A photomosaic erected in 2014 connected to the Catalan defeat on September 11, 1714, in the War of Spanish Succession. This event sparked the celebration of “La Diada” or “Catalonia Day” and represents what freedom means to the inhabitants of Barcelona.
This Gothic-style church sits in the heart of the city and honours the life and death of the city’s patron saint, Eulalia, who was tortured to death by the Romans.
This peculiar spot nestled in the Gothic Quarter is a fusion of Gothic and Renaissance architecture which houses the vertical face of the Roman wall and aqueducts.
Carrer de Bisbe or “Bishop Street” served as one of the main thoroughfares in Roman-occupied Barcino and this Neo-Gothic style bridge is the source of a superstitious legend that is sure to captivate even the most sceptical of visitors.
This picturesque square tucked away in the Gothic Quarter holds a sombre history related to the Spanish Civil War. The square's scars still bear witness to its tragic past.
The Jewish quarter of Barcelona with its narrow streets and mediaeval architecture provides insight into the city's rich Jewish history, including its synagogue and legends.

★★★★★ — Sara deserves her own statue in Barcelona. I genuinely don’t know where to begin. Five stars feels almost insulting. If Google allowed me to give 700 stars, I would still feel like I was doing Sara a disservice. I’ve travelled, I’ve eaten, I’ve met some wonderful people, but nothing could have prepared me for the absolute force of nature that is Sara. This wasn’t a food tour. This was a culinary pilgrimage. A spiritual awakening. A masterclass in hospitality delivered by a woman who, quite frankly, should be considered a Spanish national treasure. Sara’s knowledge of Barcelona, its food, its culture and its history is nothing short of supernatural. Her enthusiasm is infectious, her personality is magnificent, and her ability to make you feel like you’ve been lifelong friends within minutes should be studied by scientists. At one point I genuinely questioned whether the city of Barcelona had been built specifically to provide a backdrop for Sara’s greatness. The food? Extraordinary. The atmosphere? Electric. The guiding? A performance worthy of a standing ovation at the Royal Albert Hall. I arrived a hungry tourist and left a fundamentally changed human being. I would trust Sara with my life, my children’s education, and potentially the leadership of a small European nation. Barcelona is lucky to have her. Spain should be proud of her. UNESCO should seriously consider getting involved. If you’re visiting Barcelona and don’t book a food tour with Sara, you’ve made an enormous mistake. 11/10. Would cross oceans to do it again.
Sara was absolutely fabulous!!!

A special mention to Lidia, our wonderful guide through Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Great tour very knowledgable
Jordan was an exceptional story teller as he included factual and mythical anecdotes to bring the El Born and Gothic areas of Barcelona alive. We enjoyed learning about Jordan and his journey to Barcelona as he also included interesting experiences such as a spontaneous visit by the Obamas to his neighborhood one morning! I already plan to include this tour as a “must see” to others who will be visiting soon. My only recommendation is that when he begins the tour he uses his excellent communication skills to inform the scattered participants that he has arrived. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
