Hotel El Palace Barcelona

Our stay at El Palace was absolutely wonderful. The hotel has such a grand, timeless atmosphere from the moment you walk in and it's all very elegant. The ambience is absolutely superb and the standard of the decor is excellent, while the welcoming service makes the experience feel warm and comfortable rather than formal. Our room felt like a retreat after a day out. spacious, very nicely furnished and absolutely comfortable. The in room amenities, the beds are plush and the general presentation were all excellent and made it very easy to just relax and feel at home. Housekeeping did a superb job of keeping everything fresh and tidy during our stay. The service was absolutely outstanding at every level. From the front desk staff to concierge and bellhops at the door, all were professional, attentive and very courteous. The dining experience was another highlight, food was amazing and fresh.We also really enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and the garden around it which added such a nice element to the whole experience with its great ambience and such a lovely setting. truly exceptional hospitality. We left with wonderful memories and would happily return. Highly recommended.

Beautiful very old fashioned feel. Elegant and reminiscent of early 1900's Mansion vibe. Big, bold, brass, mirrors, beautiful art, lovely music. Staff is among the best I have ever seen. Rooftop view and dining was perfect. You could see the sea and city.

This truly is the Grande Dame of Barcelona! This was our first visit to Barcelona, therefore our first visit to this lovely hotel. It was highly recommended to us, and certainly did not let us down, in fact, exceeded our expectations! The staff was incredible! The room, just absolutely lovely. The hotel itself, after being 100 years old, did not show its age at all, and, in fact, absolutely Shine! So much attention to detail! The garden restaurant for breakfast was magical, with birds flying around! Hated to leave and would highly recommend!

We only spent two nights in Barcelona, but our stay at El Palace was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcomed and took such great care of us. The team surprised us with the most beautiful honeymoon setup in our room—a gorgeous red heart-shaped balloon, a matching heart-shaped cake (which was delicious!), and a bottle of cava. It was the sweetest surprise and made us feel so special. A huge thank you to Emmanuel for giving us such a lovely tour of the hotel and our room. It was the perfect way to start our stay. Bellmen Raul and Eloi were both so kind and helpful every time we saw them. Idalija at the concierge desk was an absolute gem. She was always so sweet and attentive, whether we were grabbing our room key, looking for restaurant recommendations, or needed help with anything at all. The hotel is also in the perfect location, within walking distance of fantastic shopping and amazing restaurants, all in a very safe neighborhood. The breakfast is an absolute must—don’t skip it! The buffet was incredible with so many delicious options, and the beautiful setting made it one of our favorite parts of each morning. We also booked a private tour of the Sagrada Família and Park Güell during our stay through El Palace, which we highly recommend! It was definitely the highlight of our stay. Thank you to the entire team for making our short stay so memorable. We can’t wait to come back to Barcelona, and when we do, we’ll definitely be staying at El Palace again!
