Mercer Hotel Barcelona

Excellent location, beautiful and quiet accommodations, comfortable lobby and attentive staff. We recently stayed at the Mercer Hotel in the Gothic Quarter. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. Our room was spotless and beautifully appointed. The common areas — including an inner courtyard—were magnificently designed to keep historic elements such as stone walls and wood beams while incorporating contemporary conveniences. The lobby served as a comfortable gathering place for meeting up with Barcelona friends before exploring the neighborhood. The staff thoughtfully provided us with a wheelchair that we could use throughout our stay. As Americans we appreciated that the staff spoke English and Stefano was especially gracious and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We had tapas at the attached restaurant and everything was delicious. If you’re looking for an exceptional boutique hotel in a historic area with restaurants and shops and offers air conditioning, lifts, elegance and personalized service, look no further than the Mercer Hotel.

Hotel Mercer Barcelona exceeded all our expectations! Tucked away in the historic Gothic Quarter, the hotel has an incredible, charming atmosphere full of character. The rooms are beautiful and surprisingly spacious, and the staff provides top-tier service from start to finish. Breakfast was also flawless, with fantastic quality and fresh options. The location is unbeatable, just a five-minute walk from both La Rambla and the port, with endless great restaurants right at your doorstep. Plus, traveling by car was completely stress-free because the hotel handles everything with their seamless valet parking service. We loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat!

This establishment is ideally situated on a tranquil street within the historic Gothic Quarter. The air conditioning system operates effectively. The staff consistently demonstrates a high level of helpfulness and amiability. The breakfast service is exceptional, offering a diverse selection of breads, cheeses, juices, cereals, and yogurts. Additionally, guests have the option to order eggs prepared to their specific preferences. The accommodations are comfortable, featuring high-quality linens and towels, complemented by plush, well-filled pillows. The bathroom facilities are comprehensively equipped, with fully functional hot and cold water systems. While the pool area is aesthetically pleasing, we did not utilize it during our stay. We noted that the rooftop view could be enhanced. The ambient sound of the church bells was a particularly charming aspect of our experience. The property also features a restaurant and bar, which we did not have the opportunity to experience. Had our stay been extended, we would have considered dining there for a quiet and relaxing evening. We highly recommend this establishment.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Mercer Hotel Barcelona. Fantastic location in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. Step out the front door and you're in a different world. Best breakfast we've ever had at a hotel. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. We hope to make it back someday. 5 Stars.
