We picked this hotel for the Barcelona leg of our Spain trip mainly because it is a reasonably large hotel with a good location. The location is exceptional. Situated on La Rambla street, surrounded by restaurants, shops and grocery stores, it is within 10 minutes walking distance from the Gothic quarter, la Bocqueria market, Plaza Catalunya and the Barcelona cathedral. It is also very close to the metro which allows farther locations like the Sagrada Familia, Picasso museum or Park Guell to be reached in 20 minutes. The hotel was either built or renovated recently. The rooms are modern and spacious. The staff is friendly and professional and made us feel welcomed. We included the breakfast in our reservation and it is composed of coffee, tea, juices, yogurt, fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, bread, beans, sausage, bacon, egg and frittata. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this hotel. It is in a very convenient location. It has easy access to many shops, restaurants and train. It’s super close to the biggest Zara and the food market. There’s also a supermarket next to it. It’s very convenient. The La ramblas was under constructions, so was a bit hard to find at first, but once you found it, it’s easy to navigate. It is newly renovated. They have water dispensers on each floor. The rooms are spacious. We had the street view and could get a little noisy. The restaurant next door offers 10% off for guests staying in this hotel. The front desk was very helpful and assisted us to get a taxi to the cruise port on our last day when Tour de France was happening. 2 things we noted: When the train passes by, we can feel the vibrations. We also found a few tiny cockroaches during our stay. It freaked my kid out, but we managed.
Location is perfect. Two negative points, reason I give 3 stars and not 5: #1- We booked that hotel because of location and rooftop. When checking in, they mentioned that the rooftop was closed because of needed roof repairs. #2- The roof repairs team uses pneumatic and electric tools and drills making a lot of noise during the day. I had several TEAMS meetings booked and I had to go to a coffee shop to do them instead of using my room. I would have appreciated being informed of that prior to do my online checking. I understand roof maintenance is urgent have to be done, but at least you should have warned us of the upcoming roof work.
We booked a room for two adults and one teenager through Expedia. However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were informed that the reservation only included two adults. The front desk agent kindly helped us update the reservation to include our son. She was very friendly, respectful, and extremely helpful throughout the process. We still don’t understand why our original booking for two adults and one teenager was not correctly reflected in the reservation. Aside from that issue, our stay was excellent. The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and the customer service was outstanding. We especially appreciate the professionalism and kindness of the front desk staff. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would recommend this hotel.
The location is wonderful with the exception of the construction going on along the street. The service was pleasant and efficient. The breakfast was excellent. One of the better ones at any hotel I've stayed at. The only thing I can critique is the room's HVAC. The air vent is poorly located, as it blows air directly to ones head while in bed, with no adjustable louvers to redirect the air. The lack of towel hangers in the bathroom was a little annoying as the room is quite large.
