We stayed for 3 nights and are very happy to have chosen Petit Palace Museum for our stay in Barcelona. The location is fantastic - in the Eixample district and just around the corner from Las Ramblas and a short walk to the Metro. If you're inclined to stay in just the Eixample area, there is plenty to see and do and loads of restaurants. If you're keen to explore, so much more is nearby on foot. We paid to upgrade to a room with a terrace and let me tell you that was a great way to unwind after a long travel day and at the end of each sightseeing day! The room was large for European hotel standards, with a king-sized bed and a lovely firm mattress. I did request another pillow as the pillows were a little soft, but I realize that's personal preference. There was a strong musty, almost sewage smell in the bathroom when we checked in but once we opened the windows, the smell dissipated. The shower is next level! It was huge and has all sorts of jets, plus a rainfall shower head and a handheld - it felt like a spa shower! All the staff, from check in, to breakfast, to check out were very friendly and helpful. Speaking of breakfast, that was definitely a highlight! The breakfast includes plenty of hot and cold options, loads of fresh fruit, meats & cheeses and a great coffee machine. Thoughtful touches like vegetarian options and different milks (oat, soy, almond, full fat, skim etc.). The breakfast was the perfect way to fuel for the day. Overall, would definitely recommend and would stay again when returning to Barcelona. Gracias!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but for a hotel advertised as a 4-star property charging over $400 per night, this was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was the condition and cleanliness of the room. There was visible dust and dirt throughout the room, and the hair dryer was covered in what appeared to be accumulated dust and grime that had clearly not been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom also showed signs of poor maintenance, with visible mold and mildew around the shower and corners. I have attached photos because they speak for themselves. The room felt much closer to a budget hostel than a premium 4-star hotel. At this price point, guests should expect a clean, well-maintained room, not one with visible mold and neglected fixtures. The room was also lacking basic modern conveniences. There were no USB charging ports, something that is now common in hotels at this price level, making it inconvenient for international travelers. The only positive aspect of our stay was the breakfast. It was decent with a reasonable selection, but even that was not enough to justify the nightly rate given the overall condition of the room. I expected significantly better from Petit Palace Museum. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, improves housekeeping and maintenance standards, and reaches out with an appropriate resolution. Based on the condition of the room compared to the price paid, I do not believe we received the level of accommodation that was advertised.
We had an excellent stay at Petit Palace! The location was absolutely perfect - close to everything we wanted to see and explore. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Shout out to Yannick for bringing us a new TV remote! 😄 The hotel offered great value for the price, and the complimentary buffet breakfast was a wonderful bonus with plenty of options to start the day. One of the biggest surprises was the bathroom. For this price point, it was by far the largest bathroom we've ever had in Europe, which made our stay even more comfortable. Overall, Petit Palace exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
We were in beautiful Barcelona for 12 days for a conference and vacation. The Petit Palace and all of its staff were wonderful. The room, although modestly sized, was excellent and had a small balcony overlooking the street. Very nice ("Continental") breakfast buffet. All the staff were pleasant and efficient, from housekeeping to management. The location is near both Metro and bus stops. 1/2 block from vibrant restaurant scene of all kinds, including many with indoors or street terrace seating.
Great location, really close to everything in the city centre. The rooms were quiet and well sound proofed. The room was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Breakfast was good too. It didn't have a huge selection, but it covered everything you would want. Coffee machines are good and quick. Front desk staff were friendly and as I'm learning Spanish helped me by speaking slowly so I could learn. Very much would come back to this hotel.
