When you arrive at this tapas workshop, chef Alfonso will receive you with a refreshing natural lemonade or glass of champagne We introduce ourselves. Then he will show you the ingredients that we are going to use for each of the tapas, once they are done they will be served on the terrace where you could enjoy panoramic views of Barcelona. The house is located ten minutes walk from the beach, in Barceloneta, which is the fishermen's neighborhood. Alfonso our chef has studied at the Superior School of hotel business in Barcelona as a cook and he has also worked in different restaurants in the city, At the end of the experience all participants will receive a email with all the recipes, step by step Get ready to live an amazing experience!

Very hands on class, we learned so much! One thing we feel that is not adequately advertised is the view, it is incredible!! We were not able to eat on the rooftop due to weather but even the view from the apartment is beautiful! We'd love to do another class with them!

Amazing experience. Great couple. Tasty food. Beautiful home. My wife and i took the tour. We had so much fun cooking, laughing, and eating. We made the Spanish omelet when we returned home and it was so good we ate it all. Also when watching the world cup, we prepared some sangria. It was excellent and made me wish I had doubled the recipe. Please respect the chef, this is a cooking and eating class, not just for pictures on Instagram and TikTok.
Your hosts are super and have a fantastic rooftop deck. The food was great, the champagne a surprise, and we learned a lot.
This cooking class is a fantastic way to spend a few hours enjoying the hospitality of hosts Alfonso and Txema, who welcomed us into their home. Over the next few hours we were assisted in making Spanish omelette; Russian salad; gazpacho; mushrooms with shrimp; chicken croquettes; tomato and garlic toast; and sangria to accompany the meal. Afterwards we got to enjoy this fabulous food on their rooftop terrace! Thank you for sharing your home and passion of food with us!
The hosts were incredibly nice and welcoming. My daughter and I had so much fun learning how to make the different dishes. Chef Alfonso has all of the recipes dialed in. They were easily some of our favorite dishes we had in Barcelona! The view from their apartment is also spectacular. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
We had a great time! Excellent recipes of local foods. The chef was patient and took his time explaining the steps for preparation and detailed how to cook the dishes. I also really appreciate the recipes were provided via email as well! Everything was perfect! Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Such a charming host & teacher. Hands-on class. Made several simple tapas but not TOO simple. Chef Alfonso owned/had access to a wonderful rooftop garden filled with succulent plants that overlooked the spectacular port. This rooftop is where we actually ate what we created. Cooked in the apartment kitchen. Just a wonderful experience.

Our afternoon with Alfonso in his chic apartment overlooking the glitzy marina of Barcelona couldn't have been better. We were three of a group of seven welcomed into his kitchen where we got 'hands on' in the preparation of gazpacho, king prawn and mushroom tapas, Spanish omelette and of course sangria! The intimate setting was fabulous but when we were guided upstairs to stunning garden terrace to then feast on the fruits of our labour, was something else. It was one of the real highlights of our trip. Couldn't recommend it more highly...
Great experience with Chef Alfonso! He welcomed us into his home with spectacular views of the water and city. Bonus was his adorable dog that me and my partnered were obsessed with. Welcomed with cava and earned how to make many traditional tapas dishes. Really appreciated the flexibility for no shell-fish for my partner when communicated ahead of time. Prepared inside and had a lovely meal on the rooftop! Best view while eating we had during our trip. We got lucky and had a private experience as it was just the two of us for the day we booked. Would recommend and can’t wait to make these dishes back at home!

Amazing! A must do! Amazing hosts! Amazing space and spectacular location. You are greeted outside by Alfonso and taken up to a spacious and gorgeous flat! Then, you are offered a glass of champagne, water or a soda. The table is prepped and ready for you to go. Before you start cooking you go up stairs to an amazing roof deck with a spectacular view of all of Barcelona. My teenagers loved it too they could not believe the whole place and experience. We are excited to get our recipes and Alfonso was an excellent teacher. A must due with Alfonso and his amazing colleague. The food was filling and delicious!. Seriously the most special, unique, local, and amazing experience. We really went in not knowing what to expect and left with full bellies, big smiles, and gratitude. An experience to remember! Gracious rooftop dining (weather permitting) and wonderful indoor culinary food preparation — both with amazing harbor and city views. Every tapa prepared and savored was delicious along with the lovely sangria. Alfonso is the consummate host, a great instructor and fabulous chef. Great hands-on experience! Chef Alfonso welcomed us into his home, creating a vibe of just hanging out, chilling over glasses of cava, admiring the view, and making tapas with ease. Preparations were casual, chopping up some veggies for gazpacho, peeling shrimp, rolling croquets and then, it all came together for a spectacular meal! Left with a full stomach and confidence that we can make some delicious, authentic tapas!
What an amazing, intimate experience. We were welcomed into their home to learn to cook traditional Spanish dishes, then shared them on the beautiful rooftop overlooking the water. This was a great experience and a highlight of our trip to Barcelona. The hosts were wonderful. You are a guest in their home and you have the opportunity to make some of the most classical Barcelona tapas dishes from scratch including Spanish Omelet, croquettes, Russian salad, prawns, sangria and more. Wonderful rooftop to sit and relax and enjoy the creations together. Have been to Barcelona many times before, but this was one of the most wonderful experiences. You will not be disappointed by these gracious hosts and their amazing food and unique experience.

We had a fantastic couple of hours with Alfonso making a wide range of different tapas in his beautiful apartment. The views from the private roof terrace were spectacular (and we were lucky with the sunny weather). The food was delicious and Alfonso’s dog was very friendly too (and loves a croquette if you don’t manage to eat them all). Plenty of food, great company and superb views. Can’t ask for more than that!

It was very well organized and prepared, and it was great fun to cook some typical Spanish specialties together with friends and other nice guests. The flavors were truly world class and after the course, you will also receive the recipes so that you can recreate the dishes at home easily. We were satisfied!

The food preparation was fun and Chef Alfonso was informative and well organized. The food variety was great and plenty to eat. The whole experience was amazing! From start to finish, I came for my birthday and I don’t regret a thing! The food was amazing, especially the potato croquettes! The views of Port Vell and the rooftop lunch was a nice touch! Definitely would suggest this experience to my friends and loved ones!

This was a great experience and can highly recommend. Lovely hosts abd a beautiful apartment especially the rooftop garden where we ate our tapas ( and drank too much sangria). The food prep was fun and not difficult but we now feel inspired to make these recipes at home (recipes emailed to us already). We were also fortunate to have just one other couple at our event who were great company. Alfonso was knowledgeable and personable. Make sure you come hungry and don't book anywhere important for dinner later as this lovely meal kept me going for the rest of the day. Definitely a Barcelona highlight

This rooftop tapas and sangria class with Chef Alfonso was one of the absolute highlights of our trip! The setting alone was stunning — a sweeping, breathtaking view of Barcelona’s boat- and pier-side skyline that made the evening feel magical. What made it even more special was sharing the experience with a group of travelers from all different paths, coming together to cook, laugh, and enjoy the night. Alfonso’s passion for food and storytelling broke through in his demonstration as he shared his mother’s beloved croquettes recipe, guided us in preparing the freshest gazpacho I’ve ever tasted, and poured a sangria that was simply fabulous. He and his partner welcomed us so warmly into their home that it felt like an evening among old friends rather than a class. It was the perfect blend of authentic food, unforgettable views, and genuine hospitality — an experience we’ll treasure long after the trip. I’d come back too take another of his classes or just share a sangria in a nearby restaurant or bar. Highly recommended!

The highlight of our time in Barcelona. Chef Alfonso and Txema are wonderful hosts who made us feel welcome as family. Chef’s demonstrations and instructions were informative and sprinkled with a dose of Spanish humor. The food was delicious and plentiful. Nobody in the group went hungry, or could even finish all their portions! Highly recommended. Next time we are in Barcelona we will visit again!
