Hotel Best Front Maritim

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We were here for 8 dags, 7 nights. We also payed 130 euro's tourist tax, which was a shocker. The hotel doesn't feel like 4 stars, would say 2 stars is more appropriate. The bathroom makes the room feel nice, but it wasn't anything special. Room Service came everyday for the cleaning of the toilets, new towels, making our beds, emptying the trashcan. We had ok beds, there were clean. Two pillows each. Breakfast till 10.30, they keep on restocking, but they can't keep up. Tables stay dirty, not enough plates, empty machines, doesn't feel like luxury. There is no pool, there is a sauna and a Turkish bath (hot steam sauna), these are included in the stay and will take the staff 20 minutes to prepare. A 11 minute walk to the metro, we did a 10 rides card. When you walk to the metro you pass a big supermarket, great to get some waters. There's also a shop next to the hotel, but that one is rather pricey (3 eur big ice tea/9.50 Marlboro 20ps). A 5 minute walk to the beach, that's amazing. Central location and you'll get everywhere with the metro.

We stayed for 2 nights as we wanted the best of Barcelona (beach and not too far from city centre). We did the pre-check in online which made actual check in very easy. The ladies at front desk were so lovely, very smiley, friendly and gave recommendations. We stayed on the top floor in room 2713 (I think) and although the furniture is basic, it was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was fantastic and the beds were comfy. Bottled water was provided for free in the fridge which was nice, especially after a long journey. The bathroom was funky, I liked it! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the very wobbly sliding glass door for it. But this is only a minor thing. Great location to, a 5 minute walk to the beach, loads of restaurants nearby. The city centre is about a 50 minute walk but there is a metro 10 mins away and also bus services. I decided to walk because I wanted to get my steps in. Breakfast was great, loads of options such as fresh fruit, pastries, meats, eggs, coffee, tea, juice. Would highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Very good hotel. The location is excellent, right in front of the beach, close to the train station, and with easy access to buses to the city centre. There is also a lovely small coffee shop nearby serving delicious local food, which was a great bonus during our stay. The staff were very flexible with the check-out time, and we really appreciated having the option to leave our luggage for a few extra hours after checking out. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Overall this was a comfortable stay for the price paid. The housekeeping service was great, and the breakfast was quite nice. I wouldn’t say it was to the standard of a 4 star hotel but definitely sufficient. Be prepared for the city tax as it’s hefty, we paid £51 for a 3 night stay. The hotel is situated well for those looking to travel into Barcelona, the H16 bus takes you to central Barcelona in 35mins, with a stop 3mins away from the hotel.
