Itinerary
You will be picked up in a private vehicle at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona and start your private tour in the heart of the city. You will start the tour through the oldest part of the city - the charming Gothic Quarter - discover a maze of quaint, narrow streets full of Roman and medieval architecture. You will then visit the Cathedral, Jewish Quarter, and St. James Square. You'll be able to see part of the Roman wall and the medieval area of Barcelona. You end this portion of the tour with a visit to Santa Maria del Mar church in the Born district and then take a rest and you will be treated to breakfast at a local cafe.
Detailed explanation of exterior and facade.
After crossing the Jewish Quarter, we stop at Saint James Square where the City Hall of Barcelona and the Palau de la Generalitat are located.
The last portion of the walking tour, we visit the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar - exterior explanation.
Stop for breakfast with coffee and pastry overlooking the facade of the Basilica Santa Maria del Mar. (Bathroom break, etc)
Afterwards, you head over, in a comfortable private vehicle, to Montjuic - the site of the 1929 International Exposition and the 1992 Olympic Games and you visit one of the best viewpoints to see the city.
As we make our way toward Montjuïc, we’ll have the chance to admire a truly amazing sight from the vehicle: The Face of Barcelona. Rising dramatically in the distance at the port, this enormous sculpture captures immediate attention. Formed from a cascade of letters and symbols that seem to float in the air, each letter is uniquely placed, merging to create the silhouette of a colossal human face, giving the impression that the city itself is gazing toward the future.
Once we pass The Face of Barcelona, we’ll approach another of the city’s iconic landmarks: The Columbus Monument. From the vehicle, we’ll see its towering 60-meter column rising majestically above the port area. At its peak, the statue of Christopher Columbus stands tall, pointing toward the sea, as if inviting travelers to explore new horizons and reminding us of Barcelona’s historical significance as a starting point for great voyages of discovery.
Once we pass the Columbus Monument, we’ll head up Montjuïc toward one of the most stunning viewpoints in Barcelona: The Miramar Viewpoint. As we ascend, we’ll stop to fully appreciate the breathtaking beauty of the city. From this vantage point, we’ll have the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photographs of Barcelona’s skyline, the all set against the backdrop of the surrounding hills.
After visiting Miramar Viewpoint, we’ll continue our journey up Montjuïc, where we’ll catch sight of another of Barcelona’s cultural gems: The Miró Foundation. From the vehicle, we’ll be able to appreciate the striking architecture of this renowned art museum, perched on the hillside overlooking the city.
Once we pass the Miró Foundation, we’ll continue our journey up Montjuïc and soon come across the Olympic Stadium. From the vehicle, we’ll be able to appreciate the grandeur of this historic stadium, which hosted the 1992 Summer Olympics. The iconic structure, with its impressive façade and surrounding area, stands as a testament to Barcelona’s Olympic legacy. On certain days, the stadium is open to the public, and if we’re lucky, we may even get a glimpse of the interior. Visitors can explore the stadium and its surroundings, but perhaps most intriguing of all is the Olympic Museum, located nearby. This museum offers fascinating exhibits on the history of the Olympic Games, showcasing the spirit of competition and the athletic achievements that defined the 1992 Barcelona Games.
Once we pass the Olympic Stadium, our journey will take us to the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC), an iconic building that stands majestically on the Montjuïc hill
After seeing MNAC we will pass by the famous Casa Batlló, one of Antoni Gaudí's most iconic works, located on Passeig de Gràcia. This masterpiece of Catalan modernism is known for its undulating, colorful façade, evoking natural shapes like bones and dragon scales. Although we won’t stop, we’ll have the opportunity to admire it from our private transport, allowing us to appreciate its stunning architecture in all its glory as we continue our tour of the city.
From there, we'll continue down to Spain Square and the Eixample district, in a private vehicle, and pass by the impressive modernist buildings as we continue on to the Sagrada Familia. Here, you'll learn all about the history and the intriguing mystical symbolism of the Basilica, tour the outside facades that are still under construction and see the incredible interior that will leave you speechless. In addition to a detailed explanation of the facades from your private guide, you will also have skip-the-line tickets to go inside.
After lunch, you'll continue to Parc Guell on Tibidabo mountain where the city is beneath your feet and you can admire the marvelous city gardens - another astounding Antoni Gaudi designed UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking tour through the public areas and skip-the-line tickets to the monumental area of the park.
Last, you'll visit the zenith of Gaudi’s work, a true masterpiece - La Pedrera. Here, again, you will skip the line and go straight in. You will get to see the interior of this unique building, a private acquisition for the Mila family, and afterwards you will get to go up to the roof and enjoy a unique perspective of Passieg de Gracia below. Explanation of the exterior and facade and skip-the-line tickets to go inside, and we take you to the rooftop. Then we take you back to your hotel or apartment in Barcelona city. Due to the scheduled maintenance of La Pedrera, this tour will instead visit Casa Batllo on all tours booked from January 13th - 19th.

Xavier was absolutely fantastic! So knowledgeable about Barcelona history and in general. I highly recommend him and would request him again
Was a great way to see the city and get educated about the sites. Was personal, friendly and gave excellent recommendations and advice
This one day private tour of Barcelona was wonderful. Our guide, Xavi, was a very good guide, explaining the main points of the places we visited in a very short time. If I come back to Barcelona again, I would definitely appoint him.
We originally signed up for the tour of Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia that picked up up at hotel but there were not enough signed up. They offered us a private tour for a 20% discount and it was the best choice we have ever made! Our guide, Montse Marques, was fabulous. We got so many extra little perks with the private tour -a coffee stop with pastry, a lunch, and all ticket prices includes. She was the most informed guide ever and pointed out so many interesting things taht we had missed the day before when we were just walking around on our own. The communication with We Are Guides was great -they told us who would be driving us and who our guide would be ahead of time. Montse met us in the hotel lobby and our driver was always waiting for us as we went from place to place. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER !
We enjoyed the private tour. We beat the larger groups and were able to move at our own pace. We especially enjoyed learning about the amazing history.
Gloria and the driver were amazing. Gloria was knowledgeable, fun and informative. She showed us everything and explained everything Well. The driver was courteous, professional, and on time every time All our needs were taken care of. It was just an amazing day.
The Private Barcelona Tour was THE way to visit the “must see” sites in the city. Miguel (our guide) and Ivan (our driver) did an amazing job sharing their love and knowledge of the city with our family of five. It was a perfect blend of walking and riding from spot to spot. Skip the lines with included tickets to sold out tourist sites. We stopped for pastries and coffee in the morning and a delicious jamon, bread and wine lunch - both included in the cost of the tour. It was a perfect day. Thank you guys!!
We had a really nice day with Anna. She was very knowledgeable about each of the sites we visited. The conversations were relaxed and informative. We really enjoyed the day.
Totally worth it! Arturo was a Great Tour Guide and Jorge the driver was great too! We hit the key places in Barcelona.
This was a comprehensive experience of some of the most historic elements in Barcelona. Our guide, Montsey, was exceptional as her passion, enthusiasm, and knowledge really helped us to understand how these elements fit into the history of Barcelona & of Spain. This was well worth the cost as we had a great deal to cover in a short period of time and the included transportation, skip-the-line tickets, and lunch really helped us to maximize our time for these key elements.
Lovely day in a beautiful city! Had a great time with our guide Miguel! He was fun and personable and had an easy pace so we were able to stop in shops or take tons of photos as we desired. We were picked up right outside our ship (good thing as the port is enormous!), and went straight to the Gothic Quarter. This was a very nice 2-hour stroll in the quiet morning streets. Next was snack time with cava wine in front of a basilica. Then up to Montjuïc to see the 1992 Olympic stadium and views of the city. Then lunch and on to 3 of architect Gaudi’s masterpieces. First was his famous church, La Sagrada Familia. Just wow! Then to Parc Guell, my personal favorite. And finally to Casa Mila or La Pedrera. Beautiful day in a beautiful city! Highly recommend! Note that you will not have enough time to go up into the spires of the church.
We had a fantastic trip! Our guide Miguel was very knowledgeable and had a lot of good recommendations for the rest of our trip. The pace was perfect and the wine and food being included was a nice touch. Our driver was punctual and courteous. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Barcelona!

We enjoyed a full packed day of comfort and ease travelling with our expert guide Miguel and brilliant driver. We saw so many unique and phenomenal sites and places full of wonder and brilliance. Miguel was passionate friendly and so so insightful giving us a genuine feel and experience of Barcelona and it’s many flavours too. We felt at the end of our tour we had really had seen, tasted and learnt so much of Barcelona with a friend to make sure we got the best of the best. Highly highly recommend this tour with Miguel and his passion and love for the city is contagious and you will see why. Amazing we love Barcelona! Thanks Miguel .
Miguel was fantastic! Very knowledgeable! highly recommend taking a private tour. Skipped all the lines were able to get into sold out venues.
We were picked up by our guide at the port where our ship was docked. The car was a large and comfortable SUV. Very clean. Our driver knew his way and our guide knew the city so well. She is from We Are Guides, Barcelona. Her name Montse Marques. We spent a wonderful day together that we will never forget. Everywhere we went our driver dropped us at a convenient location and was waiting for us when we were ready to go on to the next destination. Montse had the skip the line tickets for us at La Sagrada. We entered and she pointed out details of every space , both inside and out. She knew where to stand to see everything in the best light and for the best pictures, too. Our driver took us to Mont Juic and we saw the most beautiful views. Montse explained all along of this area. Our driver took us to the Gothic Quarter as they were preparing for a festival, as Montse told us the history of the festival and the 'Giants' characters we saw getting ready for the parade. She pointed out details of traces of the war and we went to an adorable cafe to rest and have a coffee and croissant. We were again met by our driver and taken to Park Guell the Gaudi house and later La Pedrera. Montse continued, all the while with her wonderful passion and knowledge to explain all there was to know to us. Our driver met us once more and brought us to a delicious ham shop where we ate the famous Iberico ham and drank perfectly spicy wine for our lunch as Montse explained more about her beloved city. After we finished she knew the right place to shop for the best gifts and candy and our driver even carried our shopping bags for us. They were a wonderful pair of guides, playing local flaminco music and opera for us as we drove through the city. We loved every minute! Worth every dollar!
We had a fabulous full day of touring with Miguel and his driver! Highly recommend. Miguel is a kind, thoughtful tour guide who managed to show us all the sites without us ever feeling shortchanged by time. He answered all our questions and had thoughtful recommendations for our remaining time in the city. We will definitely contact him for additional tours when we return to Barcelona!
Miguel was an awesome guide. He was personable and knowledgeable. So great to go at our own pace to see all these wonderful places and sights.
Miguel was so personable and very knowledgeable about all the history. We never felt rushed and had an excellent experience. We got to go ahead of the masses when we got in line. We had an amazing driver Andrea as well. Not only that he was an amazing photographer.
Incredible day with Miguel! He picked us up right on time at our hotel! He was engaging and fun right from the start - which was important for the 6 teenagers in the group. We are a family group of 12 with our older parents and teens. He kept the whole group engaged and moved at our speed all day. He was sensitive to my older father who needed elevators but showed the teenagers the stairs - so they could run down. We learned so much and saw all the major places in Barcelona. He also told us where to go back to later. This tour was from 8:30 to 4:30 with a morning coffee and pastry morning break and a Cava and ham sandwich Break in afternoon. He also helped us take the best family pictures! We loved every minute! Wish we could take Miguel with us for the rest of our trip!
We spent a delightful day with Miguel. He is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and a lovely person. We visited various spots in Barcelona. We never felt rushed and the tour never dragged on. It was the perfect pace with well timed rest and snack spots. Sitting with Miguel in the cafe and restaurant, we were impressed by his commitment to his clients. At the end of the day Miguel provided excellent suggestions for dinner and more sightseeing spots. We would highly recommend a tour with Miguel.
Miguel was a fantastic tour guide. He knew so much of the city and spent lots of time showing us all the spots of Barcelona. We had a very pleasant authentic Catalonia lunch. I am very glad we chose this experience.
Our tour with Cristina was fantastic! She was patient, professional, and knowledgeable about the city’s history, and the famous architects. She even provided great suggestions on where to go for the next part of our vacation in Rome! Cristina is highly recommended!
If ever there was a time to visit the colorful, magical, and mysterious city of Barcelona, it is NOW! America, I am talking to YOU! Get your shots, upload your Covid test, and land your feet in this wondrous city that is safer, genteel, aesthetically more gorgeous, and WITHOUT ANY CROWDS. It is rare that one can simply walk into Sagrada Familia in 30 seconds. We had the most passionate, friendly, and knowledgeable guide, Miguel Suarez, who took my husband and I on a personalized eight hour sojourn through the beating hearts of Barcelona. We shared coffee, croissants, lunch with locals, and a journey through old city and Antonio Gaudi’s breathtaking legacies. We enjoyed every second and so should you. America’s cities are, at present, crowded and rising in crime. Even America’s National Parks are experiencing record attendance and long lines. Not so in this bastion of tapas and beauty that is Barcelona. The time to visit this splendid beachside jewel box is now! Book your tickets, your tests, and your escape into the European adventure you’ve been longing for!!
All of it! Barcelona is beautiful. Montse, our guide, was so great. Just lively young lady who showed us her Barcelona. She has so much knowledge of the city. We really liked that it was just us on the tour cause you could ask questions and go at your own pace. We were not rushed nor did the tour drag. The pace was just right. Our driver was prompt and ready to pick us up whenever we were ready. Loved the earlier morning part of tour as city was just getting going around 9am and streets were more quiet and uncrowded. We enjoyed a mid morning break of coffee and croissants at a lovely cafe in Santa Maria square. Of course, all the Guadi places were quite amazing - Casa Mila, Park Guell and la Sagrada church. Montse was a font of interesting history notes for all the sites. We highly recommend this private tour and our guide, Montse. It was a bit expensive but well worth it.
Hi, This review is about the Full Day Guided Tour & Skip the Line:Sagrada Familia, Park Güell & La Pedrera. First I thought the tour was a little pricey, but it was worth it! Our guide Miguel Suarez was excellent! Respectful, attentive, and very knowledgable of Catalonian history. We highly recommend this tour and Miguel as your guide for english, and spanish speaking visitors. Enjoy Barcelona to the fullest! No es un precio alto si el servicio recibido es de excelencia. Estamos agradecidos!
We had such a great day with Miguel! He is an official licensed guide in Barcelona which gets him into areas other guides can’t, so you’ll see things on his tour that you’d never have access to otherwise. We also saved hours of waiting in line. We had true skip the line access to every site we visited. Miguel is also extremely knowledgeable about the city and it’s history and seems to really enjoy sharing that knowledge with his clients. I highly recommend this tour - thank you We Are Guides for a wonderful day!
We really enjoyed our day with Miguel! He was very knowledgeable about the area and answered all of our questions while giving us an education on the sites. He always had us walking downhill. His suggestions for restaurants were spot on I would take another tour with him if we were staying in Barcelona longer.

Wonderful Marina guide as a person and how she does her job. We spent two days with her and are super pleased with how she made us appreciate even more the already beautiful monuments of them. Very professional and nice driver. You can ask a thousand questions and they will always answer you with a smile and a very clear and thorough answer.
We understand that there are many other alternatives to know the places mentioned in the tour. Possibly with better services.
