Itinerary
Standing opposite the Vila Olímpica neighbourhood, it was built in 1990 during the redevelopment of this area of Barcelona. The marina was designed by the architects Oriol Bohigas, Josep Martorell, David Mackay and Albert Puigdomènech. The city needed a sports marina which would meet exacting standards, and it was the site of the sailing competitions during the 1992 Olympic Games. The marina has 756 berths for yachts and its entrance is visible from anywhere in Barcelona. The two skyscrapers on either side are the Mapfre Tower and the Hotel Arts, with Frank Gehry's spectacular goldfish sculpture at its base, and nearby, the Gran Casino de Barcelona. Lovers of water sports can go yachting or practise other types of sailing techniques here, and in the summertime, the beaches on either side of the marina – Somorrostro and Nova Icària – are the perfect place for sunbathing or for a cooling dip in the sea.
The Fish sculpture by the architect Frank Gehry, who won the Pritzker Prize in 1989, has become one of the symbols of post-Olympic Barcelona and looks as if it is bobbing along on the waters of the Mediterranean. The sunlight is reflected in the scales of this sculpture that presides over the waterfront of the Olympic Marina and Barcelona's beaches. In 1992, the pristine Olympic Barcelona was transforming its seafront. A new Olympic Marina was taking shape, presided over by its twin towers. On one side stood the Mapfre Tower; on the other was the Hotel Arts. Frank Gehry placed his fish sculpture at the foot of the hotel. The animal is 56 metres long and 35 metres high and seems to be longing to jump into the blue waters of the Mediterranean.
Port Vell, literally in English "Old Harbor" is a waterfront harbor in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, and part of the Port of Barcelona. It was built as part of an urban renewal program prior to the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Before this, it was a run-down area of empty warehouses, railroad yards, and factories. 16 million people visit the complex each year It is now a focal point of the city and tourist attraction, containing the Maremàgnum (a mall containing shops, a multiplex cinema, bars and restaurants), IMAX Port Vell and Europe's largest aquarium containing 8000 fish and 11 sharks contained in 22 basins filled with six million litres (1.6 million US gallons) of seawater. A pedestrian walkway, Rambla de Mar, connects La Rambla to Port Vell It incorporates a swing bridge, in order to allow ships to enter and exit the harbour

This boat tour exceeded my expectations. The small group tour was so relaxing and peaceful, that I don't think any of us wanted to disembark! Eduardo, our Skipper, was absolutely perfect! He let each of us "take a turn at the wheel." He was attentive and clearly knowledgeable. We managed to enjoy a perfectly smooth ride on a beautiful day! And we did enjoy a beautiful sunset! I would highly recommend this activity!
This was an awesome sunset cruise! Met a lot of interesting people from around the world! A lot of good conversation!
Mikel was the best 1000% recommend. He joked with us made us feel comfortable such a great time.
Carlos was a great captain and host🍷
5 stars isn't enough - Best sunset cruise ever. Daniel is a fantastic skipper - super kind, professional, and makes sure everyone is looked after. Great music, topped-up drinks all evening, and he knows exactly where to park for that perfect sunset view. Wonderful experience. Don't miss this
Fun & intimate boat ride to see Barcelona from a different view! Our Captain was very friendly & accommodating. The drinks & tapas were perfect for a sunset cruise. Highly recommend!!
I like it a lot!! Very beautiful trip
We were on a large sailboat with lovely tapas, cava, wine, beer and soft drinks. Carlos was a fantastic captain who handled a seasick passenger with help and compassion. The view looking back at Barcelona was breathtaking!! Definitely an experience we would repeat!
Eduardo was the best in our trip!!!
Amazing experience with Eduardo. I recommend this tour!
Lovely trip, lovely views, nice skipper (Marco)
What an amazing experience! An intimate trip for two hours along the Barcelona shoreline. Our skipper, Carlos, was a brilliant guide and captain, a really nice man. Great company on board with the family from Dudley, Birmingham and a US family too. 8 of us in total. Lots of room..... and the wine, beer and tapas kept coming all in the price. Really easy to book and amazing communication leading up to the trip. That made a big difference as the directions to where we met was top rate. A lovely boat, a beautiful sunset, smashing company and best of all, a hat went overboard and Carlos, with exceptional seamanship, resued it! Amazing from start to finish. No wonder this is a 5 star trip!!! Thank you.
Daniel was wonderful! He took us on a perfect trip, was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and had good conversation

Really good value trip around the harbours of Barcelona. The company we were in helped to make the trip extra enjoyable ( bunch of American friends who were very good fun ) Recommended by us as a different view of Barcelona.
What a fantastic experience and such a relaxing break from our busy city holiday! Skipper Marie gave us an unforgettable evening, with delicious tapas, drinks, and a beautiful sunset. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of both sailing and Barcelona made the experience even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening!
It was a great evening with a friendly skipper (thanks, Maria) who shared her knowledge of Barcelona and the development of the docks.

This was an excellent evening on the water between two harbours with a knowledgeable and very friendly skipper. The company was great. The tapas was lovely. The information about Barcelona was superb.
Lovely experience with Captain Marie
We had a wonderful sunset tour experience. Overall duration, food and the time of the day was perfect. We had a relaxing time while watching sunset in the Mediterranean. Daniel, our boat captain, has also been very helpful and warm to us while on board. There are three groups of us with a total of 10 in the boat but it didn't feel crowded at all and there's plenty of space to move around. This experience is highly recommended to families and couples especially those doing their honeymoon! For it's price, it is definitely worth it.
Great way to enjoy the sunset and views of Barcelona really enjoyed it!
Edwardo was a great guide! We had a blast.
Eduardo was 10/10 and the experience was so fun! We had a great time and it was so fun to see the city from the sea. We also went when there was a full moon, which added to the experience. Highly recommend!

We went on a sunset cruise with Marie, and it was a wonderful experience. 2 hours is a perfect trip time around the Barcelona harbor and we loved the small group experience. We highly recommend this sailing company!
Fabulous from start to finish, Eduardo was the best skipper ever, we had a wonderful cruise and couldn’t have asked for more. We learnt more history, saw super yachts up close, had many beautiful photo opportunities and enjoyed great snacks and drinks. We highly recommend this trip and will do it again when we visit next year.
We had such a wonderful time on the Barcelona Sunset Tour! The views were absolutely beautiful, and the drinks and snacks were great. Eduardo was our crew member and he was amazing—so friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so much fun. Watching the sunset from the water was one of the highlights of our time in Barcelona. Highly recommend!
EDU WAS THE BEST!!!!! we enjoyed it so much was so much fun
EDU WAS AMAZING!! we had so Much fun
Very fun and knowledgeable tour guide.
We had an amazing trip on this boat and would highly recommend. First of all, all of the crew were very helpful and friendly at the start when placing us on our boats. We had eduardo as our skipper who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the Barcelona harbours. We were concerned prior to the trip what the term “bottomless” entailed…… however we soon found out that indeed it was “bottomless”!! Eduardo was very happy to supply your drink of choice which led to me and my couple definitely having a better time! We loved this trip and would definitely come back should we be in Barcelona again! Highly recommend
Daniel was our guide and he was amazing! He was kind and helpful, and made sure that if there was an empty glass to be refilled, he made sure it was refilled.
This was a delightful experience. Carlos, our skipper, was clearly competent, friendly, easy-going; we went from being four couples in polite silence to — after several bottles of Cava, augmented with sausage slices, chips and bread — a companiable group of new friends. The Mediterranean and the sun cooperated, and we made our way out through the chop, observed the various cargo vessels waiting to dock at Barcelona, and then cruised past all the oligarch-yachts, which were…trippy. Altogether a super experience.
