Staying at Hotel Concordia Barcelona made my time in the city absolutely seamless. Located directly on Avinguda Paral·lel, the location is unbeatable, the Poble Sec metro station is literally right outside the front door, putting Plaça d'Espanya, Montjuïc, and the Gothic Quarter just minutes away. The surrounding neighborhood feels vibrant and local, with incredible tapas spots along Carrer de Blai just a short walk around the corner. The hotel strikes a great balance between sleek modern design and warm hospitality. The front desk team was welcoming, efficient, and eager to share practical tips for navigating the city. The room was well-arranged, and exceptionally quiet despite the central location, ensuring a restful night’s sleep on a very comfortable bed. Reliable Wi-Fi, effective air conditioning, and a crisp, clean bathroom made returning to the room at the end of the day a pleasure. The outdoor pool terrace and cocktail bar were a huge highlight. Having a relaxed, sunny spot to unwind with a drink after logging thousands of steps around Barcelona added a resort-like feel to an urban stay. Hotel Concordia delivers outstanding value, superb connectivity, and top-tier service. It is an ideal base for exploring Barcelona, and I would happily book another stay here in a heartbeat.

I agree with many others, that this isn’t a typical four-star hotel. It may have been at one time, but it’s not a four star anymore. That’s not to say that it’s a bad hotel just that in what a four star means, it is not. We stayed at this hotel for a group travel experience, and it was satisfactory, considering the neighborhood it was in. Very old school when you think about the sewage systems that seemingly rise to the street level for all to experience the old world charm. Staff did accommodate an early check-in to the rooms. Strangely, on every floor, there was potable water dispenser for you to refill your bottles. It begs the question whether or not the bathroom water is potable. Our view was cultural and showed us how locals live, peering into their balconies and trash receptacles on the street. The drapes were mostly closed as we were visiting during a heat dome event. However, the air conditioning is slow to cool but gets very cold when it does. There’s no happy medium. Just set it for what you want as the end of the day and use the blankets to stay warm. The room had an excellent junior fridge that kept our medical needs cold. All in all, this was a decent stay but not a 4-star experience.
Nice hotel, had a refurb. We stayed 3 nights in room 211. Room is spacious but lacks abit of thought, like a mirror on desk, a shelf by big mirror to put eg straighteners because you have to stand up. Maybe just a few pictures need putting up, to make it less bland. Obv you don’t spend a lot of time in the room so not a problem. Pool bar was nice & quiet you had to call down for a drink ( just take your own ) Good location to everything. Taxi to beach was €12 Nice cheap coffee locally and tapas bars. Would recommend tho
Very mixed feelings about this stay. The location was excellent and the atmosphere of the hotel was really nice. However, I was very disappointed that it was impossible to extend the check-out time even by one hour — not even as a paid option. In most four-star hotels this is usually not a problem, especially when a guest is willing to pay extra. Being told to “check again in the morning” also makes little sense when the whole point of requesting a late check-out is to sleep longer comfortably, not to wake up early just to ask again. Another issue was the extremely poor soundproofing. The walls are so thin that you can hear virtually everything from neighboring rooms, including bathroom use, which seriously affected the comfort of the stay.
Good location! Bus stops and metro station nearby, less than 20 mins walk to the center. Overall our stay was okay. The receptionists were very nice and approachable which we appreciated. However, there are some things that could definitely be improved. The room was not very soundproof—you can easily hear noise from outside, people in the hallway, and even from the neighboring rooms. The cleanliness also needs attention; there were visible marks on the mirrors, dirt marks on the walls and some hair and dust on the floor when we arrived. It would help if the hotel invested in more thorough or professional cleaning. The bathroom has bathtub but it can't really be used for bathing,so its only practical to use it as a shower. With better cleaning and some improvements to the facilities, the overall experience could be much better 😊
