Barcelona Picasso Museum And Walking Tour

My husband and I very much enjoyed our tour with Tomas. He was knowledgeable and shared interesting information about Picasso which made the museum extra special! Tomas was very kind and easy to talk with about many topics, not just what he had planned for the tour which we really appreciated. We would highly recommend this tour!

Eaghan (handsome Irish guy) was an excellent tourguide. He gave us a lot of information and a perfect inside on the life of Picasso. He is very passionate about Arts and has profound knowlegde beyond Picasso. The size of the group was perfect.

We did the Picasso walking tour and museum and had a great time. Eoghan was knowledgeable and entertaining, easily holding everyone’s attention and encouraging group participation. He was very friendly, taking time to get to know members of the group in between spots. In addition to being knowledgeable about Picasso, he’s also an expert in all things Barcelona and beyond and had many recommendations to share!

I leave a five-star rating because I don't want to mess with their rating, but we were never able to connect with our tour. We arrived 1 minute late at the meeting point. We looked around and could not find the orange flag that our tour guide was supposed to be carrying. We texted the provider via the viator text app and it took 20 or 30 minutes to get a response. I asked for the phone number of the guide so we could call and connect, but they didn't have a number that we could call. They sent us the meeting points along the way in the text to try and hook up. I and my wife stayed at meeting point 3 for an hour. I then left my wife at meeting point 3, and went back to meeting point 2, a gallery that was due to close at 2:00 p.m., just 10 minutes later. I asked them if any Picasso tour group had been through that day and he said no. I strongly suspect that we were the only two who had booked this excursion that day as we did our very best to hook up with the excursion that apparently never went to meeting point number two. We finally went to the Picasso museum on our own after an hour and one half of futile searching for our group. Ended up spending our own money to get into the museum. I must say that it was a pretty darned frustrating experience for my wife and myself. I've got to think though, giving all the wonderful reviews, that we were in the minority of not having a good experience.

I highly recommend this walking tour to learn about Picasso‘s early life and development into the world renowned artist he became. It includes his early formative years attending art school where his father taught and significant relationships with other artists in Spain and France. It covered his high and low points in life and did not shy away from his time spent in bars and brothels that inspired him significantly.

Perrine was excellent in covered all aspects of Picasso‘s life in a tour of the city showing us everywhere he frequented

This was a fun & interesting tour! Our tour guide Eoghan was so knowledgeable about Picasso, not only about his life but also lots of fun facts about some of his paintings and the neighborhoods where he was a young artist. The Picasso Museum was wonderful - a must see in Barcelona! We didn’t do the optional wine and food tasting but did visit Els Quatre Gats for some delicious tapas and beer!

Our guide Perrine is amazing, we've been to 5 different tours during our time in Barcelona with Amigo, Buendia and TB travel. This tour is one of the best similar to our Tourguide Marc with TB tour. I have to say Amigo and Buendia are terrible that we dont even want to tips. This walking tour Perrine was friendly, kind, the tour was informative and very enjoyable. I would highly recommend her to others. But be aware and do not go with Amigo or Buendia

Terrible experience with ExperienceFirst. We booked a tour for December 3rd, and the company arbitrarily changed it to December 1st without notifying us or asking for approval. We were not even in Barcelona yet when they moved the date. This is completely unacceptable and shows total disregard for paying customers. The company is disorganized, unprofessional, and irresponsible. Do not trust them with your time or money.

It was our first day in Barcelona and this tour was the very first thing we did here. Cal was an excellent guide, full of information about Picasso's life. He kept us all engaged and he ended the tour with recommendations for restaurants and other experiences we were interested in. What a lovely way to start our stay here!

Although the experience had an address to meet at, mI assumed, incorrectly, that the meeting place would be near the museum. It wasn't. Although the meeting point was specified, I believe that it should have specified that the meeting point was NOT near the museum. My wife and I missed both the tour and the museum entry fee. We had to pay for entry to the museum even though we had paid for it with this excursion. Frustrating. I have never before missed an meeting point for a viator tour.

Thomas was a delight, passionate about Barcelona and Pablo Picasso. His tour really brought to Picasso to life and provided interesting background coupled with selected paintings used for examples. Of course if you don’t like Picasso I’m sure most will enjoy watching Thomas himself 😂 He was friendly and open and spoke perfect English with a wonderful French accent. We opted for the wine and cheese tasting, this is where Eoghan (Owen) came in! We followed this Irish gentleman to a place that served the best meat, cheese and wine. I wasn’t sure this was a worthwhile add-on but I was WRONG. Not only was it really fun getting to know Eoghan, but the tasting was incredibly delicious. Irish charm and delicious tastes n Barcelona - what could be better?

Our day started with disaster. Our hotel's elevators failed leaving guests struggling to exit. We were on 10th floor. Experience First worked so well with us. We failed to connect with the walking tour, but their staff sent us our Picasso Museum tickets directly and tried to help us connect with the tour. Our day was saved, when Thomas met us at the museim exit and led us personally to our wine and food tasting. Great wines, great food, great company. I will look for and recommend Experience First going forward;)
