Barcelona Highlights & Hidden Gems Private Tour

We have been to Barcelona 3 times. And, it was our 52 yr old daughter’s first time. Our fabulous guide showed us so many NEW things and, balanced it with fascinating sites for our daughter. Liliia was our excellent guide. Liliia speaks 3 languages. She is very bright and so kind. I would highly recommend her. On anyone’s next visit to Barcelona, you should be so fortunate to get Liliia as your guide.

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide Jordi was very knowledgeable and personable. We had a couple of unexpected treats along way, which were delicious. We highly recommend this tour and Jordi.

Lucy did a great job. She was flexible re the time and showed us around great local highlights. Showed us an amazing view of the city, spoke about local architecture and unique cafes. A great tour. Highly recommend.

Jordi was our guide and he did an excellent job giving us 3hours of information about Barcelona’s history. His English was perfect and very engaging to hear all the interesting stories!

Loved this tour! We met up with Alan, our tour guide, near the Wax Museum. From there he gave us a private tour of the old town of Barcelona. This tour went with his history of the area and Catalonia and the many changes brought about by influences from different countries/cultures. As we walked through the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter, he was able to take us in some shops that have preserved historical features like an ancient Jewish bathhouse. Alan made the history come to life as he showed us locations and maps and brought the whole story together. The tour was about 3 hours and involved a fair amount of walking, but it's well worth the time.

The best way to get to know a city! We did our tour with Emma on the last day of our visit to Barcelona, and I wish the schedule had worked out for us to do it on the first day instead! Emma was friendly, engaging, and super-knowledgeable. She tailored the walk to our interests and showed us out-of-the-way places we'd never have found on our own, even in the middle of the city's busiest areas!

Jordi was an excellent guide. We stayed in the Gothic Quarter and had walked around the area the day before our tour. We would have missed so much if we hadn’t taken the tour. So many things were pointed out by Jordi during our tour. He was very engaging and informative. Having grown up in the area (he even had home movies of him and his family when he was little) we got another perspective on Barcelona. Highly recommend.

I had a great time with guide Felipe. He was an excellent guide, full of information, facts and stories. I learned so much about the beautiful city of Barcelona. The 3 hours flew by, but we were able to cover a lot of ground. I highly recommend this tour and guide.

This was so much more than a “sights and sounds” tour. Alan provided historical context and little tidbits of information as well as a great overview of Barcelona. What a fantastic day!!

I booked this tour with high expectations, but the tour guide never showed up. I waited at the designated meeting point for a long time and tried to reach out several times — but I never received any response or explanation. This experience completely ruined my day in Barcelona, as I had planned my schedule around this tour and missed the chance to do other activities. It’s very disappointing to have such poor communication and reliability from a service that should be professional and organized.

The tour guide was surprised simply terrific. Liliia rearranged her schedule to accommodate ours. She was charming, informative, easy going and knowledgeable. The tour is a lot of walking but worth it. Lots of interesting insights and gave ys a good feel for the area She also provided restaurant and other recommendations for the remainder of our stay.

Alexander provided outstanding service. Being from the South, we’re accustomed to warm hospitality, and he made us feel right at home.

Sebastian was very knowledgeable about this beautiful city and gave a wonderful tour. The only way to see this city is on a walking tour so be prepared.p

We had an early tour with Emma. She was warm, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Emma went at our pace and tucked in a few surprises along the way. A great way to see Barcelona with a simply amazing guide.

Ramona was an amazing guide - one of the best we've ever had. Friendly, informative, enthusiastic. She clearly loves Barcelona. She also quickly realized that I like to take a lot of pictures and adjusted her pace to accommodate that and pointed out the best spots for certain photos. We had a lovely rest at a small cafe where she introduced us to my new favorite summer beverage - Clara! You can't go wrong with this tour. Book it!

Lusi was amazing! We booked this very last minute (a couple hours in advance) and we are so glad we did! She even helped us catch a taxi back to our cruise ship. Thanks Lusi!

Great tour with Federico. Would be better if TA told us this was a WALKING tour. That's never mentioned. Good thing it wasn't raining.

This was a very interesting tour focusing mostly on the Latin Quarter. Our tour guide has many interesting facts and stories about the area we saw. The tour was very enjoyable.

Ramona was brilliant. She listened to what and where I had been and seen. She showed me a Barcelona that I thoroughly enjoyed seeing and hearing about - Thank you so much Ramona

Luis was nice enough but didn’t provide the experience we asked for. He doesn’t listen and spent a tremendous amount of time talking politics. We said we were wine and food focused and he showed us non of this. We also weren’t even provided the drink mentioned in the program. Not our best experience.

Sebastian, our guide for the Highlights and Hidden Gems tour was outstanding! He is incredibly knowledgeable and a wonderfully kind person. Sebastian was an absolute delight to spend time with! He tailored our tour beautifully to our needs, which involved some mobility issues. I will definitely recommend him to family and friends who will be visiting Barcelona and if I get back here, he’ll be the first person I contact. Adi was a great tour guide. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He showed us lots of Barcelona’s hidden gems which were great.

Philippe provided us with a customized tour that enlightened us with Catalan and Barcelona history and cultural background. I asked a lot of questions and he eagerly answered all. He communicated ahead of time and provided his contact info in case we could not find him. All went very well and we are very pleased with our experience.

Elvira provided our family (2 teenagers and 2 adults) with a great tour of the Gothic Quarter and El Born. She provided lots of information that educated us on the history of Barcelona, Catalunya and Spain whilst taking us to many parts of these locations we may not have seen. She is passionate about the city and our boys love the information and the sights. She was very flexible on the start time, location and things to see which suited us perfectly. Alan was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of Barcelona in addition to being entertaining and thoughtful. My husband and I enjoyed our three hour walking tour with Adi. He was like meeting a local friend who offered to show us around. He was easy to talk to, knew a lot about the area and answered all our questions about the area and Barcelona. We moved at a good pace and he shared with us things he has experienced in the city. Highly recommend a tour with Adi.

I highly recommend the Gothic Quarter tour with A. Teo. She was so knowledgeable and friendly which made it an incredible experience. We appreciated her willingness to cater to our interests and her recommendation for dinner that evening. Overall, an excellent tour!

We had a GREAT experience doing the “Jews and Gentiles in Barcelona” tour with Teo! She shared historical information, remains of actual locations and many wonderful anecdotes. Teo really brought the existence of Barcelona’s Jews throughout the ages to life for us! Her delightful personality and vibrant energy kept us interested and totally engaged throughout our time together. An added bonus was our visit to the Christmas market where Teo explained the meaning of unique customs and traditions celebrated in Spain! We were thoroughly delighted with our tour and would happily spend more entertaining and educational time with wonderful Teo!!

We had the absolute best time with Alan! He was personally engaging and a *wealth of historical knowledge*! He has a passion for history and for Barcelona which he exudes. He brought us to a wonderful shop we would never have found on our own and he recommended places for us to eat/see after our tour together. He was incredibly generous with his time, making sure we got to see everything we were hoping to see. I highly recommend scheduling any tour you can get with Alan. Lovely day with Liliia seeing the old town. We stopped at local olive oil and chocolate shops and a tapas place--she has a great rapport with the shopkeepers which made the experience very personal.

Me and my wife like Liliia so much ! She is friendly, smart and know more than everything should. The hidden gems were amazing and il definitely recommend her to my friends. We ended up bought a very nice local designer sunglasses sunglasses with good price and quality, and a surprise drinks on roof top on the house to cheer us up !

Krisztina is a classy guide and a good talker (and listener) with impeccable manners and a certain gentleness that comes with a good education driven by curiosity about the world. Her vast knowledge of the city and its history allows her to navigate through different topics effortlessly. Some guides might be a bit mechanical in their delivery but not Krisztina - her tour was more akin to meeting with an old friend. I recommend her to anyone genuinely willing to discover what makes Barcelona so unique rather than do a "been there, done that tour". I would compare her narrative style and attitude to Bartók's "Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celesta": modern but not show-offy; lively but not artificially agitated; multilayered but not overwhelming; intelligent and witty but humbled by centuries of accumulated experiences and traditions.

Sebastian is a teller of tales, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the local history. We really enjoyed our tour .

I almost cancelled this tour because I booked so many, but I’m so glad that I didn’t. Alan is a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and made the tour fun, interesting, and exciting.

My wife and I visited Barcelona for the second time a few days ago. On our first visit, we were there almost a week and walked, on our own, through most of the city after taking a Hop on-Hop off bus to get a layout of the city and its sites. While we saw many things, we knew virtually nothing of what we were looking at! Our most recent was only for 2 days and we wanted to make that time well spent, so I booked a 3-hour walking tour with Sebastian. We met in our hotel lobby at the agreed upon time and started our tour. As I requested of him when I booked, we spent the entire time walking in the Gothic Quarter. Sebastian showed us many things there that we probably walked by on our first visit without noticing them or their significance. He had a great command of the history of Barcelona and Spain and easily tied events together bringing us up to the current time. Sebastian's easygoing manner and willingness to discuss any topic that we brought up made for a very enlightening yet enjoyable time. We discussed topics like politics, religion, cultural values and many other topics related to Barcelona's long history without him expressing any strong opinions, and it allow us to form our own opinions based on what we heard. Sebastian also was kind enough to point out a number of shops that he thought were high quality and places for us to do some shopping. After we left him, we took advantage of what he told us. We returned to many of those shops and bought many things for people at home, including gifts for ourselves. At the end of our time with him, I asked if he was free for the remainder of the day but, unfortunately, he had other things that he had to get done, so we had to part ways. I strongly recommend Sebastian as a tour guide for your visit to Barcelona and would have no reservation about using him for our next visit to Barcelona.

We appreciated the fun, adaptability, and unique hidey-holes that showed us the layers of history. As a Catalan guide, her answers were direct and helpful. Plus, we got insider leads to all the good food spots!

Perfect way to see the ins and outs of the old city. Go early! Cool to see the city when it is just waking up and miss the worst of the crowds. We got lucky and our guide Denis was the best we had had on any guided tour we have done. If you can afford it do the private version as it is easier to get around. So many recommendations and spots we would have just glazed over if doing a self guided Google walk.

Krisztina was an incredible, articulate, and gracious guide for us in the Gothic part of Barcelona. We thoroughly enjoyed her knowledge and her thoughtful narrative describing what we were seeing. Since it was a private tour, we had a lot of opportunities to ask questions and get her personal insight about the area that I don't think we would have had otherwise. And she helped us with recommendations for the rest of the trip.

Ramona was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable about the history of the area and an absolute pleasure to spend the day with.

Ellie did such a fantastic job on our tour and kept our 6 year old very entertained! She explained things in a very interesting way that kept him excited and he loved the scavenger hunt. She kept us positive even in the pouring rain! Would definitely recommend her to any families looking for a great, interactive tour!

Jorge was great! He gave us the true behind the scenes of the city and took us to the best spots to see the authentic of Barcelona! He also gave recommendations of places to go and food as well! Highly recommend the one on one experience

Moise's did a great job of pointing out local gems for us to check out and just as importantly, warning us about tourist traps to avoid. His local knowledge was very handy because it was a local Holiday. We were able to catch some festivities but were able to bypass some of the crowds. I'd highly recommend Moise's.
