Hotel Paxton Barcelona

Worst 4star hotel I’ve been to. 1. The most important thing at a hotel - the bed - was uncomfortable. The mattress and pillows were soft and cheap, very challenging to sleep on them. 2. There was a strange door in the room, perhaps leading to the room next to it. It did not have any locker. On the other side, there was a similar door, without a door knob. A person on the other side could just see in our room through our door’s slit. And with a regular tool, to just open our strange door as well. I was not expecting such a thing not even for 2stars hotels. 3. The toilet is surrounded by matte, semi-opaque glass. So the silhouette of the person inside is seen from outside. Because of the glasa door and wall, there is also a small slit through it can be seen inside, the sounds and smells are almost 100% not blocked. 4. This is more of a situational issue - it can be nice for a couple. But us, at a business travel, no: the shower surrounded by not very matte glass, can be seen inside quite clearly. And also, no door at the shower or bathroom, so someone entering the room door would see straight in the shower. Otherwise, the design, atmosfere, service, and food were good.

Great hotel and a wonderful stay! The rooms are modern, very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always helpful. We really enjoyed our time at Paxton Barcelona and felt very comfortable from start to finish. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We live in the area. We moved to the hotel because our daughter and her family were in town for a few days. The Paxton has a wonderful reception. Great design. Beautiful colours. The staff is just OK. It’s just a two hotel chain. The building has a terrible and irreversible defect : only two elevators. Be prepared to wait. The pool area is nice. The nearby Voraport has incredible 360 views of Barcelona.

Rooms was great, bed was comfy, and coffee in room is acceptable! Common areas stylish and comfy. Only tiny issue for me was that hallway noise would sneak in easily into the room - perhaps more because I was next to the lifts. Lifts btw are a bit slow (only 2 for the whole building). Overall very nice.
