Barcelona Tailored Tapas & Drinks Tour With A Native Guide

I had a delightful experience with Elvira. She tailored the tour to my interests and was incredibly flexible as the tour progressed. She provided SO much interesting information about not just Barcelona’s amazing culinary offerings but also history and culture. She took me to places I never would have found myself, some spots where she knew the owners who were eager to provide a great experience. I highly recommend booking time with Elvira if you’re lucky enough to be in Barcelona.

Have been to Barcelona before but mainly for work and never had the extra time to really explore the city properly. Found GoLocal Barcelona online. What an amazing way to not only explore the city but learn more about its food scene, history, culture and architecture through a walking tour guided by - a local! She shared her personal favourite places and each one was an absolute jewel. Neat little tucked away places I would never have found on my own. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful tour with Alex! He was so welcoming and we appreciated his flexibility and care in making sure our young kids also had an enjoyable experience. Beyond the amazing food, he was so knowledgeable and helpful in sharing thoughtful recommendations for the rest of our trip. Would not hesitate to book the tour again!

Enjoyable tour but note that food is not included. I have been on several food tours and that was a first. However, it was a delightful tour and Elvira is a very good tour guide. She takes you off the beaten touristy area which was quite enjoyable!

We paid way too much money for this tour. I think doing a food tour needs to really stand out. We have high tastes and the food ordered for us were honestly more like tv dinners and typical American fried food. In hindsight I should have booked one of our favorite restaurants because it still would have been cheaper and more exciting food wise. We did really enjoy hearing our guide’s experiences and history with the community and food. I realized that we have really enjoyed the experience tours with Viator (like about history, etc), but food is too personal. Just my opinion.

My last time in Barcelona was Spring 1969 as I was driving to Sitges. This time I spent 4 nights there with a friend and we hired Elvira for 2 nights of fun, food, and Spanish frolic! She knew where to take the 4 of us, which TAPAS to order, and everyone was amazing! We went to places most tourists would pass on the street! She knew the folks that ran the cafes and restaurants and we were served fast some of the best food and drinks ever! I would recommend Everyone who travels to Barcelona to hire Elvira for a food tour! She’s so positive, fun AND speaks perfect English! My best 2 nights in Barcelona was with Elvira!!

We had a great time on our tour with Alex, who was an incredible guide. From the very beginning, he was gracious, welcoming, and highly knowledgeable about Spanish food culture. Fun food tour in Barcelona. We got a chance to check out Santa Caterina, a local restaurant and wine/cheese shop. It was fun to walk around the Gothic Quarter with Alex. He was very patient and accommodating.

I visited Barcelona for the first alone and I dont regreat booking this tour, Elvira show me the local culinary areas far from tourist and I learnt a lot about the local food and culture :)

We had an absolute blast with Alejandro!! We went to a variety of tapas bars, and he tailored the tour to what we were feeling in the moment. We loved the places he took us to so much that we revisited them multiple times throughout our trip! There are a lot of options when it comes to tapas tours, so please look no further. This was hands down the best tapas tour you could ask for! I can’t say enough good things about Alejandro and our experience. He was the best!!! Definitely the highlight of our time in Spain!

Alejandro was great! We had a great time and ate some great tapas. Also went to a market where we were able to buy jamon and cheese.

We had a fantastic tour with Elvira. I’d requested to change the meet up time and then the location before we met and Elvira was really accommodating and ensured that the change of plan would mean we’d still have an excellent tour. She told us all about the local food and made sure we tried new things from places we either wouldn’t have known about or ventured inside. We had a great evening with Anna, not only did we visit 3 tapas bars and had some fabulous food but we learnt a lot about the local history of Barcelona as well. Ana is an excellent host , we saw places that only a local would know about and tasted things that only a local would order.
