We loved our tour with Kat! She was very warm and friendly and had interesting facts/stories to share about all of the art she pointed out on the tour. She showed us so many things that we continued to notice and look out for throughout our trip. It was a great way to get to know the neighbourhood and notice things we never would have seen on our own. She also had great recommendations for other things to do in Barcelona. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic! Tour guide (and owner) is wonderful, super-knowledgable about the street art community and culture, with an academic background in art history -- great combo! Entire 2 hours was filled with insight that I could not have gotten any other way. Very enjoyable time, highly recommend
Great experience! Juan gave us an insider perspective of the Barcelona street art scene. 2 hours is just right. They accommodated our request for a private tour. Do it!
This tour gives you an opportunity to see some of the city's gorgeous murals and learn about the local art scene. Great experience, very knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide was Anya and she was an amazing tour guide. She gave us a lot of information and answered all of our questions. She was also really kind and made sure everyone was doing okay with the heat.
This was a great way to learn about the city on our 1st day in town. Our guide was very engaging and knowledgeable, and we got to see some great art! Fun experience!
What a unique way to experience Barcelona! Highly recommend if you want to see parts of Barcelona that are less common. Luke knows an incredible amount about each piece and his passion resonates through this experience. Probably a highlight of my trip in Barcelona
Luke was very friendly and easy-going, quick to answer questions online (both before and after the tour), tailored the tour to our interests and even spent more time on our tour than we'd booked. He knew what he was talking about and showed us the hidden gems we probably wouldn't have found (or understood) on our own. The artists at the studio were also very friendly; they showed us what they were currently working on and told us about their work in general, which was also very interesting.
Great tour! Kat was a wonderful guide and we learned so much about the Barcelona art scene. Highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic way to see Barcelona and learn about its incredible street art culture. Anya oir guide was absolutely brilliant, she knew so much about everything and did th tour in Spanish and English flawlessly. If you love street art and you want to explore the city, I couldn’t recommend this more.
We were very impressed! The tour was informativ, and fantastique, the quide Kat absolutely lovely!……………………………………..
It was a very cool experience, talking and walking for 2 hours with very nice and interesting guide, being in places with less tourists and getting inspiration from the galleries and a parallel street art world, seeing Barcelona from a different angle :-) Was fun to look for and to find street art everywhere on our walks through the city afterwards, which we wouldn't notice otherwise. So many great artists in Barcelona!
The street art tour was amazing, the host being an artist herself was able to share a lot of insight into the various techniques and styles. Also, ended up meeting some artists from the gallery doing interesting work. Highly recommend!
The most special part of the tour was that our guide Juan is a local street artist and was able to give us a unique perspective on the art scene here. We even got to see some of his pieces! The other highlight was the studio visit. Getting to see works in progress and speak to other artists and hear their stories was an experience that immensely enriched my visit to Barcelona.
Loved the street art tour with Juan as our guide. We have previously done street art tours in other cities (London, Lisbon, Malaga, Madrid, Athens) but this was the first time the tour took us to the artist's studios to meet some of the artists. This made the whole time so much more interesting. If you're interested in street art, this is a "must" tour while in Barcelona.
We toured with Kat, a local artist who was warm and incredibly knowledgable, she really brought the art and the community of artists that create it to life (and had even helped in the making of one of the pieces we saw!). A very genuine visit and relaxed walk around the vibrant La Ravale area and beautiful streets in the Gothic Quarter. At the end Kat took us to her studio, a collective of local artists, where we met other artists and had the opportunity to ask about their work. The highlight of our stay in Barcelona, great value and we highly recommend!
Luke made us see things we hadn't noticed before, discover a huge variety of works and the community of artists behind those works in such a lively way that made us see some of Barcelona's neighbourhoods with completely new eyes. You should absolutely join Luke on this passionate journey... as early as possible in your stay!
Luke has a rich knowledge and passion for street art and he shares this with behind the scenes insights . Highly recommended tour.
I booked the Insider Street Art Tour as a surprise for my son who does and is into street art. We were both blown away by the magical two hours with Kat & other artists. It was great to know so much of BCN street art scene and the artists in only two hours. We really enjoyed the possibility to have inspiring peaks into artists workspaces and talks with them. We also got good tips where to find even more street art and where to go for music gigs. The versatile tour left us overwhelmed by everything we had seen and heard. We had to sit down afterwards for quite a while to reflect on the unique experience. We couldn't have been happier with Kat nor the content. She knows so much and made us feel welcome and relaxed. Thank you for this cool experience!
Barcelona's street art scene is renowned and worth learning more about. This walking tour should be on any visitor's "to do" list. This walking tour was informative and interesting and well paced. Juan's delivery was clear and he provided important cultural context about how Barcelona came to be the site of such a cosmopolitan, varied street art community. We also were able to visit a shared studio of some of the artists whose work we had just learned about on the tour. The studio hosts receptions for the shows held in the front of the space, and there are small works of art (and some wonderfully repurposed spray cans!) that can be purchased on site. I plan to return just for that purpose. Some original art by local artists would be a great memento for myself and gift for friends.
Such an enriching experience on the art tour. I came here looking for some inspiration as an artist and an art teacher for work and personal soul filling experiences, this delivered 100%!! In terms of the information and one to one feels and the length of time this is such good value for money, I would have never known so much and the glimpse into the artist studios was sooo good made me feel VIP! Luke is also a native English speaker and has great local knowledge, so if you have any questions he’s a brilliant person to ask for information. This is reassuring quality when travelling solo. Thank you so much!!
Ok this was the greatest tour - if you do one thing (even amongst all the amazing things to see in Barcelona!) THIS IS THE THING TO DO!!! It is such a unique way not only to see the city but to really get to know the city!! Luke knows so much about the city the political commentary and the artists, and was so personable!! We actually got to meet some of the artists and ended by going to galleries after seeing the art across the city. Do this! You will be so happy to went. My parents were visiting a couple weeks after me and I told them to go and they had the best time too.
Loved the street art tour, Luke was lovely very knowledgeable and fun tour really enjoyed seeing the studio spaces and meeting the artists
Our street art tour with Luke was fantastic! Knowing nothing about street art in Barcelona, Luke gave us a really great introduction into the politics, legalities and the artists involved with the street art scene. In the two-hour tour we visited different areas where established and emerging street artists create art, we discussed how they came to be and enjoyed the conversations that came up through our questions and Luke's wealth of knowledge. We travelled back through these neighbourhoods a couple of days later and went to other galleries and enjoyed this experience more because of the knowledge we had gained on the tour. As we walked the streets we were able to pick out certain street art that we may not have noticed before, or understood why it was there. 100% recommend for people interested in learning about Barcelona's street art scene.
Absolutely exceptional. I did this tour a week ago whilst I was visiting Barcelona, and it was simply the best thing that I did whilst I was in Barcelona. I’m still telling people about the tour. I love art, and I particularly love art history. Luke, who is the owner and guide of Art Space tours has studied art history and has exceptional knowledge of art and also Barcelona culture. The time we were together on his tour just flashed by… It was so enjoyable, so informative, and so fascinating learning about the contemporary art scene in the city. We visited four galleries, met artists and owners and looked at and discussed their artwork and the inspiration for their creativity. Learning about how some of the artists use social media to promote their art was so intriguing. Seriously, I didn’t want the tour to end and could’ve kept going all evening. In addition we walked through the laneways of old Barcelona and looked at buildings of significance and at public art work. It added another dimension to learning about Barcelona‘s culture. Meeting some of the artists and gallery owners was a real thrill. You never ever get that opportunity when taking a tour. I can cannot express how much I loved and learnt so much with Luke. My only regret is that I didn’t go back and visit one of the galleries and buy some artwork from one of the exhibiting artists. But, next time!! I would do this tour again in a heartbeat and have already recommended it to a friend visiting Barcelona. Thank you, Luke. You really do provide an exceptional experience.
I love exploring street art when I’m visiting a new city and really enjoyed this tour! Luke was a super knowledgable guide and it was great to chat to him about the Barcelona art scene. My family also had a great time and loved seeing the artists studios.
Interesting, incentive with insider knowledge of the graffiti workd Highly recommend! Loved the gallery visit at the end
I would not recommend this tour to anyone. I've been on many Street Art tours around the world, this one was the worst. The guide had zero knowledge of barcelona art scene, it's artists or the places worth looking at. A complete waste of 2 hours. Just showing us some random grafitti, scribbles here and there, walking us through basic things like poster art which any passerby can explore on their own. Disappointed to the core.
This great experience was one of the highlights of our Barcelona trip. We learned so much about street art from Luke and started to see so many cool signature tags and artists that we never would have noticed as we walked around Barcelona for the rest of our trip. Luke is a gem, and the opportunity to visit artist studios and talk to artists about their work made the experience all the richer and more fantastic.
I got interested in street art recently. But all I knew were words 'graffiti', 'murals' and Banksy. I wished to learn more. This tour was perfect to explore the topic deeper. Our tour guide Juan took us to various places around town and showed us and told us about different recent street art projects including his. Followed by visiting a real art studio where real street and modern artists work. We met two in person and got a chance to observe their creative work in progress. The street art tour was a fascinating experience, offering just the right balance of insight and exploration. Juan, a gentleman and a passionate artist himself, brought a personal touch to the tour, sharing his knowledge without overwhelming us with information. His enthusiasm for the art and the stories behind the art pieces made the experience engaging. The tour allowed plenty of time to take in the vibrant pieces, ask questions, and even spot details we might have otherwise missed. Highly recommended!
The Barcelona Street Art Tour is offering an incredible glimpse into the vibrant art scene of the city. Our guide, Anya, was not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also wonderfully engaging and enthusiastic, bringing the stories behind the art to life in a captivating way. The highlight of the experience was visiting the studio of the fabulous artist Ashwan, whose inspirational creations left us truly awestruck. Very recommended.
Luke did a fantastic job bring us into the scene. The streets where great and essential. Going into the studios and meeting some of the artists was next level.
We really enjoyed this tour as it allowed us to engage with the current cultural life of the city not just its historic past. It also added value to the rest of our stay as we were so much more aware of the street art and installations across the rest of the city.
Juan and Anya hosted us on a lovely art walk in the Raval and Gothic neighborhoods. We’ve been to Barcelona many times but this tour gave a unique view of a neighborhood not often explored by tourists. Both guides are artists themselves so hearing their impressions of the neighborhood and the art we saw made it extra special. We enjoyed being given the opportunity to see the artist studios as well. Highly recommend this for something different to do in this busy touristy city!
Wonderful experience seeing and learning about the street art in Barcelona center. Guides Juan and Anya were superb in explaining the art, sharing artist insights and keeping the group engaged. Finishing at Canal Gallery, also a highlight, as the group had time see more art and to chat further.
This is a highly recommended walking tour of street art in El Raval, Barri Gòtic and Jardim de Les Tres Xemeneies. The tour was the best walking tour of street art I have experienced. There are several reasons for this. First is these neighborhoods. They are enchanting, historical and intriguing. Second, the artwork was tremendous. Artists from across the world have their work presented on the walls of these neighborhoods. Amazing murals, magical graffiti script and comical wall installations are easily accessible and beg to be photographed. The artistic expression crosses culture, integrates a varierty of styles from realism to surrealism, and engages the viewer with comic reaction, social commentary and political awareness and engagement. Finally, I would like to offer my thanks to our guide Juan. He has a deep understanding of street art and the various interpretations of this art form in modern urban societies. Juan is a working artist and has deep connections with many of the artists from Barcelona whose work was the focus of the tour. Juan was able to analyze the relationship that the community has toward mural painting and graffiti walls, the process of actually engaging in the art form, and the various issues connected to interpretations of each work and stylistic choices made by the artists. Juan is extremely knowledgeable about his craft, engaging with his audience, and greets his audience with respect. Ultimately, Juan made this tour what it was. The last part of the tour of visiting galleries and meeting local artists in Barcelona was an experience I had not had before. It made for a great closure to a wonderful experience.
Great tour if you want to discover hidden treasures of street art, it was cool to find out the story behind every piece of (street) art, from the biggest one to the smallest one that would be also difficult to discover without the guys! We also absolutely love visiting the laboratory when some artists create and meet them! The art space’s guys are so friendly! Had a lot of fun with them and the rest of the group ♥️
First of all, this tour is led by practitioners like Katharyn, a practicing, artists. Hence real authenticity and sense of context. She seamlessly weaves stories of individual artists, their styles, into larger narratives like urban gentrification and politics, Palestine these days. The story telling was great and Katharyn was energetic and generous. We had a ball. Highly recommended.
Juan was great! He is quite knowledgeable and clearly enjoys his work. I loved having the opportunity to see the artists’ studio.
This is a great tour. Katharyn was an excellent guide and the folks at the gallery were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely book this tour if you are in Barcelona.
This was a great way to learn about the art throughout the city. Juan was knowledgeable and provided great insight to several of the pieces we got to observe.
5 Star Sep 2024 • Couples Walking around Barcelona it is hard to miss all the graffiti and street art.....one often dismisses it as vulgar or occasionally stops to appreciate one that stands out...My husband and I decided to take a tour for a better understanding of this very visible urban expression. WOW Absolutely LOVED this tour! There is history, different creative styles, a whole culture and movement. Our Guide Juan not only toured us to areas of Barcelona we had never previously explored; he is also a street artist and part of this creative culture. Some of these Street Artists have been elevated to gallery level work. There were a few opportunities to meet some of these artists and watch them in action. We left with a new perspective that we carried with us through our next few days in Barcelona; pointing out images; talking about styles; getting excited when we would discover another piece by the artists in far reaching areas of the city. I am so glad we took a chance on this tour.
I took the street art tour with Juan and it was super. He is an artist, and really knows the stories behind the art and neighborhoods. We concluded with a fascinating visit to some working artist studios, and the artists were friendly and eager to talk about their work. Great way to see a vibrant and alive Barcelona outside the familiar tourist spots,
I had a blast exploring and hunting down street art in Barcelona! Our tour guide, Luke, was very open, engaging, and passionate about street art and graffiti. The tour started at the Jardin de les Treis Xemeneies (Garden of the Three Chimneys) which is a graffiti and skatepark space that's open to the public. From there, we went to the open-air Arnau Gallery before Luke lead us through the El Raval and Gothic Quarter areas of the city where we saw many murals on walls and storefront gates. The tour ended with a visit to the BienCuadrado artist studio and the Canal Gallery. For anybody who enjoys street art and wants to explore off-beat neighborhoods in Barcelona, I recommend signing up for a tour with Luke at Artspace Tours Barcelona!

Luke had a great insiders knowledge and art appreciation. We had a great time with him. Small group, lots of fun, so cool. Highly recommend seeing parts of Barcelona that most would not know about.
I'm a big street art fan so it was great learning the history of street art in relation to Barcelona and how it came to its prominence here. We booked this tour via Airbnb and got to see all kinds of street art in several areas of the city and then got a tour through a studio of several artists! Since it was just me and my friend and her daughter that showed up for this experience, our tour ended up going a bit longer. One thing to note: though drinks are advertised with the airbnb experience, we never got any, so not sure if that's still part of what you sign up for but either way it was a great way to see parts of Barcelona and learn about how the different artists and neighborhoods express themselves through street art. Pro-tip: There is some GREAT art and artists in the studio. My one regret was not being able to purchase art while I was there - please tell your guide that you're interested in shopping around before you leave the studio as you won't get the chance to go back if it's later in the day.
Really cool way to experience a city - the gallery tour I originally booked didn’t make it because I was the only person who booked so Artspace offered me to go on a street art tour which turned out to be fantastic! Our guide, Juan, was super knowledgeable about the 40-50 graffiti pieces and the artists behind them that we saw walking about 3/4 mile through the area and a couple of galleries which featured street artists work. Very cool experience! Loved it! Gracias!
One of the best art tours I’ve been on. Luke knew so much about the history of Barcelona and the street artist. We ended the tour with meeting an artist! !
Really bad experience. The guide did not show up and tow days later, after two emails, I have not received any update as to why the guide did not show up
