This us one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The location is perfect in the Gothic area. Rooms are beautiful, staff is outstanding, with a special shout out to Jean Paul and the rest of the front house team. We will definitely be back any time we head to Barcelona. Thank you so much, Gisele & Paul

I visited Lamaro Hotel to meet friends who were already upstairs enjoying drinks on the rooftop. Unfortunately, my experience with the door man(named Anuar) at the front entrance was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. He refused to let me upstairs until I could provide photographic proof that my friends were there or arrange a phone call involving my friends and the rooftop waiter to confirm their presence. I found this excessive and unnecessarily humiliating, especially as I was simply trying to join a group already on the rooftop. What made the situation worse was that he then asked where I was from, which was completely irrelevant, and proceeded to mock my accent before finally telling me to go to the 7th floor. To make matters even more frustrating, another friend arrived just five minutes after me and was allowed upstairs without being stopped, questioned, or asked to provide any proof whatsoever. The inconsistency in how guests were treated was unacceptable. I was made to feel as though I didn’t belong or wasn’t welcome, and no guest should have to experience that when visiting a hotel. It’s particularly unfortunate because the staff working on the rooftop were incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. They provided exactly the type of hospitality you would expect from a hotel like Lamaro. Unfortunately, the behavior of one person at the entrance completely overshadowed that positive experience. Mocking a guest’s accent, making them feel unwelcome, and applying inconsistent standards of entry is simply unacceptable. Lamaro Hotel should seriously reconsider how guests are treated at their front entrance, because first impressions matter.
The breakfast was the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel ever! Our room didn't have a view but was still very nice. The staff was all excellent and location was really nice in the gothic quarters. Would absolutely stay here again!! The shower had excellent water pressure and the room even had a good blow dryer! Loved my stay here!
An excellent rooftop bar with an amazing atmosphere! Right from the entrance, my friend and I were welcomed by Anuar, who was very friendly. Melanie is super friendly, cheerful, and positive—she's a absolute pleasure to talk to. And a huge thank you to Chus for her incredible kindness, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail with the guests. Such genuine service and human warmth are really hard to find these days.
We had a wonderful time here - the staff members were all very friendly and helpful, the room was great (we chose to book a room with a cathedral view, which was lovely). Room types were clearly communicated on their website, and we chose to book the cathedral room. There is some noise, but you should expect that in a central, city location like this - and I was actually impressed with how much noise the glass balcony doors filtered out when closed. We slept very well. We booked directly on their website (which you should always do!) and they gave us complimentary access to the mini bar (one stocking of it) for doing so. A unique perk! Location was great, with the full acknowledgement that it's a highly concentrated tourism area. You can easily walk around the Gothic Quarter and El Born from the hotel, and you also have nearby access to the metro, which we utilized via an Hola Barcelona card, which we found really easy. We also walked down to the beach in Barcelonetta, which is a bit longer of a walk, but a pleasant one.
