Barcelona Private Transfer From Cruise Terminal To City Centre

Viator works wonderfully easy. Picked up 9 of us without a hitch. Viator is definitely the perfect transfer service.

Waited too long for the driver when we could have taken a taxi and gotten to our hotel two hours earlier.

My group of 24 was waiting at the cruise terminal in Barcelona to be transfers to airport. The transportation only picked up 6 out of 24 and refused to refund my clients. The group called to let them know they were still on the ship, but the transportation would not wait for them.

We docked in Barcelona expecting to be picked up by this Personal transfer and the driver did not show. No message, phone or text. They had all of our contact details, mobile, what's App, text and email. After waiting for 20 minutes I tried to call, no response. Managed to then get onto the Viator support team, where I left a message on Chat, and jumped in a cab. Ended up receiving some very good help from Viator as I had already had been charged for the transfer, where I gave them proof of my taxi fare, and they reimbursed my costs of the original private transfer. While it was sorted out, it was a hassle for us that we could have done without. The driver operator had no explanation as to why the no show. Very disappointing.

Be warned using the yellow AMB Taxis at the Barcelona cruise terminal. As they monopolise the harbour we were unable to get a Bolt taxi that we used previously. We travelled from the cruise terminal, which is 2.5 miles away from Port Vell, approx 11 minutes, according to Google maps. After correcting the driver that we were going to Port Vell and not the airport, which apparently is a charge of €45 according to the meter, we were charged €20 despite the meter saying €7.45 and €4.50 which I think was a surcharge. As Spanish is not our first language we weren't in a position to argue. Afterwards I was so angry at blindly being robbed I wish we had challenged him.

We booked a taxi transfer with Book Taxi BCN and they never showed up and when I was talking with the person she hung up on us. Now we have to pay for another taxi. Not impressed. When we requested a refund they lied and said they were there and that we never showed up! Brutal service.

Our driver was prompt and polite. He assisted we ladies with our luggage. It was a 25 minute ride from the cruise port to the hotel in Barcelona city centre. We have booked with the service for transport to the Airport on Thursday.

The transfer NEVER HAPPENED as no one could ever get in touch with the vendor. No one showed up and I had to end up taking a cab. Very disappointed

Driver was prompt and communicative, contacting me in advance to keep me informed of his expected arrival.

Our driver did not wait for us to disembark from our ship. After contacting your office we were told he arrived at 8am and left at 8.15am. We were not allowed to leave the ship till 8.15 , so was out at the terminal waiting at 8.30. We waited for 2 hours and had to call a taxi. Pathetic and a total waste of money. Other drivers waited for over 2 hours. Would not use or recommend your company again.

We booked a private transfer from the cruise port to the city centre but the taxi never arrived. We had to pay for another taxi from a taxi rank. When We complained to Viator they said that the driver claimed “you did not show up” and refused a refund. However, we were at the agreed pick-up on the pier 30 minutes early and waited until 25 minutes after the pickup time. The pickup was at the single exit from the ship and we were told not to walk away from that point. We adhered to that absolutely. The driver apparently claimed that we did not answer his calls and messages but none was received and we were unable to contact the emergency help number. The attitude of Viator has been high-handed and disappointing to say the least. It seems that if the driver says we did not show up then we must be dishonest - someone certainly is but it is not us! Viator then refused to communicate further - hmm!

Very friendly! Drove safely and gave us information about the area as he drove us to hotel. He have us great tips on what to see.

The driver showed up right on time at the designated meeting spot. He helped us put all of our luggage in the car and drove us straight to our destination, we had no problems at all.

We sat at the cruise terminal for 2 hours. We emailed the tour operator when we arrived to no avail. Once the driver finally arrived he showed up in a taxi. We could have hailed a taxi upon arrival and saved money. Awful experience

Very bad experience , we waited at the Cruise Terminal over an hour Called the operator 3 times ,and a few times been cut off, until they send a taxi to pick us up

After 40 min wait at Barcelona port walking outside looking for the driver with my name on it, we took a taxi to the hotel. Got a call after we were on the taxi ride for 10 min. I already canceled pickup from Madrid airport

Did not turn up at all! What can be said?. We just had to find another taxi having waited fruitlessly for an hour with several people searching for a driver with the promised name board.

Driver arrived on time. Van was clean and big enough for all our luggage. Will consider hiring again.!

The taxi driver was so friendly, then he switched off his meter and charged us more than double the fare for a trip to the Gaudi , (Basílica de la Sagrada Família). Basically we got ripped-off/ fleeced. This also happened to other members of the cruise, with other taxi drivers.

We had several pieces of luggage and had indicated that to Viator on the phone. The guy shows up in a regular taxi and says he cannot take us because our luggage was too big. (Standard size for airport). He had his boss call us and suggest we take another taxi with the luggage and have that taxi follow us to the hotel! My niece ended up having to take her own taxi to the hotel so we had to pay twice in essence. The driver was not friendly and just seemed irritated.

Don’t use this company! They did not show up to pick us up at the port. I called their number twice and spoke to someone asking where our car was. They hung up on me both times.

Driver was late picking us up. They were plenty of taxis at the port which would have been less expensive and made the trip faster. Very disappointed in the late pickup.

Do yourself a favor and do not book this transfer company. I scheduled a 9:45 AM pick up from the cruise terminal to our hotel in the city center or Barcelona. I booked a later time because our seating for breakfast on the ship was 8:15. We were also late to dock in Barcelona and there was a wait for our bags. We were outside the ship terminal at 9:50-10:00 and our driver had already left saying we were a no show. When I reached out to viator for a refund Book Taxi Group claimed they waited an hour and we were no-shows and would not provide a refund. Do not book a company that won’t wait 5-10 min passed your pick-up time due to reasons beyond your control. I will never book with this company again. I will also be writing this review on other places such as Google or Yelp.

Our transfer from the cruise terminal never showed up. We booked and paid for it in June for July. They send us confirmation and showed it was paid for. We called them and they said they could see it was booked and paid for but they didn't schedule it! "Sorry you will have to get a taxi." We had nine in our party and needed two taxis. So not a good start to our day! Not a great experience and would not recommend this company. They did not try to help us. They basically told us that we were on our own!

Driver was there waiting for us when we got off the cruise ship, we didn't have to wait in the long line of people wanting to get a taxi.

Our driver never showed up. Called the tour operator and was told to get a taxi, he was sorry but couldn’t reach the driver to see if he was picking us up. I now know not to schedule anything with Viator and get a taxi, much less in cost and dependability.

Viator sets the pickup at the main cruise terminal, which was a mile from the ship. There were plenty of pickup from other providers that picked up at the ship. It would have been cheaper and more convenient to have gotten a cab.

I give this service ZERO STARS, but I had to add 1 star to post this message. The driver was a No Show. We provided all information - day of arrival, cruise ship name, and time to pick us up. NO SHOW. The most disappointing thing is that Viator will not issue a refund nor give a solid answer why not. I have been a Viator customer for years. Sadly, no more.

The driver didn’t show up. I reconfirmed the location and pickup time the day before and was told no problem. I called the office twice—first told that the driver would be there in five minutes—then twenty minutes after our pickup time to cancel when we had to get a taxi. I had read some bad reviews but it shows as a decent rating in one section of TripAdvisor and a lower rating when checking out. You should believe the lower rating. TripAdvisor was good about the prompt refund.

Driver contacted me by phone as he was unsure what terminal the ship was in. Another driver, waiting for his passenger spoke to him in Spanish or Catalonian and gave him directions. He was prompt and a very good driver, and dropped me off right in front of my hotel which was on one of the narrow lanes just off the Barcelona Cathedral square. There was a long line for taxis so glad I booked in advance.

Right on the button on time, lovely vehicle and brought directly to my expected location…. Took care of all luggage in & out of the vehicle & rolled to the hotel entrance.

We had great times in Barcelona! It is a very beautiful city, where old and new are marry and happy. It’s easy and secure to walk with the help of a map. The transfer’s service booked with Viator was great, pontual and comfortable!

Too difficult getting to find driver not a seamless process need a better where are you to communicate Once driver found journey was ok

We have four segments scheduled with aviator during our visit to Europe this fall. Our first driver in Bergen, Norway was our best to date. She was timely, knowledgeable, and professional.

The transfer process was very well done. I was told I would receive a call to let me know when they were approaching the terminal, and I did. He came, and helped with luggage, and was very cordial during the drive. Due to construction work near the hotel, he had to let us out down the street, but, again, helped with everything.

When visiting a foreign country I recommend using Viator for all transfer needs. We traveled to Athens and the car service was there to meet us as soon as we got off the plane. The driver was polite and spoke enough English for us to communicate our plans.

Made two separate reservations with Barcelona Taxi Group to pick up four people from ship terminal to Barcelona hotel. They never contacted us and never showed up, sent several emails and no response. Had to get a taxi and was much cheaper.

Viator and local operator are not coordinate it well. We got only 1 way from hotel to port. When we came back from Cruise. Vendor has canceled out return trip to hotel. Can you imagine, we had 11 people in our group. I think the vendor make more money to catering to other group for more money. I had asked Viator about the situation. One agent told me I don’t have a return trip to hotel even I gave her my booking number. Few minutes later I called Viator again and with the same booking number. He said I suppose to have a return trip back to hotel. But he doesn’t know why other agent to me no and the vendor did not pick me up. Even the refund partial payment. But it not the money. It’s the responsibility and reliability that we count on Viator when we booked. When you at your destination and thing like this went wrong so the reputation. I would not book anything with Viator anymore. So much promises but only haft way done. Feel very disappointed

The ride didn’t show up at appropriate time and ended up needing to take a taxi. We found out afterwards that they won’t show earlier than an hour and a half before Your flight. But when flying internationally this is not enough time. Very disappointed in what I thought was a reliable way off of the cruise ship to the airport. Need to work on how to get reimbursed now.

It was nice having a driver waiting for us after the cruise. This saved waiting in a long Taxi line.

I made a reservation through viator for roundtrip transportation to our tour. They did not reserve a ride for us. Since I didn't trust them after that, I cancelled the return transportation and found my own taxi back. Also, I do not begrudge a company for making money if they reserve transport through another company for me (since I was travelling overseas) but we ended up paying 40 euros for roundtrip for 4 people, which included generous tips for the drivers. Viator was charging me almost 5 times as much for arranging it. $89.95 each way, no tip included. Hope to get my $179.90 returned. We'll see...Stressful!!

Our driver was right on time, communicated well with us when we needed to change be the pick up time. He was a good driver and very helpful.

Thought we were getting a private car and we got a tax. There were seven of us and we were told seven of us could fit comfortably with seven pieces of luggage. It was very cramped.

Driver was a few minutes late and arrived in a taxi. Expected something more like a Mercedes limo van.

This survey about my trip speaks to the inefficiencies of your company…. Your ad says Barcelona cruise ship ports to hotel. I provided my ship info as your ad also claims it updates arrivals. If true, you would have noticed that our ship was about 40 minutes away at a different terminal. I should have confirmed so I’m to blame as well, but this is not what I do for a living. Your company should list the local ports so that clients realize there are different ports. I asked for partial credit but was denied. Will not use you again

Excellent service. The driver was very professional and happy to speak in English to us weary travelers.
