Hotel Catalonia Port

This is our go-to hotel in Barcelona. It’s clean, comfortable, and has everything we need. Above all, the people who work there go above and beyond to take care of their guests and are so warm and friendly. Carmen in reception (maybe a manager?) was exceptionally professional and capable.

I was a bit worried about my hotel stay during my trip to Barcelona, especially because I hadn’t had great experiences in previous visits to Europe. After reading good reviews and hearing reassurance from my travel agent, I decided to trust it — and I’m glad I did. The experience exceeded every expectation. From day one, the service stood out. I watched Noelia go out onto the street to personally find a taxi for a guest who couldn’t get one. That level of care says everything. Every staff member I met was genuinely helpful, always with a warm smile. When I asked for restaurant recommendations that weren’t tourist traps, they suggested places they actually enjoy. Listen to them — the food was incredible. This hotel had excellent value! Well located near port/short walk to beach, short walk to metro station to all major sights in Barcelona, and very close to Las Ramblas. Service was very good. Overall felt like a small boutique luxury hotel but not luxury prices. Good breakfast. Nice little pool area and excellent gym. Sometimes a little noisy at night in this neighborhood but overall ok. Service was slow to get a meal from the bar but otherwise we were very happy with the service at this hotel.

We only spent one night in your hotel, and from now on we would always make it our go to hotel. The room was spacious and clean, the beds very comfortable and the shower was great. The breakfast was one of the best we've ever had. I loved the egg and potato tortilla and the xuixo crema, were so authentic and delicious. And the service was top notch. So glad my wife and daughter found your hotel.
