Andorra History & Sightseeing Day Tour From Barcelona With Pickup

This was our second tour to Andorra with the same guide, Adrian. He was our a year ago on a trip with our grandkids. We went again this year to experience the fall colors. Adrian is a terrific guide. He is a safe driver and very attentive. Be remembered what we saw on our last visit and he included some new things for us to see. It was a wonderful experience.

Our tour with Adrian was exceptional. He arrived promptly at our hotel to meet our party, and his knowledge of Spain, Andorra, and France was impressive. Two members of our group had mobility limitations, and he went above and beyond to ensure they could fully enjoy the experience while minimizing the amount of walking required. I would highly recommend this tour from Barcelona Y Day Trips, it is money well spent.

We had a great private tour of Andorra from Barcelona. Our driver/tour guide, Adrian was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable, and took us to all of the photo spots, places to eat, have a drink, etc. We even played 9 holes of golf! Adrian was very accommodating, and we had a very good time!

This was one of my top travel experience ever. Andorra was a lovely country, and the Pyrenees are one of the more beautiful areas I've ever visited. But the real gem on this trip was our guide. Adrian was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He took us to great spots for photos that were off the beaten path for larger tours, and the personal attention ensured that the trip was perfectly tailored to our specific tastes. He presented a wealth of knowledge, made excellent recommendations, and took great care of us throughout the trip. While the private tour was more expensive than my usual day trips, this one was worth every penny. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.

This trip was recommended to my husband and I from my father who had taken the trip years ago. We personally contacted Adrian our guide and he responded immediately and set up the trip. It was wonderful. Adrian was the perfect guide with all his knowledge. He made many stops for photos along the way, knowing the perfect places. He arranged an absolutely exquisite lunch for us as well. The weather was forecasted to be rainy and cloudy and we were worried it might hamper our views. As it turned out it was perfect, we are convinced that Adrian arranged that too. If you ever visit Barcelona and want to experience all that Andorra holds and learn the history and anything else about the area we highly suggest you contact Barcelona Day Trips and ask for Adrian. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

This was a fantastic tour and Adrian was our great guide! We visited and saw everything on the agenda and more. We had asked to see specific things and Adrian was able to accommodate these as well. We had lunch in a local restaurant and ate delicious local cuisine. Adrian knew the history and current events of Andorra, as well as its economy, government, and exports. He told about some of these in a story format to leave the finale when we visited the next place. This added intrigue and some had funny endings! Adrian added so much more to the tour than just the listed agenda. We travelled thru a 3 mile tunnel and he pointed out and explained its safety features (which we don't have in the US). He also pointed out the parts of the Tour de France and The Route Napoleon that we travelled on. He even played a song about Andorra in English. What a surprise! This tour was all day from/to Barcelona, but it was wonderful and we are so glad we went on this tour!

Our private tour with Adrian was simply spectacular from start to finish! We were picked up right at our hotel, which made everything completely hassle-free. Adrian was incredibly friendly, charismatic, and extremely knowledgeable about Spain and Andorra. He was also very attentive to our needs throughout the entire day. We needed a few extra bathroom breaks and quick snack stops along the way, and Adrian was more than happy to accommodate us. Since we had some extra time, he even took us to a few additional stops that weren’t on the original itinerary, which made the experience feel truly personalized. If you have never been to Andorra or the Pyrenees, it is an absolute must! And if you go, I highly recommend going with Adrian. He knows his stuff and has a wonderful way of making the experience both informative and fun. It was the perfect mix of education, exploration, relaxation, and adventure. Adrian picked us up from our hotel near the train station and gave us an overview of Catalonia and Barcelona as we drove toward Andorra. We were treated to lovely villages and history along the way. Once in Andorra, Adrian knew all the little secret places, and it was a very efficient way to see this lovely country. We felt so privileged to have such excellent narratives to enhance our understanding of Andorra.

Adrian was a great guide and excellent driver. We learned a lot about Andorra and saw many sights. His recommendations for lunch were very good. Very friendly and professional. Overall, a great experience.

We visited Barcelona this summer, but our day trip to Andorra was the absolute highlight. You can take a bus that will dump you in the middle city, but hiring a guide is 100% the way to go. We absolutely loved our guide Adrian! He’s knowledgeable, entertaining, and is great with kids! His English is perfect. Adrian gave us the most fantastic tour of the capital, Andorra la Velle, and the gorgeous mountains and countryside. Walking around, you feel like you are in both Spain and France at once. It’s quite surreal. We had lunch at a fantastic restaurant, saw so many things we would have missed on our own, and even toured a medieval French chateau on the drive back. The day was 10/10!!

Wow what a day! Our guide Adrian was just fantastic. He took us through the Spanish countryside, Andorra and France. He tailored our day to suit us, and kept our 14-year old entertained (no small feat). He took us to all the best photo spots, found us the best food, and took us to all of the cool must-sees as well as the “local only” spots. I’m so glad we booked this tour, Adrian made sure we had the best possible experience and maximized our time to see all the things. In addition, he was just such a nice guy. Friendly, easy to talk to, and made sure we were taken care of at every step. Great day and well worth the drive to Andorra. Adrian was very kind and sent us helpful instructions the day before, was punctual, and his vehicle was very comfortable for the trek. We made stops at hidden gem photo points along the way which also helped to stretch your legs. Our guide Adrian was full of facts and information from our pick up point in Barcelona all the way to Andorra and back. On our drive we stopped at beautiful vistas, and lunch was a place where the locals eat and not a tourist destination. We started our vacation with this tour. We visited 20 cities over 5 weeks, he stands out as one of the best guides on this vacation. I would recommend this tour and Adrain for his knowledge and passion!

Amazing experience with Adrian, and we would *highly* recommend!!! He tailored the tour to our interests and what we wanted to learn about. In addition, he knew the place so well, and he'd scouted out favorite spots that were off the beaten path and that gave us a better sense of what the place is like for locals. What a delight. We booked a private tour to provide us with more customization. Adrian was great providing insights into our tour and was extremely helpful with my wife and helping us with her walker when needed. He continually offered assistance and dropped us off at the nearest spot to the attractions to make it easier for us.

Amazing!! Everything about it was amazing!!! Adrian was our guide and he was the most thoughtful gentleman throughout the trip. I use a walker due to an injury. He made sure to park as close to th actually spots as possible. He helped me in and out of the van all the time. We were with 2 other couples and there was plenty of room for everyone and my walker. None of us are thin, not huge, but not skinny. He was so informative and easy to understand. He shared just enough info and more if we asked. He was always happy and friendly. Adrian would be our choice on any tour. But this was a long 12 hour day and we were all very happy at the end of the day. Ask for Adrian if you can. I can’t imagine a better guide. Oh!!! And that long day was worth every second for seeing almost the whole country of Andorra. It’s so beautiful. The mountains are incredible with beautiful river and tons of shopping if you like. We got the items we wanted but were much more interested in seeing everything. He took us to unbelievable viewpoints. We even got to watch the snow skiers ski while it was snowing.

It was such a lovely experience. Adrian made sure we were comfortable throughout and kept the kids entertained. We got to see so much of a country in a single day. Absolutely worth it.

This trip was perfect! We really wanted an overview of the history of this small country and Adrian did jus that. The day was snowy and cold, but Adrian's driving kept us safe. We saw beautiful vistas from different lookout points along the way. The restaurant Adrian recommended for out lunch was outstanding. It was full of locals enjoying the delicious Andorran beef. Adrian picked us up right on time, he explained, exactly what the tour would entail and the approximate time that it would take. He nailed it! We had a fantastic time and enjoyed the entire day. Can't wait to return to Barcelona and take advantage of another tour!

Adrian, the tour guide, was just phenomenal. He was on time in terms of picking us up, respectful, patient, and informative. He was funny, pleasant, and clearly knowledgeable, answering every question we had and he presented the history of Andorra concisely. We felt like we knew Andorra way more than we expected at the end of the trip. We also love the fact that even though our passports were not checked by the border officer, Adrian still had them stamped as souvenir. It was also nice to see many angles and corners of Andorra, from the capital city to small towns and border towns. In addition, we also love the fact that Adrian brought us to hidden gems in Andorra. We also appreciate Adrian offering to take pictures of us and making sure they look nice and colourful, capturing the beauty of the country. My highlight of the trip would have to be seeing the gorgeous scenery of the mountains as well as the horses. The van was also comfortable and it wasn't too hot or cold, so much so my family definitely fell asleep during the road trip. It was THAT comfortable. To this day, my family still talks about Andorra and how beautiful it is. The day trip made such a small country memorable. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience for families. We had an extra day in Barcelona before a cruise and booked a private day tour of Andorra with Barcelona-Y-Day Trips. The drive to Andorra was beautiful and our guide, Adrian, took us to several scenic stops along the way for photos. It was the 108th country we visited so Adrian, stopped at the border to take our picture with the Andorra sign and got our passports stamped for us. He shared his vast knowledge of the history of the area and knew all of the great spots to stop and take incredible pictures of us to remember our journey. Adrian was a wonderful guide. This excursion is a lot of driving, but he had so many great spots along the drive to get out, stretch your legs and take amazing pics (and he will take amazing pics of you). All the scenery is gorgeous and the trip was well worth it.

This was an outstanding day trip to Andorra with Adrian. If you are interested in seeing Andorra during a stay in Barcelona, I highly recommend this trip. You will get way more out of the day on this trip versus trying to do it by yourself. We drove from one end of Andorra to the other and saw and learned a lot in that time. This was an AWESOME tour! Adrian really knows this area, the history, and all the secret stops for incredible pictures ! Following his recommendations for lunch delivered one of the best meals of our whole trip to Spain ! We visited Andorra in the past , but didn't get the personal service or half of the information Adrian shared with us. By far the best tour of our trip!! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to visit the wonderful little country of Andorra !

Awesome tour. Adrian knows all the secret spots and tons of interesting history of the region. From the multiple stops for history, picture stops, and perfect recomnedation for lunch, this tour was a highlight of our trip. My husband & I were a little apprehensive about a 12-hour tour, but this tour to Andorra was the highlight of our trip to Europe! We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide than Adrian. He was wonderful! Adrian was knowledgeable, kind, and patience. I take lots of photos. Not only was Adrian willing to let me take time to get those "perfect" pics, he took us to several "secret" spots that were lovely. H3 also took pics of my husband and I. We both learned so much from Adrian on the tour. Before we knew it, the 12 hrs had flown by and my husband & I were back at our hotel. Incredible memories were made! I highly recommend this tour!

My wife and I took the Andorra Day Trip with Barcelona-Y-DayTrips, and it was the highlight of our 20-day European vacation! The booking process was very easy and the communication was excellent. Our guide for the day, Adrian, texted with us the day prior to confirm the time and location of our pickup point. He texted with us the morning of our trip and arrived promptly as described. The vehicle was a very nicely equipped Mercedes van and he also included water for us. The drive to Andorra was incredible, and included a lot of history of the Catalonia region. Adrian knew all of the spots to stop and take incredible pictures of us to remember our journey. I cannot say enough things about the beauty and uniqueness of Andorra. We learned so much about the history, people, and culture. He recommended a phenomenal restaurant (Restaurant Manacor) for our lunch, got us a table without any delay, and told us about the best options for the meal. My wife and I agree we had the best steak of our lives during that meal. We completed the tour with a ride down one of the route of Napoleon through some of the most beautiful Catalan towns. Adrian went above and beyond, even calling a restaurant in Barcelona my wife and I booked for later in the night outside the tour, to help ensure our reservation would work with the timeline (we travelled on The National Day of Spain, which coincidentally fell on a Sunday). We will absolutely go back to Andorra to spend more time in that beautiful country. I highly recommend Barcelona-Y-DayTrips for any of their tours. They are top notch, communicate effectively, have excellent customer service, and provide unmatched quality.
