Rooms and hotel are nice, arrived at 11:30pm, got put in a bigger room to begin with but there was electrical problem in that room so got moved to a small one (still nice) but that was the only one they had, took us until about 1am to re pack and unpack into new room. Staff were nice about it. They said in the morning to come down and get a bigger room but the guy at the reception at this time (a different guy) said we had to pay €35 to upgrade… anyway, the club that was basically next door keeps you up a lot of the night from the bass, very loud, some reception staff were rude others nice, location is a little far out from the centre but that’s fine as walking is good for you.

Just stayed here for 4 nights as a family of 4. Had a lovely time overall. Positives - great location. In a local neighbourhood so lots of cheqp eats around and close to Metro. Rooms- Family room which had been modernised last year so fresh, spacious and clean. Food - Good selection at breakfast with fried eggs and omelettes to order and a selection of.hot and cold food etc including cava. Pool- They were just finishing refurbishments and created a second pool with spa-like elements which was nice. However, had to endure a day of film crews trying to.film promotional video and felt like we were in the way as we were walking about our daily.business. Reception staff were lovely. Friendly and helpful. Negatives- Inconsistency with outside terrace closing times. One night it was midnight, another we were asked to leave at 11.40pm (on a Friday evening). After paying over £200 per night and 20 euros for a gin and tonic, most disappointing and not very customer led. Also, inconsistency in being treated like an adult with glasses in the evening. One male server in particular would never give more than a plastic cup for said 10 euro per drink whereas other staff would. Also, was a group of very loud Dutch young men/boys staying who for 3 days took over the pool in the afternoon with loud euro music with no consideration from others. Staff would have done well to have read the room and asked them to consider others. That said, was a great stay overall.
The staff at ZT Hotel & Spa Villa Olímpica Suites were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even helped us recover the full penalty charge from our mistakenly booked stay at ZT The Golden Barcelona Hotel, and we truly appreciate their assistance. The hotel is stylishly designed, conveniently located, and I would highly recommend it. The only area that needs improvement is the outdoor pool towel policy. Whether you stay for 3 days, 5 days, or even longer, each guest is provided with only one complimentary pool towel for the entire stay. In my experience, providing each guest with at least one clean pool towel per day is a basic standard of hotel service. Pool towels come into contact with pool water containing sunscreen, chlorine, cleaning chemicals, and other guests' sweat. For guests staying multiple days, limiting them to a single pool towel throughout their stay is not hygienic and is something the hotel's management should seriously consider improving.
I had a fantastic stay at Hotel & Spa Villa Olimpica Suites and would definitely recommend it to anyone heading to Barcelona. The rooms and common areas were spotless — you could tell the place is really well looked after, which makes such a difference. The spa and pool were a real highlight too: modern, relaxing, and perfect for winding down after a full day out exploring the city. Breakfast was another thing that stood out — loads of variety, all fresh and good quality. A great way to start the morning. Location-wise, it's super convenient if you want easy beach access. The one downside is that it's a bit far from the main sights and city centre, so you'll need to rely on public transport or taxis to get around — but honestly, not a dealbreaker at all. Overall, a fantastic stay and well worth it! 🇪🇸🏨
Actually such a wonderful stay. Big variety of food at the breakfast buffet, multilingual staff, clean rooms with tons of natural lighting, it made my stay in Barcelona so relaxing, especially not knowing Catalan or Spanish. Spa was beautiful and the outdoor seating was a wonderful way to enjoy my complementary sangria (even with the closed pool). 15 min walk to the beach and 5 min walking to the L4 metro line (cards are easy to obtain at the station). However, my only complaint is the shuttle service I booked through them (done by Unictransfers). I was told I could pay with cash or card, and was told there would be a fee if the driver waited over an hour past arrival. I get my bag and arrive at the meeting point 50 min after my arrival and proceed to wait over an hour for a driver that kept saying he'd be there in 10. Once I arrived at the hotel, the driver told/showed me that's card reader wasn't charged and need to pay with cash. This added about an extra 30 min after arriving to my hotel looking for a working ATM, and the driver also didn't have change to break up the 20 I got from the ATM. Would recommend booking a Lyft through Freenow for half the cost and 10x less waiting. But no complaints about the actual hotel.
