Best Of Barcelona Excursion: Small-group With Pickup/drop-off

We had such a great experience with this tour. Very useful for those arriving in Barcelona after a cruise, since we've just got off the cruise terminal, did the tour and were dropped off right at the hotel, without having to handle with luggage and other transportation. Our tour guide Ophelie did a great job taking us around and explaining everything along the way

Pickup at the port by our driver/guide who was prompt and friendly. We were the only ones on the tour (another group didn’t show up) so it was very personalized. We got a great overview of the city and even stopped to take pictures. We learned a lot of history and also were able to get our bearings a bit. I wish I could remember our guide’s name because he was fantastic! Highly recommend.

Booked a trip to the Penedes wine region just outside Barcelona with Barcelona Tours. Driver Hugo was on time, professional and had a wealth of knowledge about current and historical Barcelona. We were picked up and dropped off from our apartment, it was very convenient. The wine tour was perfect and a local lunch at Art Cava winery was delicious. Santiago gave the tour at ArtCava, he was very humorous yet attentive, he answered a wide variety of questions! Well worth it!

The communication beforehand was excellent, they always responded within 24hours, to emails that I sent, and kept me updated as to what to expect on the day of the tour. Our tour guide was Marta and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot and enjoyed our tour.

This company and guide were amazing. They met us at the cruise port, took us all around Barcelona and saw a lot of the sights. When it came to the main church we were about to get out and walk which was nice. Guide’s English was great! After the tour we were dropped at our hotels. So easy!

We absolutely loved our tour! The 4 hour length was the perfect amount for our group and the age of our kids. Ophelie was super sweet and very informative, and even with the restrictions in Park Guell, she was able to tell us everything pertinent about the park before we entered while we were in the air conditioned bus, which was a plus. The bus was way bigger than we would’ve ever expected making the entire trip feel luxurious. We appreciated you and your team in helping us along and getting us the tickets for the Sagrada Família. I think the only thing I would have changed is that we had also booked a guided tour of the Sagrada Família after our tour. With how in depth our tour was with Ophelie, we didn’t feel like we also needed the information provided in the guided tour of the Sagrada Família. We highly recommend this company for those who have a short time period in Barcelona. They were wonderful to work with!

Excellent tour with Marta who has to be one of the best tour guides we have ever had. We walked the old town instead of doing Park Guell and it was great. Marta was a wealth of information and apart from the old town we did Montjuc then off to Sagrada Familia where we took the inside option - a great idea and you organise this when you book the tour as there are preliminary steps. We have been to Barcelona before twice but never did a tour. You have to do a tour to get an understanding of the history, All of our guides through Spain Day Tours were great in Valencia with Adela and Ava for Monserrat. All tours highly recommended

The Barcelona Day Tours excursion delivered as promised and met our needs very well. We were effectively on back-to-back cruises, one ending and the next one starting in Barcelona. We'd visited Barcelona for a few days a year and a half earlier, but extensive rains and flooding caused Park Güell to close on the day we'd booked tickets. So for us the opportunity to visit the park was an essential part of the trip. We were met conveniently at the port by the driver / guide who picked us up along with two other couples who had finished their cruise and were staying over night at a hotel in Barcelona. The day started with a trip to Montjuic with great views of the city, followed by a drive with some stops to take a closer look at the outside of some of the more interesting Gaudi buildings. Unfortunately, the weather didn't co-operate as shortly after that a tremendous extended rainstorm began. When we arrived at Park Güell one of the other couples decided to wait in the van, and the other only wanted to visit for a few minutes before returning to the vehicle. Since this was a bucket list item for us we persisted and despite the rain enjoyed our visit. Our clothes were dampened but our spirits were not. Obviously the tour operator cannot control the weather. Perhaps if the forecast was known we could have headed to the park immediately and done more of it before the rain started, but really this was luck of the draw. For the other parts of the tour it was really nice to have a local guide who could point out and explain various sites, some of which we were familiar with and some that were new to us. The tour ended with a visit to the outside of the Sagrada Familia (which we had visited extensively inside and outside on our previous visit), then dropping off the other couples at the hotel and taking us back at the port. Had the weather been nicer we would have preferred to be dropped in town for some more strolling on our own but under the circumstances were happier getting back to the ship and eating an afternoon meal in dry clothes. From my point of view the tour delivered what was promised at a price very favorable compared to tours offered by the cruise line. If the opportunity arises with more time I would be happy to book one of the company's more extended tours to Monserrat or Girona. Hopefully on a sunny day!

The itinerary advised that we would spend 5 minutes at some sites, and I understood that we would get out of the bus and have a look and take photos. However, we just drove past important places like the Gaudi houses and did not stop. If you were not on the right side of the bus, you would not see them at all. The visit to Guell gardens was great but this was not included in the tour originally, so this was a bonus. We had to pay extra for this. The visit to La Segrada Falmilia was outstanding, but we paid extra to go inside.

It was great to be able to be picked up with our luggage and given a tour of Barcelona, then dropped off at our cruise ship. I wish we could have been picked up at our hotel- but it wasn’t possible. We learned a lot about Barcelona and saw quite a bit for a 4 hour tour.

We were part of a small group tour that we booked through Barcelona Day tours. The communication we received from Dory in their office was second to none & we were most impressed with the efficiency. On the actual day of the tour last week we were picked up from our cruise ship at the exact time stated & transferred to where the tour began. Our guide Kristina was very knowledgeable & provided much valuable information along the way. It was a half day city tour & we also took the add-on extra of Sagrada Familia tickets which Barcelona Day Tours arranged for us. This meant that at the end of the actual tour, we were left at SF to go inside with our tickets. Prior to this we had done a complete walk around the perimeter of SF with Kristina. Because we weren't being returned to our ship at the end of the tour, Barcelona Day Tours will refund us part of our taxi fare when we send them the receipt. Thoroughly recommend them & would happily book with them again.

Wonderful tour with our guide Christina. She was a native and told us much about the city. Guell Park and the Sagrada Família were the highlights but we saw much more. Would highly recommend.

Our guide was excellent and was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and different neighborhoods. We were a group of 12 at the end of a 7 day cruise and were picked up promptly in a vehicle that could handle all of our luggage, as well as our passengers very comfortably. We toured the Gothic Quarter, Park Guell and the Sagrada Família, with a lunch stop for Tapas at a great little place recommended by our guide. We were then transported to the airport for our flight back. If you only have one day to see Barcelona this is definitely the way to go!

We had the BEST tour with Barcelona Day Tours! We appreciated the communication about leaving the boat early with EES to be on time, and the communication with the issue of the original bus. The guide arrived promptly and we were quickly able to locate her and the sign with our name on it despite the very very busy port. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us to see so many sites that my family and I probably wouldn’t have been able to see without the tour (from lack of knowledge of certain sites or from time constraints). We learned so much about Barcelona’s rich history and truly appreciated the experience. We booked a semi private tour with pickup from the port. Including my group, there were 10 people total on the tour.

This tour was very interesting and informative. There were a of couple changes before our tour started and everyone at Spain Day Tours made sure we understood everything and went out of their way to accommodate the changes. Communication was excellent. The tour is a good overview of some of Barcelona’s highlights. I would definitely recommend them for this or other tours as I’m sure they put the same level of detail and effort in all their tours.

The entire excursion was the best one of any of the the excursions we took from our cruise. They picked us up at our cruise ship and dropped us off there. The bus we used was in very good condition! The driver, Alejandro was great and our guide, Moses, was excellent!!!! Very easy to understand!! Extremely knowledgeable and informative about Barcelona. The sites were beautiful! Barcelona was very crowded, but extremely clean. We didn’t have any issues the entire excursion!! We definitely would use and recommend Barcelona day tours to anyone going to Barcelona. Also the price was really good.

This tour is ideal if you have additional time in disembarkation port and want to extend your vacation. Tour picks you up at the port at approx. 8:30 (two hours after we arrived) allowing you to get off the ship without rushing and your luggage is handled from this point on. Guide meets you just outside the port doors. Your hotel drop-off is included in the tour- takes a lot of the stress out of disembarkation and transition to new hotel. Steven our guide was organized and tour in comfortable mini-van included three stops- note this were actual walking stops. Tour dropped us off at our hotel around 1PM which was perfect for a early check-in.

Spain Day Tours did not disappoint! They are as advertised and our group would definitely use again. We loved the fact that just our group of 5 could be picked up at our hotel and tour was very reasonable priced. It was a very good half day tour drive around the city seeing quite a few sights. Several Gaudi buildings, saw former Olympic sites , Montjuic , Park Guell and final stop was La Sagrada Familia. Joe was very knowledgeable, informative and pleasant, with a sense of humor.

We enjoyed the Barcelona tour very much. Marta is so knowledgeable! The Born and Gotic segment and all the history that came along with it was fascinating. The trip up Montjuic was lovely and packed with many places of interest. We were especially excited by the drive through Barcelona to Sagrada Familia. To see the exterior of the Batllo house and the Pedrera was exciting for us. Marta's detailed explanations about the basilica, as she systematically took us around the building, pointing out all of the images and storytelling devices, were impressive and much appreciated. When we actually heard the audio guide, we realized that she had already given us most of the information. Hearing it twice was helpful. Our small-group half-day tour of Barcelona was excellent from start to finish. We were picked up on time, right outside the cruise port terminal, and the 4 hour tour allowed us to see some of the major sights of the city. The tour included commentary and history of the city (our guide was very knowledgeable), and we had plenty of time in Park Guell, and a nice little walk around the perimeter of La Sagrada Familia - our guide knew how to avoid the biggest crowds and where to get the best photos! At the end of the tour, we were dropped off at the train station (as we requested), and the guide made sure we were near an entrance that had an elevator so that we wouldn't have to carry our luggage down stairs. The price of the tour was very reasonable, and was much less than a similar tour offered by the cruise line. We would definitely recommend this tour, and this tour operator (Top Day Tours/Spain Day Tours), and would book through them again.

The whole process begins with a phone call where Dori explains the different tour options and prices. They provided excellent communication and follow up emails. The whole process was really smooth and top notch. The small group tour buses are Mercedes Benz kept in like new condition. They provided a knowledgeable tour guide that accompanied the group at all the stops with time to do some independent sightseeing. They picked us up at the port and they will return you back well within the allotted time so you don’t miss your all aboard time. Our driver and tour guide were excellent, and answered all our questions. We opted to add a pre purchased dated and timed ticket entrance to visit the Sagrada Família church through Barcelona Day Tours. Although the tour we took included a walk around the outside of the church they took care of procuring and purchasing the tickets for us to visit the inside. The only thing worth noting is that when you add the ticket option for the church they will drop you near the church entrance well before the allotted entry time giving you enough time to get a quick tapas lunch before heading to the entrance. Transportation back to the port is on your own if you choose the ticket to visit Sagrada Família inside since this is not part of the tour. The tour company reimburses you up to 15 euros to pay for a taxi drive back to port. We did this and the whole process and experience was wonderful. We highly recommend you visit the inside of the church and consider Barcelona Day Tours.

We had a small group tour booked and it ended up being just my husband and I. Our driver, Christian, picked us up at our hotel and drove us to several places and he was very knowledgeable and we learned so much. He dropped us at Park Guell for an hour and then was there to get us and take us to Sagrada La Familia. We were a little early for our tour there, so he suggested a nice little place to have a quick drink and Tapas before we toured the amazing cathedral. We enjoyed the day so much, and special thanks to Christian and to Aurelio with Barcelona Day Tours who emailed all the detailed info and always responded quickly to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend them to everyone!!

The tour greatly surpassed our expectations. We were expecting a mostly in vehicle tour but the several walking sections were fantastic. Our guide,Francesco, was extremely knowledgeable and communicated clearly throughout the tour. He has a strong sense of what we would find interesting and delivered it passionately.

We are so impressed with Spain Day Tours. This is our third trip to Barcelona, and we learned a lot from this guide. We visited all the highlights and had ample time to see all we wanted. Excellent tour guide in a nice Mercedes van on custom tour to La Sagrada Família and Park Güell! Also brought us to a nice food store for paparika and Sherry products. Easy pickup and drop off back at cruise port! Do the private tour with skip the line!

As we had limited time in Barcelona we found the tour to be well suited to us. We visited Sagrada famila & Park Guell & had plenty of time to return to our ship. Took a taxi & had our fare refunded through the company, which was a lovely gesture.

We used this company twice on our visit. First they picked us up at airport and we did a 4 hour city tour. They were waiting at airport even though our flight had been delayed. The driver was great and stopped at many great spots. We then did an all day tour of Girona/Costa Brava. The driver and guide were both great. Would highly recommend fir your touring needs.

The tour was great, and we appreciated Christian's helpfulness in everything from the pickup at the airport to modifying the tour he had planned when he learned about other activities we already had planned for later in our stay. The archaeological site at El Born was fascinating, and we would have missed it if Christian hadn't suggested tweaking our itinerary to include it. What a great tour. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in a very comfortable mini van. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about all aspects of Barcelona including all the history. It was good to include visits to both Park Guell and La Familia Sagrada! Would definitely recommend!

We booked a Barcelona highlights half tour that included Park Guell with pick up from cruise port and drop off at airport. We were pickup on time and escorted through town with an incredible driver and guide (23April25). It was Sant Jordi which added some hurdles with crazy traffic but the driver and guide worked together to give us a great time experiencing this holiday with the locals----all the while getting to see Park Guell, La Sagrada Familia, the block of discord, the Olympic Ring and so much more. We had a very tight window between disembarking from cruise port to catch a flight home. Great use of time and very efficient way to see lots of Barcelona in a short time.

We had a great day with our guide (I don't remember her name). Port pick up was on time and went seamlessly. Our driver was great. I felt very safe with him driving in a huge city with lots of traffic. With the city highlights, Park Guell and Sagrada Familia there was just enough for a shorter than usual port time. I submitted my receipt for the taxi ride back to the ship and already received a response letting me know I would receive reimbursement in a couple of days. We were picked up by Hugo together with three others at our hotel and he was a truly excellent guide with an obvious passion for the city and it's history. This is the first stop of our Mediterranean cruise tour and we really enjoyed the Barcelona city tour. The tour guide is very nice and knowledgeable. She accompanied us all the way and provided detailed information about the city and historic sites. Many thanks to the optimum arrangement, which saved us a lot of time on buying tickets and waiting traffic. This is very helpful for first time visitors or people not familiar to the city. We were picked up by a taxi for free from hotel in the morning, to join another group at the shore in order to start the tour on time, and dropped off to the cruise port at 2 pm as planned.
