We loved this tour! The stops were at wonderful authentic restaurants with friendly and welcoming hosts. Other than the patatas bravas (which was tasty) the food we tried was different to what we would have ordered and really delicious. Our guide was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. We cannot recommend this tour more highly.

Itinerary
We will start off just outside of the famous El Molino theater, which was once named Le petit Moulin Rouge, before snaking our way through the Poble Sec neighbourhood, discovering three of the city's best restaurants.
Named after a famous flamenco singer, this isn’t quite a restaurant but a true southern-style tavern: no chairs, just stools, and plenty of character. Everything comes from Cádiz, the owner’s hometown, where she gets wines directly from small producers. Expect honest, no-frills cooking, with tastings like artichokes with mojama, pescaíto frito, pork stew sandwiches, or crispy chicharrón, all paired with white dry wine.
Discover this young, vibrant energy, where snagging a table can feel like an accomplishment in itself. It’s the perfect place to practice the art of "terracear": claiming a spot on a terrace and guarding it fiercely while you sip and snack at an unhurried pace, soaking in the lively atmosphere.
This is a beautiful and unique façade done with a colourful patchwork of mosaics. It was built at the beginning of 1900s by an unknown architect.
Expert in high-quality platillos: small dishes with just a hint of fusion to make them exciting. Every dish is delicious, but their patatas bravas are truly unforgettable. We'll try some, along with some DIY bread with tomato, Middle Eastern-style carrots, barbecued Iberian pork, oxtail stew, meat-filled cannelloni, or seasonal vegetable dishes, paired with red Catalan wine.
The square got its name from the original fountain, which was later moved to Montjuïc and replaced by a copy of the Canaletes fountain. It’s home to Poble Sec’s active civic center and a perfect spot for families relaxing over drinks while kids play, embodying the laid-back, healthy Mediterranean-village lifestyle right in the heart of the city.
This spot pays homage to the late ’90s and early 2000s, when Macaulay Culkin partied in Barcelona before it was trendy. The quirky décor and memorabilia capture that era, but the real star is the desserts — don’t miss the torrija and chocolate mousse with salt and olive oil, best enjoyed with a glass of cava.

Lorea, thank you! This was an evening of great food, time to chat, learn and discover much about Spain. The food and wine were outstanding. Our guide , Lorea, surpassed all with her ease, flow of the evening and knowledge! Thank you
What a wonderful experience. Lorea was extremely knowledgeable and so much fun. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a “non-touristy “ food tour. Outstanding!
Lorea was awesome, and the food was amazing. Would definitely join this experience again!
Delicious food & drinks and nice conversation. This was our 7th food tour and Lorea's was above average! We ate foods that we don't expect to find anywhere else. Nice way to start a stay in a new city.
Lorea was an excellent tour guide. Very informative! Really made the experience worth the money!
We had a delightful evening with Lorea! The places chosen and the food and wine served were an excellent assortment of Barcelona’s tapas. She was engaging, fun, and organized with our group. Without her we would not have been aware of some excellent tapas locations, nor aware of some excellent tapas choices. The wine pairings fully complemented the dishes. A terrific way to begin our Spain adventure.
Everything was wonderful. Our guide Lorea was friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve been to Barcelona before but it was great to have a local talk us through the dishes and the history. Would definitely recommend, especially early on in your trip to get ideas and recommendations for areas and restaurants later on in the trip. Thanks Lorea!
Lores was an amazing host! She embodied the spirit of Barcelona and was able to offer an in-depth perspective on architecture, food, and wine that we never could have imagined. Who knew a piece of toast could be so amazing!
Fantastic time with Lorea. Very knowledgeable and engaging with the entire group. Fantastic food and wine pairing for places we never would’ve found on our own. Highly recommend!!!
This was amazing!!! Lorea was amazing and so knowledgeable. She was friendly and so wonderful! Highly recommend her and this tour. It was small and intimate, only six of us. Worth it.
Lorea was fantastic and so was the food. Loved the small group experience. I would do it over again. We hope to come Come to all the places we stopped.
Learning not only the Spanish but also the history of the towns
Great food and wine total work the price
Food choices were excellent. Maria was educational, personable , and knowledgeable. Pablo Sec area was under construction for the first stop, but food and tour guide made up for it.
Maria is amazing. Very kind, informative, friendly, and joy to hang with. Thank you very much.
We had an absolutely amazing tour in Barcelona. Our guide, Esther was upbeat and fun, extremely knowledgeable about the food and drink at each stop. Esther truly elevated our Eating Europe experience!!
Maria was so knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her! The food was also amazing. The places we went and the food we tried, were things we would not have known about or experienced without this tour. We highly recommend this food tour and Maria!
Maria did a great job. Nice experience in Poble Sec
Noah is a m a z i n g !! Sooo friendly, so knowledgeable, so witty!
Noah gave us a wonderful evening with history, delicious food and wonderful conversation! I cannot stress it enough how helpful it would be to have him give you a tour at the beginning of your trip! Thank you Noah!
Our guide , Esther was very knowledgeable in history, food and wine facts. She was a delight to be with and a lot of fun! The food was absolutely delicious as well as the wine. I am not one to try new foods but I ate everything and loved it ! Highly recommended!!!! Ask for Esther!
Esther was a superb host for our tour and gave us plenty of context to not only the food we were eating but the areas we were strolling through. Over the 3 hours we had more than enough to eat with a total of 6 savoury dishes that were all superb and mostly were tapas style dishes that I had never had before, which was unexpected. There were also 2 sweets and a total of 3 glasses of wine and I was lucky in that I only had two other people on the tour so it felt very exclusive and private. Would highly recommend.
The tour hostesses were friendly and well versed in the in the food and wine served. They were flexible and generous in their handling of dietary restrictions, and knew the neighborhoods well.,
Esther was our fearless leader for the fabulous Tapas Tour of the Poble Sec. She had great stories of the history and culture surrounding the restaurants and dishes we had. We had a great tour and would recommend to others!!!
The tapas we ate were unusual and delicious. Esther also was knowledgeable about historical influences and how they were made in Spanish homes. It was a great experience.
Great to with Noah. Fun food and wine unexpected lesson on local and Spanish history
Noah was AMAZING! Gave us so much interesting history of Barcelona as well as food history! Recommend highly!!!
We had an amazing experience with Easter on our foot tour in Barcelona! The tour was the perfect mix of incredible food, local history, and exploring neighborhoods we never would have found on our own. Every stop felt authentic and thoughtfully chosen, from traditional tapas to local wines and hidden gems tucked away in the city. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Barcelona’s food culture, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The pacing was great, the portions were generous, and we left feeling like we truly got a taste of the city beyond the typical tourist spots. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Barcelona — whether it’s your first time or your fifth. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
This a must do experience. We went to three restaurants, all three were amazing. The tapas, the wine, the desserts- all very special. The guide, Esther was by far the best part. We felt very lucky that she was our guide she showed us places that we would’ve otherwise walked right past. She was fun, kind and so generous with her time and knowledge- not only of Barcelona but the other cities we were going to cost next on our trip. Don’t leave Barcelona without taking this tour!
This is a great tour of a less touristy area. We loved exploring a residential neighbourhood and seeing where the locals eat. Everything we ate was excellent! Our guide Kornelia was excellent and gave us lots of local insights and tips for our stay. If you want to see a beautiful neighbourhood with a very chill vibe, absolutely check out this tour. This is also a lovely area to stay if you're looking for somewhere more laid-back (we're staying in Sant Antoni). We will definitely be going back to the places we went on the tour!
Esther was our guide and she was just wonderful at explaining the venues, foods and wines. We had some of the best food of our entire visit to different regions of Spain. I would highly recommend!
Karim gave us a thorough tour of Bayonne’s history and culture, as well as a fabulous food forward experience. He made the tour fun and conversational, highly recommend!
Very informative, warm, inviting and local experience.
The tour with Esther was so special! She is very knowledgeable and welcoming. The food and wine were terrific! So glad we found this tour!

Thank you, Esther, for a fun and informative food tour of the Pablo Sec area of Barcelona. We enjoyed your selection of restaurants and the dishes we shared. You showed an amazing knowledge of the various dishes we tried as well as the history of the food and this region of Spain. We had a great time and will definitely remember our Barcelona food tour.
Ester was our tour guide and she did a great job explaining the different food and drink of Spain. She provided a variety of different foods for us to try. She was very friendly and made the night fun!
We had such a fantastic experience on our food tour with Barcelona Taste! Our guide, Esther, was wonderful — friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing the rich world of Spanish gastronomy. She took us to some amazing local spots we never would have found on our own, each one offering delicious food and a real taste of the city’s culinary culture. Along the way, she shared fascinating insights and fun facts that made the evening even more enjoyable. Esther went above and beyond, even helping us arrange a lunch reservation for the next day. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience authentic Spanish flavors with a warm and engaging local guide!

Esther did an absolutely fantastic job. By the end of the evening the whole group felt like family and her resaturant choices and information were spot on. Highly recommend.
Very personal tour with cultural explanations and historical perspectives. Great food that we not have experienced on our own.
We had a lovely tapa tour with Lorea in the Poble-Sec area in Barcelona. The food was delicious (she kept in mind that I don't eat seafood, so if you have any serious food dislikes or allergies just let them know) Lorea was also very lively and fun, and the others in our tour were also interesting travelers and fun to chat with while we ate. The wines we tried were also delicious, and there was a good variety of different types of food. I would highly recommend the Barcelona Taste if you are in Barcelona and love to eat. It was a good value for the money, as well.
