This was our second consecutive stay at Meliá Barcelona Sky, and it remains a hotel we are very fond of. We always book a room in The Level category on one of the higher floors. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed and spotlessly clean, with wonderful views across Barcelona, including the Sagrada Família. The staff are friendly, the service is excellent, and everything is comfortable and well organised. Overall, it is a lovely hotel that we have always enjoyed returning to. Unfortunately, there was one major disappointment during this visit: breakfast. On our previous stay, breakfast for The Level guests was served at Skyline 24, on the 24th floor, with magnificent panoramic views of the city. It was one of the highlights of staying in this room category and made the whole experience feel rather special. Sadly, breakfast has now been moved to the main restaurant on the ground floor, and the difference is considerable, both in the quality of the food and the standard of service. In my opinion, the current breakfast experience falls well short of what one would expect from a five-star hotel, particularly for guests paying extra for The Level. This is the only reason I am giving the hotel four stars rather than five. I would sincerely encourage the hotel management to reconsider this decision and bring breakfast for The Level guests back to Skyline 24. It was one of the features that made this hotel stand out and a significant reason why we chose to stay here again. If breakfast returns to the 24th floor, we will happily come back. However, if the current arrangement remains, I honestly see little reason to book The Level again. It is a real shame, because in every other respect this is an excellent hotel.

A heartfelt thank you to Maria, such a wonderful and caring staff member! ❤️ When our child became ill with a stomach bug, Maria took such loving and thoughtful care of us. She did everything she could to make things easier for us and ensure that the rest of our stay was as pleasant as possible. Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help truly touched our hearts. People like Maria make all the difference and are a real asset to any hotel! Thank you so much for everything, Maria! ❤️
This Melia hotel does not deserve a 5-star rating, especially The Level. Our room on the 14th floor, supposedly The Level, was very dirty with so much dust and had broken wall panels in the bathroom. The photos I’ve attached to this review are proof of the lack of cleanliness of this establishment. It is a far cry from the Melia The Level in Bilbao, which was new, clean and felt luxurious. Also, the carpet of the hallway was very very dirty and seemed like the housekeeping staff never clean it. Also, sound isolation is not so good — we heard the people upstairs/beside us a lot. While the staff are kind and helpful, they need to be trained better; when we checked in, the staff who assisted us did not seem to be well-informed about the benefits of The Level guests so we had a lot of conflicting info which was confusing. Additionally, the breakfast for The Level guests was surprisingly less in amount than the breakfast buffet for other “normal” guest rooms, although The Level guests can also get food from the other side, but the fact that The Level is supposed to be a higher tier and we get less food during the breakfast buffet is surprising. Also, the section for The Level guests during breakfast was not managed very well because other guests could easily come and go to The Level breakfast section, so it feels less “private” or “high level” - it would be better if there was a sign or proper barrier at the section entrance or just use the room on the 25th floor for The Level guests during breakfast, because it was like a comedy watching “normal” hotel guests come and go. The location is a new area of Barcelona, but it is far from most sites and the livelier parts of BCN. There is a tram and buses 5 mins walk from the hotel but it will take 30-40 mins to get to the center of the city. It is kind of close to the beach though. In conclusion, I do not think that I will be staying at this Melia branch again because the first impression was not good. Hope they improve though.
Excellent stay! Everything went very well. The room was lovely, with a beautiful sea view. I would also like to thank all the staff for their kindness and warm welcome. Everyone was very friendly and professional. A special thank you to Stefano, who was extremely kind and helpful even before our arrival. He made sure everything was well organized and was very attentive to our needs, which we truly appreciated. I also booked a massage for my mother during her first stay at this hotel, and she absolutely loved the experience! 💆🏽♀️✨ She really appreciated the quality of the massage, the professionalism, and the relaxing atmosphere. A special thank you to Sofia for her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail, which truly made this moment special. A wonderful experience from start to finish! ❤️ We would happily come back!
Absolutely fantastic stay - I cannot wait to return. The staff were impeccable - always engaging, friendly, and happy to help with anything. The room was super comfortable with strong WiFi, a great shower, and (most importantly in this heat) air conditioning which worked very well! The location was ideal - very close to Westfield shopping centre, the beach, and metro station allowing easy access to the centre. I also tried the pool a few times and while not the largest, it did the job by cooling me down. Nice pool bar with friendly service and great drinks. Lots of cafes, restaurants, grocery stores within walking distance. Highly recommend.
