Barcelona’s most iconic landmark, designed by Antoni Gaudí. Enjoy a panoramic visit to one of the most remarkable architectural works in the world, and if you wish to visit inside at the end of the tour, order skip-the-line tickets for your audio-guided visit at the end of the tour. Contact us after booking to pre-book your admission if wanted (most people are happy with a panoramic visit only).
See the beautiful Marina and Barcelona's trendy beach
Casa Batlló is one of Antoni Gaudí’s most imaginative creations on Passeig de Gràcia. Redesigned in 1904, the building is famous for its colorful mosaic façade, bone-like balconies, and a roof shaped like a dragon’s back. Inside, flowing lines, natural light, and marine-inspired details showcase Gaudí’s distinctive Modernist style.
Plaça d’Espanya is one of Barcelona’s largest and most important squares, built for the 1929 International Exhibition. It is marked by the twin Venetian Towers and sits at the foot of Montjuïc, near the Magic Fountain and the former bullring, now the Arenas shopping center. The square serves as a major transport hub and a grand gateway to the Montjuïc area.
Casa Amatller is a prominent Modernist building on Passeig de Gràcia, designed in 1898 by architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch. Its distinctive stepped gable façade, inspired by Flemish Gothic architecture, contrasts with Gaudí’s neighboring Casa Batlló. Rich decorative details and sculpted stonework reflect the wealth and taste of the Amatller chocolate-making family who commissioned it.
Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC) is housed in the grand Palau Nacional on Montjuïc hill. The museum is renowned for its outstanding collection of Romanesque frescoes, as well as Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and modern Catalan art. Its elevated position also offers panoramic views over Barcelona from the terraces.
La Mansana (Illa) de la Discòrdia, meaning “Block of Discord,” refers to a famous stretch of Passeig de Gràcia where leading Modernist architects competed through bold designs. The contrasting façades and decorative styles earned the block its nickname, making it one of Barcelona’s most striking showcases of Catalan Modernisme.
L’Anella Olímpica de Montjuïc is the main Olympic complex built for the 1992 Barcelona Games. Located on Montjuïc hill, it includes the Olympic Stadium (Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys), Palau Sant Jordi, and surrounding open spaces. Today, it hosts major sporting events, concerts, and public gatherings, offering wide views over the city.
La Pedrera, officially known as Casa Milà, is one of Antoni Gaudí’s most iconic Modernist buildings on Passeig de Gràcia. Completed in 1912, it is famous for its undulating stone façade and surreal rooftop chimneys. The innovative structure, natural light-filled courtyards, and flowing forms reflect Gaudí’s distinctive architectural vision.
Plaça de Catalunya is Barcelona’s central square and main meeting point, linking the historic old town with the modern Eixample district. Surrounded by shops, cafés, and major avenues such as La Rambla and Passeig de Gràcia, it serves as a key transport hub and a lively gateway to the city.
Visit the national park of Montserrat – admission entry included in the price. Montserrat is a dramatic mountain range about one hour from Barcelona, known for its unique serrated rock formations and panoramic views. It is home to the Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat, which houses the revered Black Madonna (La Moreneta), Catalonia’s patron saint. The area combines natural beauty, spiritual significance, and excellent hiking opportunities.
Abadía de Montserrat is a Benedictine monastery founded in the 11th century, dramatically set within the Montserrat mountains. It is one of Catalonia’s most important spiritual sites and home to the revered Black Madonna (La Moreneta). The abbey also features a basilica, and sweeping views over the surrounding landscape.
See this famous Boulevard which shops and Gaudi's architecture
One of Barcelona’s most atmospheric neighborhoods, known for its narrow medieval streets, boutique shops, lively cafés, and vibrant nightlife. Blending history and creativity, it is home to landmarks such as Santa Maria del Mar and offers a mix of local culture, artisan stores, and a relaxed yet trendy vibe
Stunning 14th-century Catalan Gothic church built by the city’s merchants and shipbuilders. It is known for its pure architectural lines, soaring columns, and luminous stained-glass windows
A panoramic outside visit to the Museu Picasso highlights the elegant Gothic palaces that house the museum in the heart of El Born. From the street, you can admire the medieval façades, stone archways, and quiet courtyards that reflect Barcelona’s historic character.

Four of us were picked up from the cruise port for our private tour right on time by our wonderful guide Lydia and our driver, David. After loading all our luggage in the van, we began our trip to Montserrat. This tour was an absolutely perfect way to begin our time in Barcelona. Montserrat was amazing as well as the Barcelona city tour. Lydia was a wonderful guide and David was an expert driver. I was not feeling well, so Lydia and David went the extra mile in locating a pharmacy so I could get some medicine. Lydia was very patient and empathetic with my husband and I walking a bit more slowly up the inclines at Montserrat. She was full of interesting facts about all the places we visited. We had been a bit anxious about the protests that had been going on, but we felt very safe on our tour as well as our extra day in the city. Barcelona is a beautiful and vibrant city and one of the favorite places we visited on our trip. Thanks again to Barcelona Day Tours, and particularly to Lydia & David for helping make it such an unforgettable trip! I would highly recommend booking with this company.
Very efficient. Pick up at Port was very convenient and got us out of that crowd in a timely manner. Hotel pickup eliminates stress of getting to meeting point on time. Tour guide, Christian, was extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves Barcelona. He gave us two restaurant recommendations that worked out extremely well. The information shared getting to Montserrat I believe was unique and appreciated. I would book again as this is my second time using Barcelona Day Tours already.
We were picked up at the port. Our guide, Alex was great. It was busy once we got closer to Montserrat so we got out and walked a little. Alex managed to find us and give us our tickets. We arranged a meeting time and place after we were done in Montserrat. We drove back to Barcelona and then toured around seeing all the highlights. Alex was wonderful, knowledgeable and we had a fabulous time. He dropped us and our luggage off at our hotel at the end of the day. Highly recommend Spain Day Tours!!
Had a wonderful day with guide. Picked us up from the cruise port and we did Montserrat and Barcelona tour and then dropped us off at our hotel. There were 4 of us and plenty of room in the car along with all our luggage.
Was a lovely day! Our guide (Marta), our driver (Wilfred) were amazing. They took very good care of us. Marta was a wealth of knowledge about the area, the places we visited and life in Barcelona in general.
Cristina was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable! Also VERY helpful. While we were at Montserrat, I received a phone call that I mistakenly took the wrong suitcase when disembarking the cruise ship earlier that morning. Cristina was VERY helpful with getting me back to my hotel to drop off the suitcase to the rightful owners. She helped make a bad situation so much easier. The sites she showed us were amazing and I thank her and the tour company for helping make the day much easier than it could have been!
Dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes and bring a snack and water. It is a very busy day and worth every minute. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had everything timed out perfectly. He was a wealth of knowledge and made the day very enjoyable. So rest up and get ready for a great day!
Very knowledgeable and safe.
Marta was very knowledgeable and explained everything very famously! We would have enjoyed more free time in Monnserat. The only other thing that I can offer would be for all to hear while driving in the van. We are hearing impaired and probably could have benefited from the driver either having a microphone or passengers having headsets. All in all it was fabulous
Everything was great. Easy instructions on where to meet from our cruise ship and the tour operator and driver did a nice job. Enjoyed it!
Tour was excellent. Tour guide Ophelia was phenomenal. Great overview of city and historic sites enhanced by Ophelia’s pleasant personality and deep knowledge of all of the history and facts.
My mother and I enjoyed our tour. It started with a convenient pickup at the port at the end of our cruise and ended with drop off at our hotel Our driver was responsive to our wishes and questions. He provided a lot of information about the places that we were visiting which enhanced our experience. I would highly recommend this tour to other travelers.
We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this tour. Joao was very knowledgeable and informative.
Montserrat is a must see. It was incredible being up there and thinking about the history there. Joao was very knowledgeable.
Great experience and the tour guide was amazing. Able to see everything we wanted to and some we never thought of in Barcelona.
We had a fantastic day with Barcelona day tours we took a chance and chance and booked . We have been to Barcelona once before but this time we are on a cruise and wanted to see things we had never seen before. The guide was amazing and her historical knowledge was out of this world. It was one of the best Excursions of our cruise we definitely recommend your company Thank you again for a well organized and in depth excursion
Montserrat was amazing. It was disappointing not to see the Olympic Games spot (couldn’t get out of bus) or Sagrada Família inside. Travel guide was very good and we enjoyed it.
Sm group tour 4 of us. Our guide told us where we were heading and asked if ee wanted to see anything additional. Guide was exceptionally knowledgeable on everything we saw and asked about. Had an amazing time.
We had a fantastic time with Christian as our tour guide. He was great! We learned a lot and we got to see so much with him as our guide. We felt safe with him as a legal blue plate tour guide. Knowing a solid business with wonderful tour guides were taking care of us made us feel truly valued as customers. Great day with so many laughs! Thank you Christian & everyone at Spain Day Tours!
This was an excellent tour from beginning to end. Steven was knowledgeable, personable, and gave us great information about the areas we were seeing. He did not talk endlessly just to fill time like some can do. I highly recommend this tour and tour company. It was a great day and very comfortable ride. The convenience of being picked up at the cruise ship with our luggage and then dropped off at our hotels afterwards cannot be beat!
Originally this was supposed to be a full day tour including Monserrat. When the Pope decided to come to Barcelona, the tour operator reported that logistics would be very difficult so it was shortened to a half day city tour. Although the driver/guide was very friendly, the whole tour was basically a drive by and was not what we had in mind. It probably should have been cancelled given the circumstances.
Well organized trip to Montserat Barcelona, Girona and Tosse De Mar. Guide Magdalene gave detailed explanation on history behind each places and helped our group to have better understanding. Overall the two days trip was very good and the Team enjoyed it well
A great day out, in a small group, with a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide whi was also our driver. Both Montserrat and the Familia Sagrada blew us all away. Highly recommended.
Tour was fab and lots of information given. Walking part of tour was good and nice to see Barcelona for another perspective. Sagrada Família stop was excellent and good to see right the way around and guide stopped at all the points to get great photos. Spain Day tours kept in contact throughout booking process and then afterwards with clear instructions on where to meet for pick up and the long queues the port had with EES gates (gates were quick on the day we disembarked) Picked us up at port and then dropped us at airport which was great as we had later flight, filled in the day nicely and was good to see Barcelona in a few hours.
Driver promptly picked us up at port. Driver pleasant and knowledgeable. Pretty much full day. Had plenty of time at each stop.
I was picked up on time from the port after my transatlantic cruise on the Brilliance of the Seas. I joined a small group tour. Alex was our driver/guide. The day was fantastic. Montserrat is beautiful. He explained everything to us and our time there was just perfect. One couple requested to take the cable car down and he pivoted and offered it to all of us. He met us at the bottom of the cable car while one couple chose to drive down with him. Alex was friendly and informative. He gave us a wonderful tour of Barcelona and dropped us off at various hotels. I will definitely book again the next time I am in Barcelona.
Hugo is very friendly, informative, very knowledgeable about Barcelona and just an overall great guide!
We did not have a good experience on this trip. We were seated in the 3rd row in a van and it was difficult to hear the driver/guide especially while driving on a highway. We asked him to speak louder and the driver/guide told us “you need to clean out your ear!” Needless to say, the tour went down hill for us after that comment. We travel a lot and hav had many tours through Viator but this was the first experience with a guide being so rude.
Felt safe and the tour was great. The guide was very knowledgeable and very easy to understand. The travel between each stop was nor to long and going to Monserrate early in the morning was a great choice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Barcelona & Montserrat tour with Spain Day Tours. Everything was very well organized, from the pick up at the port to the timing of the tour and drop off at our hotel in Barcelona. The van was new, clean and comfortable and we had a nice and careful driver. Our tour guide was easy to find and on time. She was excellent, very engaging and gave us plenty of information about the places, we were visiting. Montserrat is really amazing and the time we spent there was just right. The city tour by van gave us a good overview of Barcelona and covered most of the famous sights. The following walking tour through the old parts of the city was very interesting and at a good pace. Our knowledgeable guide did a great job. We had a fabulous day. Highly recommended!
What you need tickets for in advance. Have your guide buy in advance. Great pickup! Your great! Would of loved to see all items on list.
We've cruised and done many excursions over the years, but this was among our most favorite. We were safe, comfortable, educated, entertained the whole day. Our tour guide , Magdalena, is a huge asset to your company. If you offered a tour where we just drove around with her on the bus, we'd sign up! We saw everything we had been studying the months before and had ample time to explore them as well After the tour we were dropped of across the street from our hotel, luggage unloaded, good byes said. Five stars is a low rating for this great company.
Tour guide (Monset) was pleasant and informative. Overall experience was great, meeting point and guide were easy to find
We had the best tour of Barcelona. Our tour guide Marta did an amazing job and helped us to see so much of the beautiful city! Since we had to be off the ship so early most of us had not eaten breakfast, so Marta took us to a nice place for a delicious meal. Marta reassured us that we would make the most of our time and made sure everyone on our tour was safe and having a good tour. She gave us so much information about the area, history and present. Our first stop was at Abadia de Montserrat, the area has so much history as well as being used as a monastery, restaurants, school, hotel and hostel accommodations. The farmers market had so many options of food from the area. Our next stop was to visit the Guell Park. This area also has a school and so many options for the community events and just spending the day. Our final stop was to see the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia church. It is the largest church in the world and still under construction. We are so glad that we were able to experience Barcelona using your company and thankful for our taxi from the city to our hotel.
João was a a wonderful tour guide for Barcelona and Montserrat. He gave us a great overview of the city and was very helpful. His knowledge of the city allowed us to see all the important sites of beautiful Barcelona. Montserrat was breathtaking and Sagrada Familia was exceptional. Thank you for a memorable experience.
We opted to do a Private tour of Barcelona/Montserrat last week and we were so glad that we did. Our driver picked us up from our hotel in a lovely comfortable van and she was very friendly, thoughtful and flexible. We were able to make decisions on where we wanted to go on the day and each time we stopped, we were let off as close to the attraction as possible. Our driver also had our skip the line tickets ready for us which saved having to queue up. We would highly recommend this tour company for any Barcelona tours you might be considering, we will definitely use them again next time we are visiting Barcelona.
This was an amazing tour. It takes you out of the hustle and bustle of beautiful Barcelona and shows you more of the actual country. Hugo was extremely knowledgeable and a 100% Catalan. We had a bad storm roll in and he worked around it to make the best of it, despite the storm. He showed and told us things about Barcelona that were very interesting. Monsterrat is a must see. Família Sagrada is also a must do.
Elena was our guide for the day. We really enjoyed her enthusiasm and knowledge. We saw Barcelona highlights, Park Guell, and drop off at Sagrada Familia. Having a private driver made it hassle free. I would highly recommend this company for your private tour experience.
We did the tour after we disembarked from our cruise. It ended up being a very rainy day, however, our tour guide made the best of it. We were still able to see all the highlights and stop a few times for some photos. The tour company has no control over the weather. We thought they did a great job. We definitely recommend them and would use them again.
We did have a wonderful holiday and enjoyed our tour very much. Magdalena and our driver both did a great job, and were very accommodating and knowledgeable the entire day. We were able to upgrade to the full-day tour which included Montserrat. Such a beautiful place that we hadn't considered visiting but are so glad we had the chance to see! They picked us up at the cruise port and kept our luggage stored on their mini-bus all day so we didn't have to worry about it. And at the end of the tour, they made sure we got to our hotel safely (we had to taxi into Old Town because the buses aren't allowed there). We also purchase the Park Guell entry tickets which are worth the extra 18 euros. We would highly recommend Spain Day Tours to any of our friends visiting Spain. I wish I would have discovered them before we booked with other companies, but will know for next time!
My husband and I took the Barcelona and Monserrat tour after our cruise ship docked in Barcelona. The timing was perfection because we were able to get off of the ship (we transported our own bags off the ship) and go straight on the tour from the port. They kept our bags securely on the van for us. At the end, they dropped us at our hotel as we were staying in Barcelona for a couple more nights. The bus driver and guide (Elana) were wonderful. Elana was a fantastic tour guide and explained so much about Barcelona, the city she clearly loves. Monserrat was much more spectacular than I imagined. We were on a bit of a customized tour that allowed us to go into Familia Sagrada (instead of going to Park Guell) and Elana gave an excellent tour of it as well. I would definitely book with this company in the future...and definitely recommend booking a tour for when you get off the ship as it is very convenient.
Great day! Marta was our guide and did an outstanding job. Van was small and clean. Marta was knowledgeable and accommodating.
We had an excellent time on the tour. We had an awesome tour guide/ driver. Our tour guide took us to a great little restaurant for lunch. He explained everything we saw with great knowledge. Booking was very easy. They responded back to my emails in a timely manner. When they found out Sagrada Familia was closing early on the day we were to tour it they were able to let us know quickly so we could get another date booked for us. Being from another country and having a very quick response time is very valuable to us.
We have used Spain Day tours in our previous trips to Spain as well other excursions. They always are prompt, very informative and personable. The tours guide are always very knowledgeable and pleasant. Will definitely use them on other trips and recommend them for any excursions
Marta was a wonderful tour guide. We had a very informative day with her and saw the attractions that were important to us. The van was clean and comfortable.
Marta was so knowledgeable about everything we saw and did at all of our stops! I would highly recommend Spain Day Tours for anything Barcelona.
Yolanda was an excellent tour guide. She is full of interesting information and was very accommodating for everyone’s special needs.
Paid to be picked up at my hotel. However, in the middle of the night, I received a text message that I would have to walk a short distance to the pick up point. being in Barcelona less than a day, It was difficult to find the pick up point. We were right by an Apple store a department store, but instead they chose a hotel with no recognition.
We were picked up on time from the cruise terminal and saw the most amazing sites at Montserrat, highlights of Barcelona & Park Guell. Our tour guide and driver were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Great way to spend a day in Barcelona when you have limited time.
