Great way to get to learn historical facts and get to know the local area. The area is fascinating and the tour guide, Alessandro, was so energetic and knowledgeable. The description on the website needs to reflect that there is only one bar stop.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of joining Alan on the Drinks & Bites in El Born Tour, and it was hands down one of the highlights of our trip to Barcelona! Alan was the perfect guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and effortlessly personable. He struck the perfect balance of sharing just enough history to enrich the experience without overwhelming the fun and laid-back vibe. While the bites were enjoyable, the true stars of this tour were the delicious cocktails and the vibrant, unique bars Alan introduced us to. Our favorite stop was an incredible speakeasy tucked away in El Born. From the moment we stepped in, it felt like we’d been transported to another era. The ambiance was unforgettable, and the expertly crafted drinks were phenomenal. Alan’s expertise shone through in every aspect of the tour. He clearly knows the neighborhood like the back of his hand and took us to hidden spots we never would have found on our own. Each stop was a delightful surprise, and Alan’s enthusiasm for the local culture and mixology made the experience even more enjoyable. This tour is a must-do for anyone looking to experience Barcelona’s nightlife like a local. It’s perfect for couples, friends, or anyone who loves exploring unique bars with a side of fascinating stories. We couldn’t stop talking about how much fun we had and how it felt like we were out for drinks with a good friend who just happened to be a walking encyclopedia of El Born. We highly recommend this tour—and Alan specifically! Don’t miss this unforgettable evening in Barcelona.
Our family of 8 flew into Barcelona the night before a cruise. We had only a short time to see the City. Our tour guide Octavio met us at our hotel and we had a great walking tour. Six of our family members were ages 24-30 and they really enjoyed and related to Octavio. Since we were late in arriving and hungry Octavio called a restaurant, made reservations, and took us to enjoy Tapas. It was very busy on a Saturday night but we were immediately seated at a lovely table. Octavio explained all about the foods and ordered for us. The meal was heavenly and the conversation even better. It was so great to have a private tour guide that could relate to us, show us things we would enjoy, and fit things into our limited time schedule! Highly recommended!
Cancelled last minute, very disappointed that they did not reschedule or tell us sooner to give us time to book something else.
I’m sure this tour was a scam. It was a walking tour that only included the statue of the cat and a stop at a tapas bar. The tour guide was unaware this was to be a magical evening. The guide was a nice man, who tried to discuss history, but had limited knowledge. We were not shown any of the night lights of buildings or monuments as I expected. We did go to a tapas bar. My husband ordered a beer, I ordered water. We had a tapas plate each (suppose to be included), and was told we had to pay for one of the tapas as it was not in the budget even though we only had one alcohol drink and was allowed 2 tapas. It was booked as a 2.5 hr tour. My husband was great and tried to keep the conversation going, but after 1.5 hrs, I ended the torture and called it a night. This negative experience cost $159. They should pay us for our time.
We thought it would be nice to schedule a stroll around the gothic quarter on the evening of our arrival day. Boy are we glad we did!! We met up with Sebastian and strolled for 2 hours. The history he told us was outstanding. It was clear to see his love for Barcelona. You won’t be disappointed. Meeting point directions are east with google maps.
Alan was a fantastic guide. It was a magical evening w/Alan, as he showed us a different side of Barcelona. Learned a lot about Barcelona!!
I had a great time touring the gothic quarter with Karim- thank you for a fun evening in Barcelona! It was great to do it on my first evening in the city and get to understand the neighborhood. Thanks Karim!
Your guide didn’t show and we had to contact him only for him to try to reschedule. He then told us where to go and the places weren’t even open.
What a tour, what a guide. Very smart. Really set the stage for my visit to Barcelona. I got to see places I would have never discovered on my own.
We did not have this experience as the person did not show up for the tour! We attempted to contact the tour operator multiple times and chatted with Viator on the WhatsApp and even they could not contact the tour operator. This was not a good experience.
We absolutely loved our evening with Gonzalo. As a local he was able to explain some very interesting history about locations and the origins of place names and customs. These were all things that we would not have discovered otherwise, and then of course, the best part is that all of this takes place over the course of a couple of hours exploring the hidden culinary gems of the back streets of El Born where there are many eclectic local Tapas bars that only the bravest tourist would usually frequent. If you are a well seasoned confident traveller this may not be an issue, but if like us, you really want to learn a bit more about Barcelona from a Local and not from a guide book then we would thoroughly recommend this. We visited 4 separate Tapas bars and in each we had a different small bite to eat and a drink. All were delicious. Gonzalo explained how Tapas came about and why it is still an important tradition in Spain. He also gave us great advice about how to choose Tapas bars and avoid the tourist traps. By the time we finished our time with Gonzalo we felt confident enough to then try new bars and restaurants that we may not have before and really get the best from our time in Barcelona. Overall we would really recommend this experience - it has all the key ingredients - great knowledgable company, tasty food and drinks and a chance to try new things. Thank you Gonzalo !
My wife and I had a fantastic time with our guide Sebastian. He was a wealth of knowledge and fun!!!
Out tour guide, Kareem, was pleasant and knowledgeable. Truly enjoyed the vermouth at the second location. He recommended a speak easy afterward that was an amazing experience.
Nevena was exceptional in introducing us to some of the great Spanish food and wine that we had not experienced. She had lot of knowledge on the food and wine from various regions of Spain. And most of all she took us to some amazing places to eat, which on our own we most definitely would not have found. Her friendly personality made for a lovely evening. Thank you Nevena.
hi, pri is marvelous. took us to wonderful places. fantastic personality. would recommend her highly to anyone.
We spent a wonderful evening with Elvira last saturday in small, unknown, outstanding tapas bars. Elvira explained us the different dishes, the stories about. We also get a lot of tipps for our further stay in Barcelona, she recommend us a typical flamenco show which was also nice to visit. We had a lot of fun, many delicious pinchos and time passed much to fast. We can only recommend a tour with Elvira! Anna & Jutta, Austria
We took a local tour in Barcelona with Elvira to celebrate our birthday.Elvira provided a wonderful experience of several local establishments and various tapas and wines. We really enjoyed the opportunity to see places that we might not have otherwise chosen and taste foods that we wouldn't have known to order. It added more of a cultural element to our sightseeing expeditions. We highly recommend Elvira to anyone wishing to broaden their horizons for what Barcelona has to offer.Cheers
Maria was simply FABULOUS!! Amazing tour & experience. Food, cocktails & locations were great!! Added bonus was all we learned about the culture, Food & Barcelona too was wonderful. Also the communication she had with us before & after tour was above & beyond!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND her!! Would go again next time I am back 100%!
Had a great food tour. Maria was very attentive and took us too some interesting authentic cafes/ restaurants and introduced us to pintxos, as well as some history and current affairs. I would definitely recommend if you are in Barcelona.
Elvira is a top notch guide. She quickly became a member of the group because she's extremely friendly and chatty. She shared some history of Barcelona while walking and introduced us to great food! We returned to Barcelona as a layover before returning to the U.S. and she suggested dinner spots near our hotel along the beach which was above and beyond what we expected as this was weeks after our initial food tour. I'd definitely pick her again as a guide if ever in the area.
Maria did an awesome job bringing us to places we would have never gone on our own.The atmosphere was awesome and so we're the food and drinks. She also did a great job giving a history of the area along the way and was very helpful with any questions we had.The meeting place was also easy to find using the withlocals app.
Elvira was the best tour guide you could hope for. She was bubbly, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She gave us some great advice on things to do in the city and made our Tapas Tour an unforgettable experience. We would highly recommend Elvira as your tour guide. Thank you Elvira from the 4 Aussie oldies !
Nevena was an amazing guide. She tailored our time together to help me understand the tourist vs local food scene, including Markets, little shops, and little bars/restaurants.She was knowledgable about all of those areas as well as gave me great historical tidbits. She was equally as enthusiastic to learn about where I came from and my interests. Her tour was the perfect introduction to Barcelona for me and I highly reccomend her!!
Manuel did an incredible job showing us all of Barcelona. We really feel like we know the city! Manuel was knowledgeable and extremely enjoyable to talk to!
100% recommended Karina for a tour. She is genuinely lovely woman. Very knowledgeable and super friendly. We done the wine and tapas tour for my sisters 40th. Karina made our night, she took us to some authentic Spanish bars we would have never tried. It is a delight to spend time in her company x
Karina provides an authentic Barcelona night out, she is very knowledgeable and has a perspective tourists don’t have. She really shows you what it is like to be a local for a night. Would recommend 100%
We had a great night with Sebastian, it was like being with an old friend. He instantly put everyone at ease, there was never a lull in the conversation. Sebastian took us to 3 interesting places that definitely seemed to be places frequented by locals. He was full of information about every aspect of Barcelona and answered any questions we had. Our 22 and 27 year old sons are still talking about Sebastian and the absinthe! Thanks, Sebastian, for adding a truly personal experience to our Barcelona vacation.
Had a lovely walking tour, guided by Pri. She was enthusiastic and pleasant to be with. Her recommendations for tapas, wine and beer were great, and she also offered suggestions for our remaining time in Barcelona. Thanks Pri!

Our guide was excellent but felt a little rushed. She was very knowledgeable and friendly.
