The meeting point was unclear in the directions. The audio guide was not working. The tour guide kept going in and out on speaker. She was also difficult to understand for being English tour guide. The description never implied that there would be 400 steps to descend if we bought the tower extra part of the tour. This was very unfortunate as 5 of our party of 7 bought the tower ticket and could not utilize it due to mobility issues. Had we known that in description, we would not have purchased that extra. I immediately inquired about a refund and was denied. I find that to be unfair as a customer .
I scheduled this event in June for our trip in Oct 2026 for my husband and myself. My husband needs a cane for support. We were not able to use the tower part of this experience because of his use of a cane. Nowhere in your tour description does it mention any restriction on the tower experience. Our tour guide did speak with an Basílica Sagrada Família employee about an exception, but with no luck. The visit to the tower was through an elevator to the tower top with visitors walking down. I am assuming the elevator came down empty with visitors walking down. I recommend that physically impaired individuals should be able to use the elevator both up and down for the tower visit. There is no mention of physical restrictions on the tower visit. I purchased your tour because of the tower visit. We were looking forward to the views from the tower. Please revise your tour description to reflect handicap restrictions on the tower visit. We were disappointed and frustrated with tower visit restrictions.
Lupe was an extremely delightful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. We have used Viator previously. We highly recommend Viator.
The guide was fantastic. She was great with the big group. We loved the tower access. The church is very over crowded.
Guide was well-informed and provided a nice balance of history and anecdotes. The Sagrada was even more impressive this time than the first time we visited.
Guadalupe gave us a thorough, respectful introduction to this amazing church. We weren’t sure if a guided tour would suit us, but it is more than worth it to see and hear about the ongoing history of the Sagrada Família without being overwhelmed. It was the perfect amount of time and the visit to the tower and walking around on our own afterwards was perfect. nightly recommend!
Phenomenal. You must do the tower as we did as it creates a unique perspective. This building designed so long ago is so technically advanced for the period it was designed. Detail is amazing.
Tour guide was knowledgeable and super friendly. I had a great experience. I recommend this tour to everyone.
One of a kind experience and Mark was a great guide! Very knowledgeable, pleasant, and allowed time for questions.
The tour with Mark was good. Mark was very knowledgeable and covered most of the information would find in the museum. For those who are aged and may have mobility issues, Sagrada is not disabled friendly - not enough places to sit for the elderly and as it was a busy day, we were told that the lift to the tower would only take people up and they would have to take the stairs down! I have given 3 stars for the below reasons: We were supposed to start the tour at 11, but we waited a good 15mins for someone who didn’t turn up, meaning we lost 15mins of our tour. Also, it would have been helpful to state that there are stairs when you take the lift up to the tower which isn’t disabled friendly!
Great experience and our guide, Marc, was very good. The meeting place was not well defined and caused some problems at the beginning. Marc's paper sign was hard to see, and the landmark had removed its signage so as a tourist, I had trouble finding the group out of all of the people milling around. It was a lot of standing for my octogenarian in-laws.
Very informative, excellent guide named Guadalupe, very knowledgeable and interesting. Highly recommend this tour, which included elevator ride up the tower and walking down four hundred steps.
We had a family of 12, but unbeknownst to us, the tour included nearly 40 people, all trying to follow around one guide with a clip board. Several people in our group had difficulty with the listening devices and given the shear volume of people inside the venue, it was extremely difficult to stay with the guide. The weather was not good - very rainy, so hard to stand in the rain and listen to the guide describe the outside features of the cathedral. Due to the weather, there was no ability to go into the tower AND no refund or compensation for purchasing tickets with tower access.
We had a well-informed tour guide named Rosa. She was incredible and made everything so much better than we could have imagined.
The group was larger than I expected, but that was not a problem. The guide was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and easy to understand with a delightful sense of humor.
Wonderful experience, our guide was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable, great tour Highly recommend
My visit to LaSagrada Família was a hugely rewarding, emotional and fulfilling experience. IBE Tours - my guide was exceptional with her historical knowledge of the Basilica along with the history of Antoni Gaudi, her storytelling made the experience all that I knew it would be. Do not hesitate, you will experience a truly magnificent, unforgettable tour, see an impressive view over the gorgeous city of Barcelona if you choose the tower option, it’s a must you will never forget. IBE Tours thank you for making my wish come true and showing me an unforgettable experience.
The tour was fabulous. The The guide was energetic and extremly knowledgeable. Would recommend everyone see Sagrada Familia.
The tower option was cancelled. We need our refund soon. Please have the refund done as soon as possible
Great tour with a great tour guide. Two hours is a good intro and then you’re on your own for the tower and as much time as you’d like in the basilica. Rosa knew her stuff but also didn’t data dump so much that your eyes glazed over. :-)
Excellent guide and very interesting. Overall worth the cost, great experience.
Anna as our guide and she was fantastic. She was knowledgeable and presented in a wonderful way. We had a fantastic tour. Would definitely recommend this tour.
Helps with getting through the entrance and focusing on key aspects of the church knowing you can go back and look more at your own pace. The tower experience included a spiral staircase that tests your sense of equilibrium.
Our guide was prompt. Meeting location was changed well in advance with precise directions. Our guide moved at a nice pace for all (I was the slow guy). We had plenty of time to wander on our own.
Our guide, Guadalupe, was great. She arrived on time and was quite knowledgeable about the basilica. You could tell she was experienced and successfully led the group through the church and the outdoor area.
The tour is too long. You only stay in the one main room and learn about it. Could be done in 30 minutes
This was a breathtaking experience. Beauty everywhere you looked. Could have spent a lot more than the allotted time there.
It was great. She had a lot of knowledge about the Sagrada Familia history and the sculptures. Would highly recommend
The tour was interesting and our guide gave us a good overview about Gaudi’s philosophy, his deep faith which was the underpinning of the whole edifice and also his humility in which he said that he was not concerned about completing it himself . It was a project for others to carry on and complete . She showed us all the important features and explained the religious significance . She also showed us interesting snippets of information like the donkey Margarita who was modeled after the donkey of his neighbour . We enjoyed it very much .
Sagrada de Familia is amazing. Guests should be reminded that Sagrada is a place of worship and that respect and reverence be observed all the time.
Excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and pleasant
A worthwhile experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and excited to explain every facet of the church.
We found the meeting spot easily based on the information given. Our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job. After the guided tour was finished we were free to explore and go through the museums and gift shop at our leisure.
Allow adequate time to take in all the beauty of the Sagrada Família. I ended up spending 4 hours between the tour and exploring on my own.
The guide was very personable and informative but her English was difficult to understand at times. The main reason I booked this tour was to have access to the towers. When it was time for us to enter the elevators to go to the towers we were told the elevator was out of order! It was extremely disappointing. I find it hard to believe that our guide was not aware of this before our tour started. I recommend not going on the tour and use the audio that the venue supplies.
Great experience! Highly recommend, tower was a cool experience but definitely not if your unsteady on your feet
Need to improve meeting point markings. Very hard to locate. Tour is great. Highly recommend. Tour guide was great.
The tour itself was good, the issue was with the meeting point being changed and not receiving the email in a timely manner. It took multiple phone calls to get everything squared away so we can join the tour which was already in progress. Reason for the mixup was the tour organizers failure to designate a new meeting point due to construction. Tour guide was knowledgeable and answered all questions presented.
I feel like my rating would not have been fair for less than 4 stars because some of my negatives were solely personal. I have been to the Sagrada previously and knew a lot of the history already so the tour felt very repetitive for me (again this is a me problem). The only reason I booked this tour was because the tickets were sold out thru the official website for the Sagrada. I dont think the tour was worth the extra $70+ over the price of regular admission. There are so many groups there at the same time so it gets a bit uncomfortable in places, constantly having to move out of someone's way. I also wasn't sure what was going to be allowed in, I thought backpacks and larger bags were a no go but plenty of people had backpacks and water. I was dying for water by the end. Would I recommend for anyone with younger kids, no, would I recommend for someone that had never been inside and official website was sold out, YES! It is a must see lamdmark.
This tour was Fantastic & our tour guide Rosa was Awesome! She explained the history of Gaudi and the struggles in building the Sagrada. This tour took you through the Church and up into the upper chamber. It is a Must see!!!
Rosa was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. The tower was a great addition to the tour.
The interior was beautiful. Glad we did the tour. The outside does not do it justice. Somewhat crowded. Slightly difficult To understand the tour director through the headsets, but more my issue than hers.
Rosa was so informative. She knew all about the cathedral. We used earphones to hear her. Sometimes it was hard to understand, but her English was very good.
With the audio guides not being used by the Sagrada Família that day the tour group was too large to hear the lady doing it. She did her best but her voice was very high pitched and she was fighting a losing battle. The left the group part way through the tour has we had barely been able to hear a word she was saying.
The tour guide was horrible, worst travel guide I have had in 30 years. First she said she could not use the microphone and ear phone system but other tour groups had them and the self guided tours also had them. The elevator ride to the tower was closed due to rain and we were not advised beforehand or we would have cancelled tour and re-scheduled for another day. Her voice was high pitched, screechy and soft, most on tour could not hear her. I advised her twice that most on the tour could not hear her but it didn't change her tone. A couple of couples left the tour half way through. I have used Viator a number of times I would never use her on any tours. We still have not received a refund for the tower option.
Wow what an excellent tour guide. Learnt so much from our guide Yasir. Was a must see place to go. Thoroughly recommend
Very disappointing tour. Guide was knowledgeable, but group of 29 was far too large. We were not given QuietVox or other communications device, and in din of large crowds around us, we could hear very little of what guide said. Cost of $233 was significantly more than a direct booking with Sagrada Família for unguided recorded tour, which would have been much more informative. Meeting place was different for different members of our tour group so meeting was chaotic and delayed. And then there was the weather —- driving rain for much of the tour. Not the guide’s fault obviously, but added to disappointing tour, including cancellation of tower visit. We would not book with this tour company again.
Our tour guide Guadaloupe did an exceptional job at explaining the Sagrada. The tower allowed us to see the details up close and was worth it. Our guide gave us great tips on how to maximize out visit to Sagrada.
Our tour director,Carlos, was excellent despite a sudden downpour that hit us prior to getting into the Basilica. We did not get headphones because they were wet. There was a wait to get our tickets and we did not get up the tower due to the rain. Carlos was very gracious and persistent to give us the best tour he could under the circumstances. We really appreciated his knowledge.
