Location is good if you realise you book outside the city center. The Mall across the street is good for shopping and food. The green hop on hop off city tour bus stops in front of the hotel, but it will take >45 min to get to the city with that one. Taxi is 10 min / 15 euro to eg Ramblas. Swimming pool is decent size, but very busy and people dont respect the no smoking rule. Staff doesn't pay much attention to that unfortunately. Here are the things we didnt like and make us decide not to return: - hotel charged almost 100 euro extra for taxes while taxes where already paid upfront to Agoda. Agoda now says the hotel forces them to do so. - many things were broken (closet, shower, airco). They fixed most of it after we called reception. - there was a strong sewer smell in the room after turning on the airco. - the breakfast ends early even in the weekend and the staff in the restaurant is unfriendly, they kick you out.

Leonardo Royal Forum Barcelona truly left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I arrived, everything was perfect. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, and the entire hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained, from the entrance to the rooms. The location was also one of the things I appreciated the most. It was very convenient for exploring Barcelona, with easy access to both the city’s main attractions and the beach. It made getting around so much easier and allowed me to enjoy every moment of my trip without spending too much time travelling. But what made my stay particularly enjoyable was the comfort of the hotel. After long days exploring Barcelona, coming back to a clean, quiet, and comfortable room made such a difference. I genuinely had some of the best sleep during my trip, which allowed me to wake up refreshed and enjoy each new day. Overall, my stay at Leonardo Royal Forum was an amazing experience. The combination of excellent service, cleanliness, comfort, and location made my trip even more enjoyable. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona.
Lovely choice for a city break weekend! All staff are welcoming and helpful- big thank you to housekeeping for keeping our room topped up and freshly cleaned everyday, we appreciated your hard work. Rooms were a decent size. We payed extra for a sea view but I would recommend just getting a standard room. Amenities were included such as fridge, safe, kettle, coffee machine, toiletries, fresh towels everyday. Make sure you have your keycard on you at all times as you need it to access the levels in the lift! On the 13th floor was the restaurant that led out to the outside rooftop pool with both indoor and outdoor furniture. Pool was lovely temperature, perfect depth levels and clean. Restaurant and room service was expensive and had limited options with the food however the staff were very quick and attentive. Just be prepared when arriving you have to pay €100 deposit for breakage damage reasons. The lobby was perfect including plenty of furniture, luggage room, toilets, etc. Location was out of the city meaning you had to get a taxi to go explore however opposite the hotel there’s a big shopping mall, restaurants, supermarkets and 10 minute walk to the beaches. My only suggestion would be in the bathroom a bigger drying rack for towels as there’s no balcony it’s harder to dry swimwear and towels!
Everything was great. Bear in mind that minibar fridge is empty and there is no toilet brush. Not a big deal but I don’t like to leave residue to the cleaning staff, seems to me kind of humiliating, but maybe it’s just a cultural difference. Breakfast is excellent, really tasty, there is a variety of cooked dishes and cold cuts, granola, nuts, sweets. Scrambled eggs are cooked to perfection, which is a foolproof method to evaluate breakfast quality in hotels. Orange juice is the best I had in a while. Maybe I had expected some fish for breakfast (e.g. salmon, brined anchovies etc.) but there weren’t any. Didn’t use any other amenities so I can’t tell. Staff is helpful and cheerful, even cleaning ladies (and men) smile in the corridor. Overall I don’t know if it’s artificial or not, but atmosphere seems relaxed and good vibey. Regarding location, it was convenient for me since I was on a business trip and business was conducted in the CCIB which is right in front of the hotel. But I think overall location is good, there is a direct metro line to the city historical center (L4) and tram line along the Avinguda Diagonal (T4). And the beach is right in front of you, and a big shopping mall right behind you.
Stayed here for 3 nights , 31.5.26 - 03.06.26 was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Perfect location for commuting , clean and fresh .
