across the city to multiple sites, and a guided tour made the experience so much more valuable and was well worth the price. We have been on many shore excursions over the years and this was definitely one of the best ones. Don't miss it!

Bypassing the 200 people in line to see the interior of the Sagrada Cathedral. Nestor our guide was better than excellent!

This is a great tour but didn’t rank higher because it was extremely expensive for our family of four. We did not read the fine print and didn’t realize til we got to tour start that it didn’t include the cost of the tickets to Sagrada Familia and Park Güell so that cost extra. Since we had to be picked up from the cruise terminal and dropped off as well (tour actually started in city center) the total cost was over $600! Buyer beware.

We have went in 1 or 2 tours a day for 14 days over the length of our vacation and this one was our favorite by far. It was the perfect balance of town walking, bus, fun, history, and views! We could not recommend this one highly enough. Our tour guide took care of us throughout.

Our guide, Sergio was attentive, accommodating and knowledgeable! Our tour was exactly as described! Our bus driver was excellent also! I would highly recommend this tour!

Although this is advertised as a shore excursion, it really isn't (unless you choose the pickup/dropoff option which is really expensive and a total ripoff--cab is much cheaper). Shore excursions are supposed to cater to the port times, and the times should be adjusted accordingly. It is not for this company. They are simply just trying to get more customers as most of the people in the tour were not on a cruise. They knew we were on a cruise as I spoke with them ahead of time, but they never once suggested that we should probably do a half day tour. I booked a full day tour, knowing I wouldn't be able to do the last activity. However, on the day of the tour, they decided to change the itinerary such that the activity I really wanted to do was now moved to the end of the day, and now I couldn't do it. This caused a lot of stress for me. They made things right by refunding me for the difference between half and full day tours. They also were still able to get me tickets for the afternoon activity I wanted to do (which were otherwise sold out). However, the company needs to be more cognizant of cruise schedules and making sure the tour works. In addition, the company (Explore Catalunya) does not have whatsapp so you can talk to them without being charged international calling fees. So everything is via messaging through Viator which is very difficult because you don't get any notifications when you get a message. The half day tour itself was great! Nestor was a great tour guide. He gave a good walking tour of the Gothic quarter and La Sagrada. So a 5 for Nestor but a 2-3 for Explore Catalunya.

I thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. Our guide Mel was terrific and visiting the Sagrada Familia was more incredible than I had imagined it would be. Witnessing the interior bowled me over. It was a fascinating and powerful “wow” moment.

La Familia Sagrada is a must see ! Albert was a great guide . He was very knowledgeable , easy to understand and had a good sense of humor !

Very nice and knowledgeable guide. Had prebooked a cab. To return to the cruise port. Can never showed and we had to hail and pay for a second cab. Barely made it back to the ship which caused some anxiety. Also instructions to meet the driver at start of tour were wrong, again causing some anxiety

His presentation was very animated and expressive, infused with humor, and he was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area. The Sagrada Familia was awesome! I'm sure other guides from Explore Catalunya are very good, but I can definitely recommend Rodrigo for a wonderful tour.

Rod, our guide, was outstanding! He not only showed us many interesting and historical places in Barcelona, he explained the history and significance of the things and places we saw. He was a great storyteller and regaled us with details about Gaudi and the Sgrada Familia with marvelous expressiveness and humor. It was a wonderful full-day tour.

Fantastic tour with our guide Sergio! I did this tour with my daughter while on a Norwegian cruise and I was surprised at the level of detail. I have been on NCL tours and Viator was on another level. We were picked up at our port and Sergio was very fun, insightful and thoughtful of our time to get us back to our cruise port in time. I loved the timing of the music when he had us enter Sagrada Familia (you will understand if you take this tour), and the surprise he had for us at the Olympic Stadium. . I strongly recommend this tour and Viator!

Gloria was a fantastic guide with local knowledge and personal experiences and perspectives that were woven into her commentary.

The excursion was excellent the church experience was the best. Would like to add that our tour guide Sergio went above and beyond when I fell. He got it s to a pharmacy for an ace bandage for my ankle that was already swelling and get the cab back to the cruise ship. He was wonderful. We did miss the rest of the tour due to my injury. Sergio was excellent in all areas of the tour including going above regarding my injury. We definitely plan to use Viator again next year. Thank you

Sergio Vidal is a fantastic guide! He is knowledgeable, friendly, jovial, interesting, and seems to genuinely care about his guests, their experiences, and their well being. He made sure the pace of the tour was good for all abilities and interests. He even made some parts of the tour that we thought we'd be less interested in be very interesting and they became some of the highlights.

This tour was exactly what we were looking for on the day our cruise ship docked in Barcelona. The tour company had a taxi pick us up at our terminal on the dock and returned us on time. Our tour guide Sergio was awesome. He is very knowledgeable on everything Barcelona and he was very attentive to the whole group on the tour. I would really recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see as much of Barcelona as possible but has limited time.
