I enjoyed the layout of it, especially where the fish swim over you. The gift shop is very cute as well, I was able to get some gorgeous glass souvenirs for my friends

Itinerary
The Barcelona Aquàrium is located in the old harbor, Port Vell, and is the world's most important marine leisure and education centre dedicated to Mediterranean undersea life. A unique attraction that has already been visited by more than 14 million people. Don't wait for people to tell you about it… buy your ticket now and skip the queues. The Barcelona Aquàrium is the perfect place to find out about the seabed and all its different species. You'll learn about them through the 35 Mediterranean and tropical tanks which are home to 11,000 animals from some 450 different species. The most spectacular of all is the immense Oceanarium, the only one in Europe which is 5m deep and 36m in diameter. A transparent 80-metre-long tunnel runs through the Oceanarium where you can walk among sharks, gilt heads, morays, ocean sunfish and many more species. With your ticket you'll also be able to visit the permanent exhibitions, Planeta Aqua and Explora! which show the importance of water in the development of our planet, and where kids can discover the underwater world by using their five senses. After your visit, you'll be able to enjoy the different services on offer: the café, shop, souvenir photo, auditorium, etc.

We saw all type of fish.. sharks are awesome. Suitable for kids and families. Also connected to a mall
Many varieties of fish and they even had sharks and penguins! The aquarium was very nice, but I made the mistake of going on a rainy Saturday. Apparently I wasn’t the only one who decided to escape the rain by visiting the aquarium. The place was full of very exuberant children. If this is a problem for you, you may want to attend on a weekday when schools are in session. Buying the tickets online to skip the line only really allows you to skip the ticket purchase line. There will still be a line to enter based on the time slot you booked.
The price of admission is very high for what you get. The aquarium livestock is mediocre at best. Maybe I had set my expectations too high thinking everything carrying the Barcelona name is first class. The signage was very very basic. Candidly I've seen better aquariums in private residences.
The aquarium is maintained well and looks amazing from the outside. When you get inside it’s a big of a nightmare. To many people in at the same time meant it was really hard to see everything. The tunnel was great ,so all can view you stand on a conveyor belt that slowly takes you through. There’s a wide range of animals
It was amazing i woukd definitely recommend to friends and family, its worth it in every aspect. I got to learn the botanical names of the aquatic animals
Amazing day, great value for money, LOADS to do for kids - I was a little sceptical but it was truly great Staff were rude - especially on front desk
It was great expeirence but small a aquarium, near shops and restaurants very family friendly and also great for solo travelers
Great place for small kids and families. The aquarium itself was nice. Easy access through the exhibit.
Barcelona Aquarium is lovely and a haven for children, parents young adults and older people who loves the sea world. Shark tunnel, a lot of different fish, sea animals and turtles - and a lovely store. The building is a haven on a hot day!
Ticket entry went smoothly - quick and easy Aquarium was nice, but small. Was hoping to see more exhibits.
The aquarium is great if you have small kids. Otherwise, it is just ok. If you are short on time in Barcelona, place this activity low on the list of activities and prioritize visiting other sites. If you have small children and are looking to fill some space, then its worth it.
This place was nice for children and adults. It took us about two hours to see everything. It will take longer if you are doing more interactive activities which they have. They have some pretty cool fish
Top notch aquarium in middle of the marina with restaurants all around. Boats coming and going, especially mega yachts.
It’s a medium sized aquarium and can feel very crowded but really nice exhibits and well taken care of.
Good quick and nice experience for the kids. Recommend for families with little ones. One hour maximum
The Zoo is very nice and not expensive to visit. I recommend it if you want to take your family for a nice calm day to relax and observe the nature. A lot of different animals to observe. I highly recommend it.
Very brief - only took about 40 minutes to go around. It looks old and tired, very sad looking, if I’m honest - the entrance is fancy, but then you get in there, and well… It’s naff. I can’t really recommend it at €27 a pop.
My most point to visit aquarium was to see whale shark as is was present on website. There is no whale shark there. So I was disappointed because I’m from New York (USA) and we attended much bigger aquariums.
Beautiful tour, beautifully set up the and the ability to go on our own was more than worth it. Especially since our previous tour had been canceled without warning. Thanks to a team building exercise
I bought a 19:00 ticket to go to the Aguarium. I got there around 18:10 and they were closing up the Aquarium. They told me to come back today and they'll honor the ticket. In any case I wasted time and an Uber trip back and forth.
It was busy but a great trip. Lots to walk around and see. Fast to get in and avoid the queues with our ticket :-)
I love this beautiful aquarium. I would highly recommend this aquarium. I love how the asterisks of sting ray tang tank was.
## English This is said to be the largest aquarium in Europe. It has a huge underwater tunnel and various fish and marine life, making it a great place for family outings. ## Spanish Se dice que este es el acuario más grande de Europa. Tiene un enorme túnel submarino y diversas especies de peces y vida marina, lo que lo convierte en un gran lugar para excursiones familiares.
Checked before I went to ensure they didn’t have dolphins. Never dawned on me that they might have penguins. Bad enough seeing large fish & sharks in tanks far too small for them but the penguins were literally the most depressing thing I have ever seen and I am utterly ashamed to have contributed to their misery. A tiny enclosure, all the penguins sitting about, listless, dirty and dejected. No movement and most facing into the wall. They just looked absolutely broken! Heartbreaking when you think in the wild they are gregarious, social and swim for miles every day. The biggest irony is that there is a screen showing footage of penguins in their natural habitat, swimming, fishing, preening, and socialising. A world away from the reality the poor Barcelona penguins are being subjected to! That aside, extortionate ticket prices for what the entire experience is. Not sure how anyone with any empathy could stand over supporting this venue. 💔
Definitely a bonus skipping quite a long line at the entrance to buy tickets prior to a second line to get through the barriers. Great facility with excellent viewing areas. Teens loved the tunnels seeing the sharks and fish species closely. Would recommend.
Ok for very little kids. The exhibits were lacking any excitement… very small place. Should only charge $10 to get in
Wray neas please Thank you. I was impressed by the Sharks which I had never seen because there is no sea in my town.
Kid-friendly. Clean. No need to buy the "skip-the-line" ticket. There wasn't a line. Our 2-year old had a grand time
We loved visiting the aquarium!! When we went, construction was being done on certain parts of the building but it didn’t take away from our experience. We look forward to visiting again when this work is completed!
The aquarium is very well done. Excellent for families. We went on Sunday afernoon, 06/02, and there were no lines. The Old Port marina area is a great area to walk around, with many places to eat an vendors' stalls.
Great place to visit, bigger inside than expected with lots to see and do. The shark tank (huge) with moving floor was the highlight. Lots of young school children knocking about creating the usual amount of noise and mayhem could detract from the experience if you preferred a more tranquil visit.
Fun for a small child visiting Barcelona. Language was no barrier. Price was reasonable as well. Highly recommend if barcelona a few days with family including small children.
Large tank, great displays and very educational, coy feddkng great & penguins, sharks, rays, moray erls, seahorses
Nice. We Had a good time, it was very clean and well maintenance, you could tell they take good care of it by keeping it clean.
Very enjoyable despite the noise level of all the excited children in every language possible. Nice, soothing trip to conclude my vacation on.
Good to see, good mixture of sea creatures but ai always feel sorry for anything in captivity, especially the penguins. Very clean.
Great day out a return visit for us fust as good the second time. A must if you are in Barcelona. Book you tickets on advance are you jump the queue
An amazing experience, seeing large sharks and sturgeon on a rotating conveyor, giving everyone a fare viewing period. Truly excellent.
The aquarium is pretty interesting especially the underwater tunnel. The kids enjoyed the sharks, as well as 'Nemo' and 'Dory'. There aren't big queues, but it's nice to buy in advance, in order to get a discount and/or get out of the sun quicker.
Much larger than we anticipated and it was very easy to navigate. They had a large assortment of fish and the kids loved to see the Penguins and sharks!
Smaller aquarium than I am use to visiting. It was a good option for something else to check out when it was raining.
Very nice aquarium. Really enjoyed it. Good variety and it wasn’t crowded. It was really worth it. Good value.
Well, I thought it would be amazing, but it wasn’t. The aquarium can only be said to be of an average level, and there is a fishy smell near some glass, which may be a good choice for children.
Viator sends you an email with a barcode you scan upon entry. However, the barcode would not scan. You have to take a screen shot of the entry ticket and email to the aquarium...a little annoying because you're suppose to be skipping the line, not having to get out of it to perform an extra step.
The aquarium was not worth the money. Far too many people and too little to see. The only redeeming factors were the large tank you walk through and the penguin exhibit.
II love aquariums and always try to go to one when I travel. This one was just okay. We went with our grandson and in that regard it was good for him as a one year old. There is nothing wrong with this aquarium but nothing special either. I would hesitate to recommend this and it would depend on who was going and who would be in their party.
Spent approximately an hour here - was on the pricey side but definitely worth it. There were lots of different fish and animals to see. There was also two tunnels where you could stand on a travelator which allows you to watch the fish swim overhead and around which is amazing and something unique. Would recommend and would suggest pre booking this and printing at home before travelling as it was easy to hand that in and go straight through skipping the queue.
This was such a great aquarium. So many breathtaking coral. It was nicely designed. Be aware that “skip the line” didn’t feel like it through TripAdvisor because those tickets need to be forwarded via email to the aquarium to verify. It takes two minutes to verify prior to letting us in
Short but nice, good for small kods aswell as there is long tunel which they can look at from stroller too. Om not really fan of fishes but i loved those tunels 😊
